Bodyguard is a remake of the Malayalam film directed by Siddiqui. It was remade in Tamil, Hindi and now in Telugu. The film is directed by Gopichand Malineni and stars Venkatesh and Trisha.

Ramu goes to his hometown to sell his ancestral land and ends up falling for a young woman named Aparna, unaware that her parents have a reason to want him dead.

Raj and Kajal lives are shattered when a man with supernatural ability predicts that Kajal will die. Born in Patiala, widower Fakirchand Kapoor lives a poor lifestyle with two daughters, the younger of which is Kajal, and collects recyclables and antiques (Bhangar) for a living. Both arrange for a formal engagement on Kajal's birthday. Major Ram is one of the soldiers from the Indian army who is involve in the war between India and Pakistan; when he is abducted and held as hostage by the Pakistani army the Indian government are unable to compromise due to the fear of Ram losing his life. So Ram's younger brother, Arjun alias Sunny decides to change his name to Salman and illegally enter Pakistan with the intention of freeing his brother.
