Raghu (Sidharth Malhotra) is a loyal goon to the local thug Narayan Anna (Nassar) who controls the water mafia in Mumbai. Gaitonde is a rival water supplier to Mumbai and Anna deploys Raghu to Gaitonde's son in retaliation for encroachment on his territory. Anna considers Raghu as his own son. Anna had rescued Raghu from a sewer and had given him a new life. As such, Raghu has never dis-respected Anna's command. His father's dependence on Raghu doesn't sit well with Vishnu (Riteish Deshmukh), whose complexes arise from more than just his short stature, as he is only three feet tall. Raghu's friends are Gopi (Uday Nene) & Shafi (Godaan Kumar). Due to Anna's power even ACP Yadav (Ravi Kishan) is unable to arrest him as Anna controls the water supply to the entire Mumbai town. Anna threatens to stop the water supply to the whole city if he is arrested. Ravi wants Raghu to testify against Anna, but he refuses. Aarzoo (Rakul Preet Singh) is a bar dancer that Raghu and his friends visit. Aarzoo has a crush on Raghu. Payal (Alina Kazi) is Aarzoo's sister and is a school going girl. When Raghu falls for Zoya (Tara Sutaria), a mute musically inclined Kashmiri girl who teaches children music, Vishnu jumps at the opportunity to use it to discredit his father's most favorite goon. Zoya is forming a group of singers to participate in the Kashmir music festival and enrolls Payal as one of her students. Raghu melts in front of the kind heart of Zoya. Zoya makes him realize that music is all around him, and for a moment he forgets his life of violence and strife. Raghu and Zoya communicate via sign language. Gaitonde attacks Raghu while he was with Zoya, and in the shootout, Payal is hit by a bullet. Raghu shoots Gaitonde in the shoulder and forces him to retreat. Ravi realizes that Zoya can change Raghu as this was the first time that Raghu saved somebody in his life. Aarzoo is devastated to see Zoya with Raghu. Vishnu goes to harass Zoya' and her students. Vishnu threatens to put Payal on auction at the brothel. Raghu stands up to Vishnu & beats his goons. Raghu's friend Mazhar (Shaad Randhawa) beats Vishnu up and kicks him, when Vishnu raises a gun to shoot Raghu. This creates a rift between friends and Shafi leaves the group after having a fight with Raghu over Zoya. Vishnu kidnaps Gaitonde (Anant Jog) (one of his father's enemies) and tells a kid Zoya had selected for her music festival to shoot him. Eventually, Vishnu shoots Gaitonde and his family dead. Zoya sees this and flees but Vishnu is already alerted of her presence. Vishnu tells his father that there was an eyewitness so Anna orders Raghu to kill Zoya, not knowing that Raghu loves her. Meanwhile, Zoya messages Ravi and asks him to come and save her from Vishnu. Raghu finds Zoya and tries to run away from Vishnu and his father, but Vishnu catches them and tells Raghu, that he, Zoya, all the kids (including Payal) will be killed. Anna intervenes and tells Raghu he and the kids will be safe if he kills only Zoya, as she is the eyewitness to Gaitonde's murder. Zoya tells Raghu to kill her so that he and the kids remain safe. Raghu shoots, and Zoya dies in his arms. Anna tells Vishnu that he can attack Raghu, only when he tries to harm him, and not before. Ravi arrests a traumatized Raghu for Zoya's murder. In jail, Raghu becomes depressed and broken. Vishnu tries to get Raghu killed in jail, knowing if he is released, he will take revenge. However, Raghu beats up the goons Vishnu hired. Vishnu then cuts off Raghu's friend Mazhar's (Shaad Randhawa) leg because Mazhar had kicked him previously. 6 months later Anna tells Vishnu that Raghu will be sentenced to life. Vishnu helps Raghu get out by bribing the proofs because he wants to kill Raghu with his own hands. Before Raghu is released from prison Anna visits him in jail and tells him not to harm Vishnu till Anna is alive. When Raghu is released, Vishnu sees that Raghu is not the same after Zoya's death. Anna tells him that Raghu died the day he killed Zoya. Vishnu tries various ways to bring Raghu back to his old ways but fails (despite every possible provocation Raghu will not attack Vishnu & Anna forbids Vishnu to kill Raghu till he attacks). Vishnu gives the revolver Raghu used to kill Zoya in his hands, he auctions off one of Zoya's favorite students Payal (Alina Kazi) at the brothel, he makes Raghu sell Zoya's mouth-organ, all to no avail. Raghu simply walks away from it all. Vishnu's father catches him and warns him against this, but Vishnu angrily kills his father and sends goons to kill Raghu. Raghu finds out that Anna is dead & thus now Raghu is free from his promise. However, Raghu kills them all and buries them. He visits Zoya's grave and vows revenge on Vishnu; he is joined by his friends in this mission. On the day of Dussehra, when Vishnu comes to burn Ravana's idol, Raghu arrives and starts beating all the goons. Vishnu pierces an arrow into Raghu's heart, but Raghu burns him. While dying, Raghu sees Zoya's soul and dies peacefully, surrounded by friends and family. The police arrive and the inspector tells the ACP that Raghu died. The ACP replies that Raghu returned to his life, which was with Zoya.

