In the film, Peter's feud with Mr. McGregor escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door.

In rural New Zealand, child services worker Paula and police officer Andy bring 13-year-old Ricky, a Maori orphan, in a police car to Bella's farm. Bella is so happy to meet her new foster son. Paula explains, as the audience sees brief flashbacks, all the trouble Ricky has gotten into and advises Bella that Ricky will be a challenge. Bella is not bothered and she calls herself his aunt. Ricky is reluctant and even returns to the police car. But Bella has given Ricky a nice room with books, since he likes to read. Ricky is also quite familiar with movies and music and seems to like the Internet. Hec, who is 65 years old and looks like Sean Connery, returns from hunting with dog Zag, carrying a large pig. He is not as pleased as wife Bella about the new addition to the family, but "Uncle", as Ricky will call him, grudgingly accepts his situation. After he is supposed to be in bed, Ricky takes a flashlight and wanders off. It appears he has traveled a long way, but Bella finds him sleeping a mere 200 yards from home. Breakfast is ready. Ricky wonders what to do, so he is given chores. Bella teaches him about customs she follows and talks about what she believes will happen when she dies. Hec takes Ricky hunting but, while he seemed to enjoy creating poetry about disgusting and morbid topics, Ricky is squeamish when an animal is actually killed. Ricky celebrates a birthday, which he has never done. There is a cake, and he gets his own dog who he names Tupac, after the rapper. One day Ricky goes off by himself only to return and see Hec crying. After a service at the church, Ricky and Hec are back home. Child Services has sent a notice that Ricky's situation will be evaluated. Heck says they expect a woman, and Ricky wonders why they can't just find another one. Hec says it doesn't work that way, and he says it was Bella, not him, who wanted a child. Feeling rejected, Ricky writes a suicide note, sets a barn on fire, and runs away with Tupac. He is determined to live on his own in the bush rather than go back to "juvie". However, Hec finds him while hunting with Zag. Ricky had indicated he wanted to live in the bush and Hec has already said Ricky wouldn't make it. In fact, Ricky can't live without toilet paper. But when Hec falls and hurts his leg, they will have to cope without modern conveniences for a while. Also, Ricky is shocked to learn Hec doesn't know how to read. Paula and Andy visit the farm and find the note and the barn burned, but Paula is not convinced Ricky is dead, and she believes a grieving Hec might have done something desperate. She is determined to find the boy, and a search begins. Ricky helps Hec but isn't very good at hunting. However, Hec has eel to eat. Once Hec is able to walk using a makeshift crutch, he and Ricky start walking. Hec isn't interested in returning to the farm because that was Bella's and he wasn't good at farming. He also reveals he too spent time in prison for a mistake when he was a lot younger. Soon, Hec and Ricky find a shelter and they go inside to see what food and supplies they can find. On the wall is a newspaper article with their pictures and ages. They are celebrities because their story has become big news. Three hunters return and they recognize Hec and Ricky. However, it is believed Hec may have kidnapped Ricky and may be dangerous. Ricky doesn't help matters when he describes their relationship in a way that makes Hec sound like a pedophile. Hec gets in a fight with the hunters. Ricky fires his gun, and the hunters give up their weapons and let Hec and Ricky go. Hec is moving a lot faster now. While they are in the wilderness, Hec and Ricky see a bird that was believed extinct. If they can provide proof they will be famous, but they don't have a camera. Also, because Ricky has compared their trek to that of the African wildebeest, Ricky decides he and Hec are Wilderpeople. Numerous people in uniform have joined the search for Hec and Ricky. They question the hunters. Hec and Ricky find another shelter, and a man who appears to be dead. He is not, however, so Hec agrees to stay with the man, a ranger who is diabetic, until help arrives. Ricky goes for help. Ricky sees Kahu, a beautiful girl, on a horse. She recognizes him and takes him back to her house. At first she claims her parents are deceased but then admits she was kidding. Her mother works for a resort, and her father comes back soon. Ricky tells his story. His mother abandoned him and he doesn't know