Rakesh falls in love with Shwetha and goes through a romantic journey. He faces a lot of hurdles in the journey and how he overcomes those hurdles forms the plot of the story.

The film revovles around a daring girl who cheats and steals from the corrupt and gluttonous people to help the needy blind children in an orphanage.

He later finds out that his step father was charged against a murder case by his own son who was conspiring against him to usurp his property. Mussanje Maathu is directed by debutant Mahesh. The story revolves around a radio jockey, Pradeep who hosts an evening programme. He consoles emotionally affected people via radio. One such caller who seeks his advice is Tanu, who is trying to come to terms with losing her mother and her father`s abandonment. Tanu falls in love with Pradeep. After Tanu is re-united with her reformed father with the efforts of Pradeep, her father arranges her marriage with someone else. What happens next is what forms the crux of the film.

Preetham loves Nandhini but gets heartbroken when he comes to know that her marriage is already fixed. Things change when she challenges him to win her heart.
