However, he witnesses her fight her sense of responsibility and duty towards her parents and the groom, and runs away. Narayanan "Nanu" Iyer (Ranvir Shorey) is Sid's best friend. Shalini (Tarana Raja) is Sid's sister, married to Kapil (Aamir Bashir). Shalini and Kapil have typical married couple fights over trivial matters and Sid is a witness to all that.. Nina Manuel (Sapna Bhavnani) was Nanu's girlfriend. She broke up with Nanu as he had a filthy habit of not taking baths or changing underwear for days. Now she is getting married to someone else. Nanu still loves Nina. Nanu runs a bar, as he always dreamed. Six months later, he meets her again at a DJ competition in Mumbai, which he has just lost, yet again. Before you know it, they're in a relationship (they start with some casual dating, where they end up making fun of each other. Sid is short and Trisha is a typical "delhi" girl) (They both think they wont last as a couple beyond a month), and three years have passed. Trisha thinks she is ready for marriage, and gets down on her knee to propose to Sid. Sid suffering from the typical commitment phobia, is at a loss for a reasonable answer. Nanu also tells Sid that Trisha is not going to abandon her training "investment" in Sid for the last 3 yrs. Sid's mother advises him to marry Trisha asap, as she is taller and at least the kids will be of good height. Anjali (Dracula) (Suchitra Pillai-Malik) is Trisha's friend who hates Sid. Sid tries to win the argument with Trisha, but she ends up crying. In a bid to not lose her, Sid finds himself engaged. But along with the engagement comes a new set of problems - such as shopping for furniture for their home, thinking about kids (and their names. Trisha is upset when Trisha thinks he is not ready to have kids) engagement rings (Shalini wanted Sid to buy an expensive ring, but Trisha had said that she will wear whatever Sid buys. So Sid buys a practical, cheaper engagement ring. This makes Trisha upset and she returns to the store to exchange the ring for an expensive one), and more importantly facing the father of the bride! The father Retd. Major Gen. Veera Bhadra Mallik (Sharat Saxena) has more than one problem with Sid. He doesn't have a future (as a DJ), he earns a lot less than Trisha, and he doesn't seem responsible enough. Sid spends the night at Major Mallik's house, sleeping on his sofa (with a plastic sheet on it).. The next morning Mallik wakes him up really early and takes him jogging. Mallik tries to talk Sid out of marrying Trisha and the same afternoon he takes everyone to meet Vivek (who has just returned from US and has become the youngest COO in all of AP).. at a game of golf, Mallik needles Sid to play and Sid doesn't hit the ball, and his club flies out of his hand and into Mallik car Over an altercation Sid has with Mr Mallik (Sid tells Trisha that her dad cant accept whats happening in her life and Mallik counters that Sid cant understand the role of a father as his own dad abandoned his family when he was a kid), the couple break up. Vivek, Trisha's ex-husband-to-be, is waiting in the wings, to help her broken heart mend. Sid on the other hand, finds himself being wooed by item girl, Tanya (Sophie Choudry), star of the 'Baby Girl vol. 3' video. Sid had run into Tanya at Nanu's bar where he was DJing. Tanya wants Sid to help her produce her next dance video. Tanya asks Sid to come up to her place for "coffee" and he refuses. Nanu is really angry at Sid for passing up on this chance. The next time Sid takes the invite and goes for coffee, but he gets psyched out and cant go through with it.. Shalini finds out and tells Sid that he has to be friends with Trisha, before he can have "coffee" with anyone else.. After a few amusing run-ins (Sid tries to figure out how much has Trisha shopped for (Rs 10500) to get over him), an attempt to be just-friends (Sid visits Trisha on her birthday only to find that Vivek has thrown a big party for her. Trisha tells Sid that she is marrying Vivek in a month) (Sid proposes a dinner between the 4 of them.. its a disaster as Tanya starts choking on her food and Vivek saves her life with the Heimlich maneuver), and a sad-song ("Jaane Kya" sung by Zubin), Sid, finally realizes, thanks to his mother, that his commitment phobia is the result of a childhood scar. His father abandoned Sid and his mother, when Sid was very young. His mother reassures him, that he is nothing like his father, and would make a great husband. Tanya tells Sid that he can never have coffee with anyone other than Trisha, as he is totally committed to her. But it's too late, Trisha has already agreed to marry Vivek. This leads him to Trisha's dear friend Anjali (Suchitra Pillai), who reminds him of Dracula because she always attacks him, for making Trisha unhappy. She helps him crash Trisha's wedding party (by smuggling him inside a big box furniture). The climax builds up, as Sid's job involves not just convincing Trisha that his hang-ups have abated, but also avoid a deadly confrontation with Trisha's father. Trisha wants Sid to make her run away from the wedding, but then she has to take charge as "Mumbai" boys are useless and cant even run away a bride from her wedding. This movie appears to be based on the Hollywood movie High Fidelity High Fidelity (film).

