Ranjit Katiyal is an Indian businessman who leads a happy and successful life in Kuwait with his family. However, when Iraq invades Kuwait, he decides to risk his life to save his stranded countrymen to make their way back to India.

The story is about young vikram saigal (arjun rampal), a brilliant law student. Despite the fact that he secured his degree with distinction, he refused to hold the brief, because he felt convinced that the ideals he stood for, clashed irreconcilably with those being practiced by the establishment. He knew he couldn't ever hope to change the order of the establishment but he certainly could aim at and strive for the founding of an institution as distinct from the vicious mainstream where corruption was the order of the day. And it was as if he had given a promise to himself that he wouldn't wear the gown and enter the portals of justice, until he achieved what he aimed for, yet, the moment came where he was obliged to don the gown and fight a case, his first and last, and strangely enough, in defense of himself.