Bangkok-based underworld Don, Carlos (Jackie Shroff) is expecting a shipment of diamonds from Mumbai. His men are afraid that cop Namdev Mane (Suniel Shetty) might intercept the diamonds, which will bankrupt Carlos. Sania Badnaam (Celina Jaitly) is Carlos's girlfriend and is smuggling the diamonds out of India for him. Carlos instructs Sania to transfer the diamonds to Mumbai by train. The call is intercepted by Namdev. 4 years ago, Namdev led a raid on suspected Brown sugar warehouse in Mumbai, but it turned out to be a consignment of bras. Namdev was demoted and his reputation was ruined. 6 Alvares House in Bandra, Mumbai, is the residence of myopic, widowed, devout Hindu, Satyabol Shastri (Anupam Kher), who lives there with his daughter, Shivani (Riya Sen) (who is a simple girl from a Brahmin family). Shivani is in love with her Christian neighbor, Arjun Fernandes (Shreyas Talpade), who is a mechanic and lives with his Wanna-be singer sister, Julie (Koena Mitra) (a bar dancer with quite a reputation, but behind her raunchy exterior is a compassionate, kind woman who goes out of her way to help the needy), and a younger ailing sister, Titli (who has a hole in her heart which can only be fixed by an expensive surgery). Satyabol disapproves of Arjun and wants his daughter to marry Sarju Maharaj Banaraswale's (Sanjay Mishra) son. Satyabol has not seen Sarju or his son, and this match has been arranged by the local priest, who is a friend of Satyabol. Other than Satyabol chasing Badshah, the pet dog of Arjun, and ending up in the women's bathroom, the area is fairly peaceful. Then Arjun and his friends try to think of a plan to stop Sarju from marrying his son to Shivani but can't. So, Arjun calls his best friend Kishan (Ritesh Deshmukh) to help them. Kishan is a conman in Goa who has duped many Gurkhas led by Rana Jang Bahadur (Chunky Pandey), by getting them to invest in his scam chit fund. Rana has vowed to pursue Kishan and get the money back to the poor Gurkhas. Kishan escapes by train and it is the same train in which Sania is bringing the diamonds to Mumbai. On the train Kishan by chance runs into Sarju Maharaj, whom he remembers as the guy who is coming to meet Satyabol daughter for a possible marriage with his son. Kishan convinces Sarju to get down from the train to get water. He also encourages Sarju to say that he is "Kishan's" uncle, as he had seen Rana on the platform. Sarju gets down and is apprehended by Rana, who wants his revenge against Kishan. Kishan comes disguised as Sarju Maharaj Banaraswale. On the train Sania sees Namdev pursuing her. She has the diamonds hidden in the sole of her sandals and puts the same in Kishan's bag. Namdev arrests Sania, even though he can't find the Diamonds in her luggage. Sania is released from custody, but Namdev abducts her illegally. Carlos gets info that Sania has been abducted and suspects Sania of double crossing her. Namdev wants Sania to help him get the diamonds and offers her a 50% cut as well. Sania takes the offer. Meanwhile, Kishan (as Sarju) gifts the sandals that he finds in Sarju's luggage to Shivani. Fake Sarju then convinces Satyabol that his (Sarju's) son is not good for his (Shashtri's) daughter by dancing in the bar and kissing Julie who was in the act. Then Shashtri informs the fake Sarju that he does not want to marry his daughter to Sarju's son and that he can go now. So having finished his mission, Kishan prepares to leave when Arjun tells him to stay back as he loves Julie, but Kishan refuses to say that he is not destined for Julie. Then after Arjun leaves and Rana turns up with the real Sarju at the railway station and identifies Kishan. Kishan says that all the cash is with Sarju they leave Kishan and run after Sarju while Kishan escapes. Kishan disguises himself as a woman named Sunaina and says 'she' is Arjun's auntie. Soon, Shastri falls in love with