Pasupathy Ramasaamy

The teenage son of a farmer from an underprivileged caste kills a rich, upper caste landlord. Will the farmer, a loving father and a pacifist by heart, be able to save his hot-blooded son?

The movie tells the story of incidents which take place inside a bus which is on its way to Madurai from Punalur.

Sura is an action-packed film, set in a fishermen colony. Vijay and Tammana play the lead-pair, supported by Pasupathi, Vadivelu and Riyaz Khan. Sura is a fisherman who becomes a one man army and fights injustice when goons try to swindle the simple fisherfolk.

The film's story revolves around a taxi driver and the son of a rich businessman, in which the two come in contact. The taxi driver, protective of his profession, lets everyone think he is an insurance broker while the rich youngster has the problem of retrieving his father's will and eventually leaves the locker key in the taxi driver's cab in an accident. The driver gets falsely accused and is put in jail while the rest of his family comes to know his true job as a taxi driver. The debacles that occur thereafter form the climax of the story.

Rajnikant plays the role of Superstar and his friend is Pasupathy who plays a barber. Pasupathy`s wife is played by Meena, while Nayantara is Rajni`s pair. The story is about friendship and such noble values. About how Rajnikant is busy with his career and doesn`t have much time for his friend. The film has a remarkable climax which so impressed Rajni that he wanted to do the film.
