During the period of the Republic of China, on the occasion of the Hungry Ghost Festival, a special show for the Ghost King of Hell Mountain was performed in a dull and dim theater in Taiping County. It happened to be the birthday of Fang Jing Ru, the director of the police station, so his son had someone mess up the show and forcibly occupied the theater to celebrate his father's birthday. Just as everyone was immersed in the happy atmosphere, a burning living man fell from the sky above the stage, which was just like the scene of the Ghost King being burned during the Hungry Ghost Festival. At the same time, the paper figurines and the Ghost King memorial tablet under the stage also burst into flame instantly. People started saying that it was Fang Jing Ru who angered the Ghost King. Fang Jing Ru was furious and began to investigate the matter. The owner of the Funeral Supplies Shop in Fengtian, Xu Si Jiu, was also forced to get involved. With further investigation of the case, the story's main character, Xu Si Jiu, witnessed several tragedies and finally found out the truth behind.

Sirisha aspires to study music and moves to Hyderabad to learn violin. While in the city, she must share accommodation with a Sadashivam who is allergic to noise and plans to build a soundless vehicle. How romance blooms between two contrast personalities form the rest of the story.