Sunaina, and calls her "Sania". Sunaina distracts Shastri and allows Shivani to meet Arjun in private. Meanwhile Kishan uses the opportunity to get close to Julie and makes her fall in love with him. Sunaina's sandal breaks and Shastri gifts her the sandals that Kishan (as Sarju) had gifted to Shivani. Then in the neighborhood also comes Matha Prasad (Rajpal Yadav) who runs a dairy farm and moonlights as the hit-man of Carlos. Matha hears Shastri refer to Sunaina as "Sania" and abducts her, as per instructions from Carlos. Then Rana arrives, followed by Namdev and Sania. Namdev arrests Rana and asks him to take them to Sarju (Since Sania said the bag is with Sarju). When they get there, Sania says that that's not the Sarju, who has the diamonds. Namdev and Sania figure out that Kishan is the fake Sarju and go after him. Rana figures out that Kishan has Rs 50 Crores worth of diamonds. He steals Sania's phone and calls Carlos directly. Rana says he has Sania in his custody. Matha and Rana both ask Carlos for Rs 50 Lakhs in exchange for returning Sania. Meanwhile Kishan escapes from Matha and reaches back where Arjun and Shastri have found the Sarju's bag. But Maane arrives with Sania and takes the bag at gunpoint. Kishan/Sunaina reveals that the bag had 50 Crores worth of diamonds. Now Sania and Namdev realize that the bag is empty, but Rana arrives and abducts Sania. Arjun tells Shivani that Sunaina is in fact Kishan. Meanwhile Shastri agrees to marry Shivani to Arjun if Sunaina agrees to marry him. Namdev tracks down Kishan and they all figure out that the diamonds are hidden in the sandals on Kishan's feet. Rana takes Sania to Carlos, who says that the diamonds are with Kishan. Carlos attacks the Bandra location with full force. Carlos forces Kishan to have over the sandal to him, but chaos ensues as Kishan throws the sandal as Carlos and everybody leaps at it. Carlos is eventually arrested by the police. Kishan reveals that he had stolen 1 diamond before handing over the sandal. The gang sells the diamond to pay for Titl's surgery.

When a womanizer is accidentally struck dead by one of his many girlfriends, he is given a second chance - he is reincarnated as a WOMAN. This isn't a second chance, this is a punishment! Wealthy Gujarati-speaking Sanjay Patel is a self-styled Indian Casanova, who believes in dating and flirting with a wide assortment of young women, and breaking their hearts. He works as an Executive in an Advertisement Firm and is very friendly with a male co-worker, Shekhar, who is exactly Sanjay's opposite when it comes to females. Sanjay flirtatious actions land him in trouble with three women, Loveleen Kapoor, Seema and Rita, he is attacked and is killed. He appears before Bhagwan Shivji and Devi Maa Parvati and he pleads with them to let him return, he is asked to mend his ways before the next Shivratri, and is permitted to return. The next day Sanjay treats this as a bad dream and sets about his usual way. This does not auger well with Parvati and she recommends to Shivji that Sanjay's gender be changed to female in order to enable him to understand and appreciate the fairer sex. The transformation takes place and Sanjay, much to his horror, is transformed to a female. He sets about his normal lifestyle, but finds obstacles everywhere. He confides in Loveleen and Shekhar about his real identity, tells everyone that he is Sanjay's sister, re-names himself Sanjana, and let her take over his job and life - albeit hilariously. He is asked to secure a 3.5 Crore deal with Prakash Malhotra, who is all set to seduce her/him. Then the inevitable happens when alcohol-induced Shekhar and Sanjana get intimate, with Sanjana getting pregnant. Even while Sanjana is attempting to adjust his/her life to this challenge, the Police find the body of a dead male, identify it as that of Sanjay's, and arrest Sanjana for his death.