Read more →The film opens at St. Stephen's College in Delhi with the story of three students, Siddharth Tyabji (Kay Kay Menon), Geeta Rao (Chitrangada Singh) and Vikram Malhotra (Shiney Ahuja). Siddharth is a driven revolutionary who dreams of bringing a revolution in the state of Bihar that will end the caste-based discrimination there; bring social justice and change the society for the better. Geeta is a London returned, South Indian girl in love with the firebrand Siddharth. She has led a very sheltered life thus far and is yet to explore the terrain of the Indian Socio-political landscape. While she finds Siddharth's Naxalite rhetoric attractive, she is not sure if she can subscribe to it with her full heart. And every time they come to point of choice, Siddharth chooses his ideology over his love for her thus breaking her heart time and again. Vikram is a middle-class boy who dreams of making it big, whatever the cost. He is particularly afflicted by his father's Gandhian ideas, but irritated and frustrated at the same time, seeing his father's way of life as ineffective in bringing about a change. Vikram loves Geeta, without any reciprocation from her side for his feelings. Vikram despises Siddharth, mainly for having the affections of Geeta. Vikram sees Geeta and Siddharth having sex. Siddharth leaves for Bihar to bring about a revolution; Geeta leaves for Oxford to get a degree (She refuses to go with Siddharth, citing resistance from her parents), and Vikram sets up an office in Delhi. A few years later, Vikram is a fixer in the power corridors of government, Geeta is married to a promising IAS Officer Arun Mehta (played by Ram Kapoor) who, as Geeta says, "has it all", and Siddharth is still trying to ferment a revolution. But all is not as it seems. Below the mask of happiness, each is quite unhappy. Vikram has 'made it', but he still cannot get Geeta, the love of his life. Geeta is married, but she still meets Siddharth on the sly, cheating on her husband. Siddharth has a split in his organization and decides to rebuild his roots in the hinterland of Bihar. He tells Geeta that he can't see her for a while. Vikram buys an old palace for 3.5 Crores with the intention of turning it into a hotel. For this, he has to involve his relatives to pitch in with funds, who are in politics. Eventually, Geeta gets a divorce from her husband because of her love for Siddharth, even though she does not want to hurt her husband's feelings. Geeta joins Siddharth in the village where she starts to teach the children of the village, whilst the police repeatedly try to hunt down her now husband, Siddharth. She bears a child with Siddharth whom she sends to London to her parents since she believes he deserves more than to grow up in the remote village. Eventually the police round up the entire village, capturing Siddharth and Geeta for intent to cause unrest and brutally assault them both, fabricating a story of a villagers' riot to explain their injuries. Geeta is soon bailed out of prison by her now influential ex-husband, while Siddharth, on the run, is shot by the police and admitted to a local hospital and is placed under arrest while Geeta believes him to have been killed. Vikram, who has been consoling Geeta and taking care of her during the absences of her ex-husband and of Siddharth, is informed that Siddharth is still alive. Vikram travels to meet Siddharth and release him using his influential contacts, however he has an accident on the way and is admitted to the same hospital as Siddharth. During the night, local Naxalites break into the crude hospital and free Siddharth while Vikram still lays there. The next morning, the policemen in charge of guarding Siddharth, frustrated, accuse Vikram of having conspiring to free Siddharth and beat him up. After discovering that he is a man of influence, they resolve to kill him and dump his body to make it unrecognizable. Vikram, terrified, attempts to escape but is chased down, however the policeman finds that the Naxalites have emptied his revolver, and they beat Vikram up with an iron rod. Soon, the police chief and a local politician come looking for Vikram and are able to stop the policemen from killing him. Vikram suffers heavy brain damage and is rendered handicapped, while Siddharth tells Geeta that he intends to leave but Geeta refuses to accompany him. Siddharth has moved beyond simply trying to foment a revolution and is prepared to delay it because he feels that the people are not ready in spite of their saying otherwise. He goes to London to study medicine and through a letter, voices his anguish and disillusion with the idea of revolution, he writes saying "I hope the mysteries of the human body will be less confusing" (in reference to his studying medicine and quitting the revolution). The last scenes show Geeta going back to continue working in the village and taking care of the handicapped Vikram, who can no longer speak. With Vikram writing "I love you Geeta" on a rock, as they both sit by a placid lake and watch the sunset.

Vikram says that Tina will be his chance to become immortal in the annals of music. Divya is jealous and says that in her time at the school, Vikram never praised her that way. But Rita doesn't want Tina to miss this chance of a lifetime as Vikram is a really successful singer and commercially a superstar. Rita tells Tina that Vikram already gave her a check for Rs 58,820 to hire a replacement for Tina at the bar. As Vikramaditya improves Tina's talent, she falls in love with him. Slowly, he molds her into a brilliant singer, and she emerges a star. They are mesmerized by her songs and want to sign Tina along with Vikram for his next album with them. In spite of Vikramaditya's dream coming true, he starts feeling jealous when he discovers Tina's success. He is not able to take in the fact that she is better than he is, so he starts competing with her. He agrees to Tina singing a song with him in his next album, but when Vishal and Pooja arrive, he presents Tina's song as his own. It was supposed to be a duet, but Vikram starts breaking her confidence, then dominates and overpowers her. He eradicates Tina from her own creation. Tina is completely broken down and can't understand why this is happening to her. Tina leaves the school. Her song is a blockbuster hit. At a party, One of Vikram's students Aqib (Harsh Vashisht), who was also good friends with Tina, confronts Vikram and accuses him of stealing Tina's song. Vikram throws Aqib out of the school, and for the first time Divya also tells Vikram to confront his own reality that he is refusing to acknowledge. Vikram starts drinking a lot and loses all control. Rita comes by and thanks Vikram profusely for the opportunity that he gave Tina. But she gives him a check for Tina's time at the school. Divya is livid and tells Vikram that he is wrong. Vikram goes to meet Tina and finds that she has become a sister at a convent. Vikram is devastated that he has destroyed Tina's life, but Divya helps him understand that Tina loves him. She asks Vikram not to give up. Vikram pursues Tina relentlessly and reminds her of her love for music. Vikram asks Vishal and Pooja to organize a concert in a week's time. They are super chuffed as this is the first concert Vikram has agreed to in his professional life. Vikram admits to Tina that he was a failure as he got jealous of his own student's success. Tina is moved by this confession and agrees to sing. On the day of the concert, Vikram goes missing and Pooja & Vishal beg Tina to sing to save the day. Tina performs at the concert dedicating her love for Vikramaditya, and the concert is a huge success.
