Badki and Chutki are sisters and live with their parents Shivshankar and Sabitri Sahay on the banks of River Ganga in Benaras. The family is quite poor but very close knit. Badki decides to take charge of the financial situation when it seems as if Chutki will have to give up her education. She goes to Mumbai to make a living. By chance, she becomes a part of the flesh trade of the city. She keeps the secret to herself while Chutki completes her education successfully. But what happens when Chutki follows her sister to Mumbai? Do the sisters face reality? Does Badki ever find love?