anything about his father. Where he lived, there was a girl Amber who died after being placed with a family. Ricky doesn't want to end up back in "juvie". After Kahu performs a song she wrote, Ricky falls asleep and is worried when he wakes up because he wasn't supposed to be gone that long. Kahu takes him back to where the man was found. The people searching for him are there, and Hec is gone, so Ricky takes off. Paula and Andy find Ricky but can't capture him because of a large ditch between them. Paula wants Ricky to admit Hec mistreated him but he won't. Hec and Ricky reunite and are on the run again. During their time in the bush, they encounter a pig who the dogs try to attack. Tupac survives but Zag does not. Hec and Ricky make a pile of rocks with the word "Zag". Also, they have been gone for so long that it is now winter, and it snows. At a lake, Ricky dumps Bella's ashes, which Hec didn't realize he brought. Bella had indicated she would go to a lake in the sky, and Ricky believes this was the place she would want to be. Hec and Ricky are reunited with the hunters, but they aren't any nicer, so Hec and Ricky just steal from them. One day Hec and Ricky see a moving bush. It turns out to be a crazy man named Sam who has lived in a trailer for 15 years and believes in wild conspiracy theories. He puts metal hats on Hec and Ricky so the government can't read their minds. Hec and Ricky stay the night but need a way to leave. Sam has a pickup truck and Ricky figures out how to start it. The uniformed men are close, so Ricky starts driving fast and recklessly. The chase includes the army after they arrive in a desert which is used for training. Eventually, Ricky crashes the truck through a fence and wrecks in a junkyard. There is no way to get away, so Hec wants to give up. Ricky continues to resist, accidentally shooting Hec, but both are eventually taken away. In a courtroom, a decision is made about what will happen to Ricky. Hec is later shown in what looks like a large European stone fortress, and then in a halfway house after he did his time. He is learning to read. Ricky comes to visit, and Kahu and her father are nearby. Ricky and Hec have a nice conversation. Hec agrees to come live with Kahu's family and they eventually go off to search the bush for that bird.

The film stars Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is directed by Mikael Hafstrom. The story of the film surrounds a structural-security authority who designs a prison and later gets framed for an unknown reason. It is this quest that is to be resolved. Ray Breslin is the world`s foremost authority on structural security. After analyzing every high security prison and learning a vast array of survival skills so he can design escape-proof prisons his skills are put to the test. He`s framed and incarcerated in a master prison he designed himself. He needs to escape and find the person who put him behind bars.

Peter Colt (Paul Bettany), an English professional Tennis Player in his thirties (he is 32 years old) whose ranking has slipped from 11th to 119th in the world, considers he never really had to fight for anything. His wealthy but not close family (including brother Carl (James McAvoy), father Edward (Bernard Hill) and mother Augusta (Eleanor Bron)) easily put him through studies and allowed him to pursue his Tennis ambitions. Peter bravely exchanges jokes with his German sparring partner Dieter Prohl (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who is in a similar position. For a tennis player, winning a Grand Slam title is the pinnacle of their sporting career. Though, he earns a wild-card spot to the Wimbledon tournament, but internally feels that it's time to admit he's getting too old to compete with fitter coming men (or boys) and intends, after this last Wimbledon, to take a job with the prestigious tennis club instead. The job offered to him by club manager Ian Frazier (Robert Lindsay). However, as Wimbledon begins, by accident, he bumps into Lizzie Bradbury (Kirsten Dunst), the American rising star of female tennis, falls in love with her and finds her interest in him changes his entire perception, even gives him the strength to win again. Peter finds that his game gets better as he spends more time with Lizzie. Meanwhile, Lizzie comes with a reputation of arguing with the chair umpires as a tactic to disrupt the game. Lizzie invites Peter up to her room, and they have sex as Lizzie believes that this can help one relax and help with their game. After an unexpected win in the first round, Peter is about to lose his