Hildegart Rodríguez, a precocious and prolific writer in Spain's 1930s, raised by her mother to become a model of future women. Hildegart is conceived and educated by her mother Aurora to be the woman of the future, becoming one of the most brilliant minds of the Spain of the 30s and one of the European references on female sexuality. At 18, Hildegart begins to experience freedom and meets Abel Vilella, who helps her explore a new emotional world and break away from her mother's rigid nest. Aurora fears losing control over her daughter and does everything she can to prevent Hildegart from moving away. "In life, we first organize large stones (Piedras) such as love, friendship, family, and a career." In this way, we will find space between these to fit smaller stones, our small necessities. If you act in an inverse way, you will not have the room for larger stones. The five protagonists of my film are women who have not been able to organize the large "stones" in their lives. Ramón Salazar, Spanish director defines his first feature Stones in this way. The film tells the parallel, conflicting trajectory of five women: Anita, Isabel, Adela, Leire, and Maricarmen. All are endeavoring to remove the stones that insistently appear in their path or, worst, that are in their shoes. They are five Cinderellas in search of prince charming and a new chance in life. —Gonz30

In Lapland's cold Arctic Circle, under the eternal midnight sun, unfavourable circumstances reunite two kindred spirits. And governed by circular motifs woven by faith and love, they must answer a pivotal question. Can they deny destiny? Otto and Ana are kids when they meet each other. Their names are palindromes. They meet by chance, people are related by chance. A story of circular lives, with circular names, and a circular place (Círculo polar) where the day never ends in the midnight sun. As a result, pivotal events between the two ends of life's continuum, the beginning and the end, weave a mystical pattern. Before long, Otto and Ana discover their life's purpose--separation is only a part of the journey. And then, under cold Lapland's eternal midnight sun, an entirely different circle reunites the estranged kindred spirits. But the shrewd machinations of coincidence and chance pose insurmountable obstacles. Now, only blind faith can bind Ana and Otto's non-linear life path. However, another cycle awaits them.
