Praise the Lord is an adaptation of Zacharia`s short story of the same name. Joy (Mammootty) is an immensely rich farmer based in Pala. He is not aware of the life beyond his small town in Pala as he has not got an opportunity to explore the outside world. But a boy and girl, who are in love, change Joy`s outlook on life. The crux of the story is about the unpredictability of life and how it silently takes over a placid existence

Immanuel's life takes an odd turn when the publishing firm that he works for shuts down. He gets a job in an insurance company but faces severe hardships, which end up changing him as a person. Immanuel works for a publishing house that is counting its days. The publishing house is owned by Joseph, whom Immanuel treats like his father. Debts force Joseph to leave behind his business. But Joseph recommends Immanuel to a job interview of an insurance company. Though Immanuel lacks the domain knowledge, through his selling prowess he gets the job. He gets a new boss, Jeevan. Jeevan is ambitious professional. He sets up a professional challenge for Immanuel . Now its Immanuel turn to stick to morality when it comes to business.
