World-famous violinist Ryan Harrison (Leslie Nielsen) is seen giving a concert. Afterwards, he goes to a party where he meets Hibbing Goodhue (Michael York), a millionaire who sponsors Harrison's performances, as well as Goodhue's seductive wife Lauren (Kelly Le Brock) and his possible mistress Cass Lake (Melinda McGraw). The next evening, he finds a note from Lauren in his car which summons him to the Goodhue residence. When he goes to the Goodhue mansion, he bumps into Sean Laughrea (Aaron Pearl), who has just killed Goodhue (together with an unknown accomplice). A violent fight follows, during which Harrison discovers that Sean is missing an eye, an arm, and a leg, and he overhears the preparations for an operation with the codename "Highlander" before he is knocked out. When he wakes up, Harrison finds himself arrested and convicted for the murder of Goodhue. Desperate to prove his innocence, Harrison escapes from his prison transport following an accident. Lieutenant Fergus Falls (Richard Crenna) arrives on the scene with his two partners, takes charge, barks out orders and vows to do whatever it takes to capture the fugitive. Harrison returns to the Goodhue mansion where he encounters Cass, who is trying to retrieve something from behind a portrait. She tells him she knows he's innocent and believes Lauren is the killer, but refuses to say anything to the police because Lauren is her sister. She provides him with a place to hide and helps him shake his pursuers, but Harrison's opportunities to rest are short and fleeting: Falls seems to find him wherever he goes, and Cass behaves suspiciously, increasing Harrison's doubts of whom to trust. Harrison gradually begins to piece together the puzzle; he remembers that Sean was present at the party as the bartender and was given a great amount of money by Cass. He also finds that Cass is strangely interested in Sir Robert McKintyre, the secretary-general of the United Nations. Eventually, after investigating Sean's disabilities in a limb replacement clinic, he discovers that Cass, Lauren and Sean are planning an assassination attempt on McKintyre. He manages to follow the group but is caught. Cass shoots Harrison but actually fakes his death, both because she has fallen in love with him and because she wants to stop the assassination, since she has found out that McKintyre is really her father. Goodhue has been murdered by Sean and Lauren because he had come to suspect that his wife was actually a terrorist and had only used him to further her goals. At a Scottish festival, Harrison and Cass just barely manage to save McKintyre's life. They are cornered by Lauren, Sean and accomplices, but Fergus Falls and a SWAT team arrive just in the nick of time, arresting the terrorists. Falls officially tells Harrison that he was "wrongfully accused", clearing his name and acquitting him. In the last scene, the exonorated Harrison and Cass go on a cruise and are seen are riding on the bow of a cruise ship (spoofing 'Titanic') and end up bumping their heads on a low bridge.

A chauffeurs daughter, Sabrina falls for with the Larrabees son David. To push David into an advantageous marriage instead, his brother Linus pretends to woo Sabrina himself.

