Nandu works hard as a farmer living off one crop to another, setting his eyes towards the sky praying for timely rain. However, his debt keeps rising by the day, including the worry of an unmarried sister in the family. Nandu is joined by his friend from the city, Rajaram, who comes to the village out of compulsion, but with big hopes of growing a crop with limited resources. Like a good friend he comes to the rescue of Nandu, during his hard times, but that support is not enough to shoulder the burden falling on Nandu.

Dadasaheb, a kind-hearted villager, arranges the marriage of his disrespectful son Avinash to Gauri. On the wedding day, a letter revealing Gauri's facial scars changes everything, leading her to reject Avinash and instead choose to marry Namya, a physically challenged man.

Raju and Vicky are childhood friends. Both attend the same school, spend time together, participate and excel in the same sports, and are also good in their studies. When the two month summer vacation begins, it results in tragedy for both of them, as Raju's dad loses his eyesight, and Vicky's mom passes away after giving birth to baby boy, and his dad is on the run from the police for murder.