second match (against an opponent who had won the French Open previously) but turns it around when he hears Lizzie cheering for him in the crowd. In his third match, he unexpectedly comes up against his training partner and best friend, Dieter Prohl. Peter beats Dieter, who comments that Peter has developed a 'killer instinct', the ability to win the match no matter the cost or the method. Peter's unexpected success makes him a sensation in Britain, as many place their hopes on either him or his next competitor, Tom Cavendish, to deliver a British win at Wimbledon. Meanwhile, Carl had been betting against Peter on every match and kept losing. Carl is mystified as Peter has always come through for him previously. Ron (Jon Favreau) is Peter's agent who asks him to capitalize on his fame before his next match with Tom. As their love grows, Peter's game becomes better and better, but her game starts worsening as she spends too much time with Peter, ignoring her practice and tiredness. However, her overprotective father-manager Dennis Bradbury (Sam Neill) proves determined to nip their relationship in the bud, believing it detrimental to her career. At a reception for the Wimbledon players at the London Eye, Lizzie is approached by an old flame, arrogant American star and world number 1 Jake Hammond. Hammond deduces that Peter and Lizzie are seeing each other when Peter defends her. When Hammond insults Lizzie, Peter punches him and the couple run away to Peter's flat in Brighton. They spend the entire day together and their picture was taken by Carl, who sold it to the media to make good on his betting losses and to put more against Peter in his upcoming game. That next day, Dennis comes to Peter's apartment and yells at him for spoiling his daughter's game. She overhears this and decides to leave him. Lizzie says that they can be together after the tournament. Both of them play several games with different opponents and win. Peter faces off against Tom Cavendish and beats him when Cavendish sprains his ankle, demonstrating his ability to go all the way. But without Lizzie's support, Peter's confidence and concentration start to shake. Lizzie enters into semi-final while Peter also manages to reach semi-final but with difficulty. The night before their semi-final games, Peter sneaks into Lizzie's hotel room and persuades her to have sex. Initially, she denies as she requires more rest and sleep for her semi-final game next morning, but later on agrees to. Next day, he performs quite well and wins his semi-final match in straight sets, whilst Lizzie loses her match due to tiredness for lack of sleep and losing her focus after last night together with Peter. Lizzie gets upset and breaks their relation while accusing his madness and last night greed for sex as cause for loss of her match, her dreams and perhaps her career too. She leaves before he can say or explain anything and decides to immediately return to USA. Peter has to play the final match against Jake Hammond (Austin Nichols), an arrogant American star who Peter has already had an argument with involving Lizzie but finds himself out classed. At the airport, Lizzie watches an interview on TV in which Peter apologizes to her and declares his love for her openly. She drops her idea to go home and comes back to Wimbledon. Before Lizzie reaches the stadium, Peter has already lost two sets and is running behind in the third one due to the fast and forceful tricky serves by Jake. He has lost all of his focus due to breakup with Lizzie. Before the game is interrupted by rain, his back muscles get stressed, and he has started thinking about quitting the game rather than face a sure defeat. Suddenly, Lizzie comes to him in the dressing room and tells him that she has forgiven him and prepares him to play and face the fate rather than quit. She tells him the secret about Jake's tricky serves. With Lizzie cheering him on, Peter makes a recovery in the game and wins the title (3-6, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 {7-5}, 6-4) with a diving volley. After the game he retires. He and Lizzie get married, and with his support, Lizzie goes on to win the U.S. Open and Wimbledon twice, ultimately achieving her dreams. In the last scene, Peter is with their youngest child, a boy, watching Lizzie and their eldest child, a girl, playing tennis together on a neighborhood court in New York City.

Paleontologist Dr. Grant agrees to give a wealthy couple a tour of Isla Sorna, overrun by dinosaurs, in exchange for research funds, but they turn out to have ulterior motives.

