The marriage of NRI Rad (Anupam Mittal) to his American fiance Jenni (Jicky Schnee) brings his Hindi-speaking parents Mr. Gopalakrishna (Anjan Srivastav) and Mrs. Gopalakrishna (Bharati Achrekar) to the US where they quickly adapt to American ways. Mr. Gopalakrishna is scandalized to see women smoking in America and Mrs. Gopalakrishna wishes that Rad had chosen a nice Indian bride to wed. Mr. & Mrs. Gopalakrishna go for long walks while Rad is away for work. In time, Rad introduces Jenni to his parents. Her parents are divorced (her dad remarried and has an art business, while her mom moved to California. It was her mother who left her father) and the Gopalakrishnas are not able to follow what she says as she has an accent. The Gopalakrishnas want Jenni to wear a Saree and family jewels to the wedding ceremony, but she tells Rad that she bought her wedding dress months ago. Plus, they want an Indian ceremony. On a trip to the museum, they learn that Jenni had a boyfriend before Rad. Mrs. Gopalakrishna tries to explain to Jenni that she should try and workout her problems with Rad rather than opting for divorce. For a group photo that Mrs. Gopalakrishna wants to share with her family back home, she makes Jenni cover up her top with a sweater. Gopalakrishnas have a parcel to deliver to the son of a family friend, but Rad keeps putting it off. So, Mr Gopalakrishna decides to take matters into his own hands and decides to deliver the parcel by himself. Meanwhile, Kartik (Reef Karim), tries to maintain a long-distance relationship with his friend Rachna (Pooja Kumar) while her aunt (Sangeet Sharma) tries to set her up with a well-educated man Ramana (Manan Katohara). Karthik is based on the US East coast, while Rachna is on the West Coast. Ramana is a software consultant and doesn't talk much. Rachna has not chemistry with Ramana and narrates the dull and boring meeting with him to Kartik. Rachna is frustrated at work when coworker Randy Sandy (Tushar Unadkat) is promoted over her, simply because he plays golf with the boss. Kartik tries to cheer Rachna by taking her out on a phone date, as they have a candle lit dinner in their respective homes, at the same time, while talking on the phone. Kartik wants Rachna to come to the East Coast, but she is not ready yet. Later, Ramana calls again and says that he was not ready to meet Rachna as her aunt suddenly invited him. He apologizes for the awkward meeting and proceeds to have an interesting conversation with Rachna. In reality, this time he had notes on interesting topics for a conversation with a woman. Threatened by Ramana, Kartik comes over to meet Rachna. Even then, Rachna goes for a date with Ramana. A bored housewife Sangita (Sireesha Katragadda) is neglected by her workaholic husband Nikhil (Gaurang Vyas). She calls her Telugu-speaking mother and spends her time doing household chores. Unbeknownst to her, Sangita's husband lost her job and been laid off a while back but was too embarrassed to tell her. Before leaving office, Nikhil sent off a nasty email, and deleted all the technical documentation of his project. Nikhil and Rad are good friends. Sangeeta watches the Gopalakrishnas on their daily walks around the neighborhood. Candy (Rishma Malik) has to deal with her roommates Vivek (Gaurav Rawal), Ashok (Punit Jasuja) and Jas (Gaurav Rawal). The roommates are messy and no amount of rule-making by Candy and bring them into line. Candy is the HR manager of the company, and the guys stay in the company guesthouse by paying rent to Candy. Vivek is depressed after he lost his job (as he did not complete his code testing in time). Vivek keeps calling his girlfriend Gita in India and every time her father picks the phone. The father threatens Vivek with dire consequences and warns him not to call anymore. Turns out Rad is friends with Vivek too and manages to get him a job. It also turns out that the parcel that the Gopalakrishnas got from India was for Vivek. The parcel is a care package, which also contains a wedding invitation. This is how Vivek learns that his lover from India, Gita, has already got married with someone else. Vivek is distraught and heartbroken. Meanwhile, the Gopalakrishnas lost Rad's address. Flavors is the name of the bar where Rachna and Ramana are having their date. Rad and Nikhil meet here all the time. While Candy brings the 3 guys Vivek, Ashok and Jas to the bar to get Vivek drunk and to cheer him up. Vivek ends up falling in love with Candy instead. Her real name is Chandramukhi. Candy tells Vivek to grow up. Rad finally learns from Nikhil that he lost his job. Gopalakrishnas run into Kartik and Rachna outside the bar (where Kartik was waiting for the date to be over). Kartik offers to drop the Gopalakrishnas to their home. Gopalakrishnas invite Kartik and Rachna to the wedding. Nikhil returns home and tells Sangita that he lost his job, and she is nothing but supportive as she says that now they can finally spend some time together. That night Kartik finally tells Rachna that he loves her and that he cannot let Rachna go to Ramana that easily. Rachna considers Kartik as a friend and cannot digest all this new information thrown at her. All these characters convene at Rad and Jenni's marriage. Karthik's phone keeps ringing non-stop and interrupts the wedding proceedings. Jenni wears an Indian traditional wedding dress. Turns out that Vivek;s Gita is Nikhil's Sangita. Gita didn't even remember Vivek's name. Turns out Vivek had never spoken to Gita in college, and it was only an one-sided love. It was Rachna calling Kartik all the time. Rachna makes Kartik propose to her and then she accepts.