San Francisco Assistant District Attorney David Corelli (David Caruso) is called to the murder scene of prominent businessman Kyle Medford, found bludgeoned to death in his home by an antique hatchet. Police detectives Bob Hargrove (Michael Biehn) and Petey Vesko (Ken King) find photographs in Medford's safe of Governor Lew Edwards (Richard Crenna) having sex with a prostitute, later identified as Patrice Jacinto (Angie Everhart). During questioning, Patrice reveals that other women and she were paid by Medford to have sex with wealthy men at his beach house in Pacifica. She also informs them that the most desired prostitute among the clients was a woman known only as "Jade". In a private meeting with Governor Edwards and aide Bill Barrett (Holt McCallany), Corelli is warned not to make the photographs public. Corelli is then almost killed when his brake line is deliberately cut and his vehicle goes out of control while driving down a steep hill. The detectives find fingerprints on the hatchet belonging to Katrina 'Trina' Gavin (Linda Fiorentino), a clinical psychologist and former lover of Corelli's who eventually got married to his close friend, defense attorney Matt Gavin (Chazz Palminteri). When interviewed at a police station, Katrina explains that Medford gave her a tour of his antique collection on the day in question, but claims that she had nothing to do with his death. At Medford's beach house, Corelli and the detectives find various drugs, alcohol, and sex toys, as well as hidden video cameras. They conclude Medford was recording the sex sessions to blackmail the men. Corelli is shocked to discover Katrina on one of the tapes; the revelation renews the detectives' interest in her as a suspect. Patrice arranges to meet Corelli at a restaurant to discuss Jade's identity, but she is murdered in a hit-and-run attack by an unknown assailant driving a black 1993 Ford Thunderbird. Corelli, witnessing the murder first-hand, chases the assailants' vehicle in vain. The detectives discover the Gavins own a similar Thunderbird, so they suspect Katrina of killing Patrice, but when they find the actual vehicle used in the hit-and-run abandoned, someone appears to be trying to frame Katrina. Katrina is again brought in for questioning and this time is shown the sex tape. Matt, in his capacity as her attorney, ends the interrogation before she fully explains her involvement. When confronted at their home, Katrina admits to her husband that she did have sex with the man on the tape, due in part to her knowledge of Matt's many affairs of his own with various women. Katrina visits Corelli at his apartment and tries unsuccessfully to seduce him. She admits having felt sexually liberated by sleeping with several men at the beach house. Meanwhile, the only witness to identify Katrina at the Pacifica beach house, a man named Henderson, is found murdered. Corelli informs the detectives at the crime scene that Katrina could not have killed Henderson because Corelli and she were together at the time. Back at his apartment, Corelli is met by Matt, who holds him at gunpoint and angrily accuses him of having sex with Katrina. He denies it and persuades Matt that his wife's life is in danger. They hurry to the Gavin home, where Detective Hargrove, Pat Callendar (David Hunt) and governor's aide Barrett have come to kill Katrina and search for the incriminating photos of the governor. Callendar is shot by Matt, but Barrett manages to escape. In the meantime, Hargrove is trying to rape and kill Katrina, but Corelli and Matt arrive and Hargrove is shot and killed by Matt. Corelli goes to Governor Edwards for a guarantee of Katrina's safety by leveraging his possession of the photographs. The governor denies any knowledge of Hargrove or Callendar's actions, but insinuates they were both acting on his behalf. In the final scene, as she gets ready for bed at home, Katrina finds photographs laid out in her bathroom of her having sex at the beach house. Matt admits to Katrina that he was the one who killed Medford, certain that Medford eventually would blackmail them both. He then tells Katrina to "introduce me to Jade" the next time they "make love".

Loner Rambo leaves a Buddhist monastery to free his Green Beret mentor from Soviets in Afghanistan. Weary of the horrors of war, the expert in guerrilla tactics, John Rambo, has settled in exotic Thailand since the suicide rescue mission in Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985). However, John will return to action, when his grizzled mentor, Colonel Sam Trautman, gets trapped behind the enemy lines in Soviet-infested Afghanistan, after a botched attempt to aid the remaining rebel pockets. Now, there's no turning back--and as each minute counts--John must act fast before it's too late. Once more, the government will deny John's existence if the men of the ruthless Soviet Colonel, Zaysen, capture him. But, John shows no mercy, and, this time, he fights for his friend. Can Rambo save the only man who ever stood by him? —Nick Riganas John Rambo's former Vietnam superior, Colonel Samuel Trautman, has been assigned to lead a mission to help the Mujahedeen rebels who are fighting the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, but the Buddhist Rambo turns down Trautman's request that Rambo help out. When the mission goes belly up and Trautman is kidnapped and tortured by Russian Colonel Zaysen, Rambo launches a rescue effort and allies himself with the Mujahedeen rebels and gets their help in trying to rescue Trautman from Zaysen. —Todd Baldridge John Rambo, unwilling to accompany old friend Colonel Trautman behind Soviet lines in Afghanistan, ends up going there on an unofficial rescue mission after Trautman is captured. Bullets and bombs fly in all directions as the indestructible Rambo quickly works his way through a large camp of Soviet soldiers. —Rob Hartill

