Ala Modalaini is a youthful romantic entertainer. It is a simple love story of Gautham (Nani) and Nithya (Nitya Menen) who meet and fall in love, though the realization hits them much later.

Naani and his pals are Kabbadi aficionado who form a team named as 'Bheemili - Kabaddi Jattu' and they are trained by Kishore who spots their prowess to play Kabbadi for the state level tournament. Saranya Mohan plays the role of Naani's love. Whether Naani wins the game and his love interest forms the rest of the story.
