Super Nani is the story of Bharti Bhatia (Rekha) whose every waking hour is devoted to looking after the smallest need and praying for the betterment of her family comprising of her corporate czar husband (Randhir Kapoor), a son who is a wannabe stock market bull, a daughter-in-law who aspires to be the next soap-opera queen and a daughter with ultra modern values. She selflessly performs her duties only to get ridiculed, humiliated and treated like a door-mat by her family. An exciting tale begins when Mann pays a surprise visit to his Nani, Bharti Bhatia, in India. Opposite to his expectations of seeing a strong lady who holds command in life, he sees a soft and dormant lady who is commanded by all. This annoys him. So he decides to make his Nani`s sad boring life turn into a fun roller coaster ride.

The story of the film revolves around a guy who falls in love with his cousin`s best friend. He goes after his love to Punjab and is confronted by the girl`s brother who challenges the guy to farm and produce more seeds on the fields.

Professionally qualified as a lawyer, Somen lives a wealthy lifestyle with his mom, Parvati, and dad, Dharam Bhushan, who presides over the town of Shripuri as an upper caste Hindu Priest. During the Dassera fest, Somen meets with village belle, Kajri, and falls in love with her despite of the fact that she is of a much lower caste. After seeking his mom's permission, he goes to bring Kajri to meet her, but finds out that she has left for an unknown destination. Unable to stand his dad's hypocrisy and Bhagwan Shri Ram's temple being misused by Kedar Nath, Somen leaves home to go to the city but is unable to get Kajri out of his mind. A year later he returns home to the same fest, but is still unable to locate Kajri. When his dad insists that he marry Kedar's daughter, Somen not only refuses but leaves home to go and stay with his paternal uncle, Nandlal, who runs a Dairy farm. This is where he meets with Kajri and both rekindle their romance. Somen returns home, convinces his mom initially to approve of Kajri, and is pleasantly surprised to find that even his dad has given his approval. On the day of the marriage, Somen's world is turned upside down when his dad accuses Kajri of being a woman of ill repute as well as an unwed mother. Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985), directed by Raj Kapoor, is a bold film that explores themes of purity, love, and social morality against the backdrop of rural India. The film marked Raj Kapoor`s return to filmmaking after a long gap and became one of his most talked-about works. The film stars Rajiv Kapoor, Raj Kapoor`s younger son, in the role of a simple and idealistic young man, Ram, who sets out to bring back his fiancee, Ganga (Mandakini), whom he had promised to marry. Ganga is symbolically portrayed as the "pure" Ganga river, but her journey is fraught with exploitation, corruption, and tragedy. The film contrasts Ganga`s purity with the dirty waters of the River Ganga, metaphorically suggesting that society often taints what it considers pure.

Singer Chandermohan is born in a well-off family and is the only child. Since he is of marriageable age, both he and his parents want him to get married. But since he was born with a strong & adverse influence of Mars (Mangalik) during his birth his horoscope has not been compatible with any suitable woman. On his friend's Gafoor's, who has two wives, advice he re-locates to Bombay, sings at the Tejpal Auditorium, meets and falls in love with wealthy Asha, who lives with her widower dad, ironically named Colonel Mangal Singh and her paternal grandma. Mangal would like Asha to get married to an army officer. His attempts fail and Asha and his mom convince him to let Asha, who is also Manglik, get married to Chandermohan. He reluctantly falls in line with them, but then a series of events makes everyone change their mind about Chandermohan, namely a fake astrological chart that shows he is not Manglik, and his accusations about Mangal, who he alleges is leading a double life, romancing, wooing, and having a child with wealthy Nisha, Nirmala from Jeevan Saathi matrimonial bureau and Rina respectively, apart from being an alcoholic, robbing Chandermohan, stealing from his own house, and exhibiting goon-like behavior. Shankar is a hoodlum who lives in a shanty hut with his pregnant wife, Kanta, and makes a living as a career criminal. He prays to Lord Shiv that if he is blessed with a male child, he will ensure that the child does not take to his path, but instead grows up to a decent and honest human being. His wife does give birth to a baby boy, and Shankar loots the ill-gotten gains of another hoodlum named J.K.. A furious J.K. hunts down Shankar in an attempt to abduct his son, but Shankar takes his child and switches him with one belonging to renowned stage artist, Ashok Kumar. Shankar gets into a scuffle with J.K. and his men, killing one of them, getting arrested, tried in Court, and being sentenced to 14 years in jail. Kanta passes away, while Dharam is left in the care of a wrestler, Bhim Singh, and a mid-wife, Ganga. Dharam is taught to be a hoodlum, but wants to focus on becoming a singer, while Ranjit has taken to alcohol, gambling, and a life of crime under J.K. himself. After his discharge, Shankar finds to his delight out that Ashok has brought up Ranjit and both are stage actors. Then his world descends into chaos when he finds out that Ranjit is in fact Dharam, while his very son, Ranjit has taken to a life of crime. Angered at Dharam, he beats him up and asks him to be a hoodlum like himself, he also beats up Ranjit and asks him to obey Ashok and follow in his footsteps. Whille Shambhu re-locates to live in Bombay, Neelkanth continues to reside in the same residence. Years later both children have grown up, so Neelkanth invites the Naths to finalize the nuptials. Very soon the Pandeys will face humiliation and ridicule at the hands of Parvati, who now calls herself Pamela, and Shambhu, who wants his daughter to marry someone sophisticated and wealthy, while Parvati is in love with a singer named Rocky. Widower Ram Kapoor lives a very wealthy lifestyle in Bombay, but is very lonely, as his only child, a son named Rajesh, lives abroad, and his aged dad, Diwan Bahadur, lives in the village. Ram frequently throws lavish parties to overcome this loneliness. This changes when Rajesh returns home, and he is able to convince Diwan also to return so that the three could live together. Shortly thereafter differences crop up between Rajesh and Diwan - initially on love and marriage; then on Caste issues; then the marriage of Rajesh, which is arranged with Diwan's friend, Thakur Janak Singh's daughter, Rukmani, while Rajesh wants to marry Monica. Things come to such a pass that Ram decides to leave, takes to women and alcohol in a big way, and becomes the subject of a big scandal. Ram returns home after Diwan and Rajesh apologize and agree to live together in harmony. This harmony does not last long as soon Ram finds out that his very own father and son had conspired against him in a charade to get him to return home just to avoid further scandal. The first colour film produced by Raj Kapoor, "Sangam" (1964), one of the greatest love triangles of Indian cinema, features outstanding performances by Raj Kapoor, who plays Sunder, Rajendra Kumar, who plays his best friend Gopal and Vyjyanthimala, who plays Radha. Both men are in love with Radha, but she is in love with Gopal. When Sunder confides in Gopal that he is in love with Radha, Gopal sacrifices his love in the name of friendship and steps aside. Later, Sunder, a fighter pilot, is presumed dead when his aircraft is shot down. Radha and Gopal are about to be married, when Sunder returns safe and sound. Gopal once again steps back and Sunder and Radha get married. Their marital life is ruptured when Sunder discovers an unsigned love letter to Radha written by Gopal. What follows is a descent into misery as Sunder is consumed with jealousy.