John Rambo, the former Green Beret of the United States Army, is incarcerated at a penal labor facility three years after the events in Hope, Washington. His commanding officer from the Vietnam War, Colonel Sam Trautman, greets him. According to Trautman, reports that prisoners of war are still being held in Vietnam are putting pressure on the U.S. government. Rambo's name was proposed because he is familiar with the POW camp, and a solo infiltration mission has been authorized to verify these reports in order to appease the public. In return for a presidential pardon, Rambo consents to accept the mission. Rambo and Trautman arrive in Thailand, where they are met by Ericson, the helicopter pilot, his partner Lifer, and Marshall Murdock, the bureaucrat in charge of the operation. Instead of interacting with enemy personnel or attempting a rescue, he is told to take photographs of a suspected POW camp. Rambo only has faith in Trautman, the only person working on the operation. Rambo's parachute is snagged during his aerial launch. Only knives and a bow and arrow remain after he is forced to cut himself free and abandon the majority of his equipment. They are taken upriver by local river pirates, who are arranged by his designated contact, Vietnamese intelligence agent Co Bao. Rambo arrives at the Vietnamese camp, where Lieutenant Tay and Captain Vinh are in charge. Rambo affirms that POWs are present. He releases prisoners of war. A Vietnamese gunboat closes in, and Rambo, Co., and Banks try to flee, but are betrayed by the river pirates. Using an RPG, Rambo disables the gunboat and eliminates the pirates. Rambo and Banks split off from Co. before they arrive at an extraction point. Trautman spots them on a rescue helicopter with Ericson and Lifer under mortar attack. After Trautman notifies base, Ericson is told to stop the rescue by Murdock. As the crew deserts Rambo and Banks, who are taken prisoner by the Vietnamese, Lifer stops Trautman from intervening. When he returns to base, Trautman confronts Murdock, who admits the mission was a hoax. In order to secure their release, the United States would have had to invest resources or possibly launch another war, so any evidence of prisoners of war would have been disregarded. Rambo discovers at the POW camp that the Soviet military is helping the Vietnamese. Rambo is mistreated and questioned by Soviet liaison Lieutenant Colonel Podovsky and Sergeant Yushin, his right-hand man. He is ordered by Podovsky to broadcast a warning to Murdock against conducting any more rescue operations. When Rambo declines, he is subjected to electric shock torture. When Banks is introduced and threatened with eye-gouging, he gives in. Rambo calls his base using a coded radio frequency, but he also threatens Murdock for betraying him, defeats his captors, and leaves the camp with the assistance of Co, who has infiltrated it. Rambo consents to take Co to the US while they are both evading capture. However, Lieutenant Tay later shoots Co. Cutting a red headband off of her dress and wearing her necklace, Rambo buries a dying Co after promising to remember her. Using guerrilla tactics and weapons, Rambo starts killing the Vietnamese and Russian soldiers. He also uses an explosive-tipped arrow to kill Tay. Rambo climbs aboard the helicopter and throws Yushin to his death after he attacks him from it. Then, he takes control of the helicopter and uses it to bombard the POW camp. He releases POWs, including Banks. Podovsky follows them in a Super Puma attack helicopter after they board the seized helicopter. Rambo uses a rocket launcher to destroy Podovsky's helicopter after feigning a crash to deceive him. Rambo goes back to base with the POWs. Rambo assaults Ericson for leaving him before destroying the mission control room's entire computer system. He demands that other prisoners of war be rescued and threatens Murdock. Rambo rejects Trautman's attempts to persuade him to return to a tranquil life at home, claiming that he wants the nation to take care of its soldiers in the same way that they take care of the nation. When Trautman asks Rambo how he would live, he responds, "day by day," and turns to leave.

An overworked and exhausted air-traffic controller takes his family on a long-awaited beach vacation but is soon beset by a series of mishaps. Jack Chester, an overworked air traffic controller, takes his family on vacation to the beach. Things immediately start to go wrong for the Chesters, and steadily get worse. Jack ends up in a feud with a local yachtsman, and has to race him to regain his pride and family's respect. —Rob Hartill

A Vietnam War veteran named John Rambo finds out that an old war buddy died from the effects of Agent Orange and makes his way to Hope, Washington, on foot in the early 1980s. Assuming Rambo is a vagrant, the local sheriff, Will Teasle, takes him to the edge of town and orders him to leave. Rambo is arrested after he turns around and heads back into town. Rambo becomes defiant while being processed at the police station, and Teasle's deputies-led by the cruel chief deputy Art Galt-abuse him, bringing back memories of the torture Rambo suffered in Vietnam. After battling his way out of the sheriff's office, Rambo takes back the knife that was taken from him and runs into the woods. Teasle sets up a search team that includes a helicopter, dogs, and rifles. Galt attempts to use a sniper rifle to kill Rambo from the helicopter while flagrantly disobeying Teasle's orders. The pilot momentarily loses control of the helicopter after Rambo hurls a rock at it. In a gorge below, Galt loses his footing and dies on the rocky rocks. Rambo tries to turn himself in to Teasle, claiming that Galt's death was an accident and that he does not want any more trouble, but he is shot at by the deputies and runs away. Despite learning that Rambo is a Medal of Honor recipient and Green Beret warrior, Teasle keeps looking for him. By employing guerrilla warfare, Rambo defeats every deputy. Rambo corners Teasle, puts a knife to his throat, and threatens him with "a war [Teasle] will not believe" if he does not give up the chase because the deputies are injured and unable to continue. He then withdraws deeper into the forest. Along with Col. Sam Trautman, Rambo's former commanding officer and mentor, the Washington State Patrol and Washington National Guard are sent to help Teasle. Teasle rejects Trautman's advice that Rambo will move on and be able to be arrested anywhere without any problems if he stops. Rambo refuses to surrender when Trautman tries to reach him via radio, accusing Teasle and his deputies of abusing him and saying that they "drew first blood." A National Guard unit encircles Rambo at the entrance to an abandoned mine. Rambo appears to be killed when the guardsmen fire a rocket launcher, destroying the mine entrance, despite Teasle's orders to wait for him. Teasle yells at the guardsman for defying his commands and insists that their commander, Clinton Morgan, unearth Rambo's remains. Rambo, on the other hand, escapes the mine via a ventilation shaft, takes control of a military truck that is loaded with ammunition and an M60 machine gun, and then returns to Hope to exact revenge by causing as much damage as he can. Rambo shoots the sheriff's station, blows up a gas station, destroys a sporting goods store, and cuts off power to most of the town in an attempt to divert the attention of the authorities. Knowing that Teasle is outmatched, Trautman makes another attempt to persuade her to leave Rambo. Perceiving Rambo's outburst as a personal assault, Teasle disobeys Trautman's orders once more and attempts to pursue Rambo on the station's roof. However, Rambo is able to shoot Teasle and cause injuries during a gunfight. Rambo is about to kill Teasle when Trautman shows up and reminds him that he is the last member of his group and threatens to kill him unless he surrenders. Rambo rants about the atrocities of war and his horrific experiences, such as witnessing his friends die in Vietnam, receiving bad treatment upon his return, losing his job, and being forgotten in spite of his sacrifices. Rambo sobs as he describes how a Viet Cong child soldier used a shoeshine box wired with explosives to kill a close friend. Teasle is taken to a waiting ambulance for hospital transport, while Rambo surrenders and is taken into federal custody after being consoled by a visibly distressed Trautman.

When libidinous but not-very-smart attorney Ned Racine begins an affair with Matty Walker, the young wife of a tycoon, their desire to be together leads to thoughts of murder.

John Deakin is being transported, as a prisoner, on a train with supplies and medicine to Fort Humboldt, Nevada, so he can help aid the remote garrison of Fort Humboldt. After a sudden outbreak of diphtheria, the authorities dispatch an express train carrying reinforcement soldiers and medical supplies through the frozen West across the Rocky Mountains to aid the remote garrison of Fort Humboldt. Along with the troops, there are also aboard Governor Richard Fairchild; the outpost commander's daughter, Marica; the squad's captain, Major Claremont; the U.S. Marshal, Pearce, and his mysterious prisoner, John Deakin. Indeed, this was supposed to be a routine operation; however, before long, in this confined but well-guarded place, missing officers and unexplained deaths start to shroud the mission with mystery and suspicion, as an unstoppable unknown killer is picking them off one by one. Who is the murderer in their midst? —Nick Riganas When a military outpost is struck with a severe outbreak of diphtheria, the authorities send a train loaded with medical supplies and replacement soldiers. As the train is on its way however, a passenger is murdered. And then two passengers; then the entire human cargo of several cars. A skilled flyer but very rebellious young seagull is kicked out of his clan. However, instead of being sad or lonely, he decides to enjoy and explore his newfound freedom. Jonathan is sick and tired of the boring life in his sea-gull clan. He rather experiments with new, always more daring flying techniques. Since he doesn't fit in, the elders expel him from the clan.