Ben Hildebrand (Mark Harelik) and Eric Kirby (Trevor Morgan) go parasailing over the waters near Isla Sorna, 207 miles west of Costa Rica. The boat's crew disappears, and the top of the boat is destroyed, prompting Ben to detach the line before the boat crashes. He and Eric drift towards the island. Eight weeks later, paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) has made a new discovery about the intelligence of Velociraptors but struggles to secure funding for his research. Grant discusses his discovery of a resonating larynx on fossilized raptor remains with his longtime colleague Ellie (Laura Dern). Ellie is now married with a husband Mark and 2 kids. Mark (Taylor Nichols) works for the state department, specializing in international treaty law. Grant says that the larynx of the raptors was a tremendous evolutionary advantage. This, and his experience at Jurassic Park, leads him to believe that the original Velociraptors were socially sophisticated, and smarter than dolphins, whales and even primates. They were able to hunt in numbers and coordinate their attacks. He hypothesizes that if they had not gone extinct and continued to evolve, their descendants-rather than humans-would have become Earth's dominant species. At a symposium, Grant declares that all John Hammond and Ingen did at Jurassic Park was to create genetically engineered theme park monsters. He says that he has no intention of visiting Isla Sorna. His assistant Billy Brennan (Alessandro Nivola) uses a 3D printer to replicate the Velociraptor larynx. Grant laments that he would have to wrap up his field research in 4 weeks if additional funding is not approved. Paul (William H. Macy) and Amanda Kirby (Téa Leoni), posing as a wealthy couple, offer funding for Grant's research if he will give them an aerial tour of Isla Sorna, claiming they have permission to fly over the island. The Kirbys say that they are adventurers and have been to the Nile, the K2 and the Galapagos. They even claim to have 2 seats on the first commercial flight to the moon. Paul offers a big check to Grant to help him to agree. Grant reluctantly agrees and flies there with Paul, Amanda, Billy, and the Kirbys' mercenary associates Udesky (Michael Jeter), Cooper (John Diehl), and their pilot Nash (Bruce A. Young). During the flight, Grant learns that the Kirbys plan to land on the island; he protests but Cooper knocks him unconscious. Grant awakens to discover that they have landed. Grant is adamant that the island is not safe, even as Amanda calls out for Eric using a loudspeaker. A Spinosaurus approaches the group, who board the plane to escape, leaving Cooper behind as he tries to reach the plane. The Spinosaurus emerges on the runway and devours Cooper. In avoiding the Spinosaurus, the plane clips the dinosaur and crashes into the forest. The Spinosaurus destroys the plane and consumes Nash, who had possession of Paul's satellite phone. Fleeing, the survivors briefly lose the Spinosaurus but encounter a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The Spinosaurus returns and the group escapes while the two dinosaurs engage in a battle, with the Spinosaurus killing the Tyrannosaurus. Grant furiously confronts the Kirbys, and learns that the Kirbys are a middle-class, divorced couple who are looking for their son Eric and Amanda's boyfriend Ben, who went missing on the island. Government agencies declined to help the Kirbys, so they brought Grant along as an expert because of his past experience at Jurassic Park. To their dismay however, Grant explains his previous visit was to Isla Nublar, not Isla Sorna, and as such is just as lost as they are. The group searches for Eric and Ben as they travel to the coast. They find Ben's corpse attached to the para-sail, which Billy takes. They also stumble upon Velociraptor nests, and Billy secretly steals two eggs in his bag. The group find an abandoned InGen compound. A raptor chases them and summons the rest of its pack. The humans flee into a herd of Corythosaurus and Parasaurolophus, causing a stampede, and separating Grant and Udesky from the others. The raptors attack Udesky in an attempt to lure the others out of a tree and almost succeed in attacking Amanda when she tries to descend to help him. The raptors' trap fails, and they kill Udesky before departing. Elsewhere, Grant observes the pack communicating and suspects that they are searching for something; as he tries to slip away, they ambush him. Eric appears, dispersing the attack with tear gas, before taking Grant to an overturned supply truck where he has been taking shelter. The next day, Grant and Eric are reunited with Billy and the Kirbys. The group is then chased by the Spinosaurus but manage to lock it out by entering an abandoned observatory. Grant finds the Velociraptor eggs in Billy's bag, which provoked the earlier attacks. Billy hoped to sell the eggs to fund their dig site. Grant disapproves of this idea, but keeps the eggs regardless, hoping the Velociraptors may spare the group if they are returned. The group unknowingly enters a large aviary used to house Pteranodons, which attack the group and fly away with Eric. Billy rescues Eric using Ben's para-sail but is then attacked and seemingly killed by the Pteranodons. The rest of the group escapes the aviary, unknowingly leaving the door unlocked. They find a boat and make their way down a river. That night, the group retrieves the ringing satellite phone from the feces of the Spinosaurus. Grant contacts Ellie and tells her where they are but the Spinosaurus attacks the boat. Grant ignites the boat's fuel, causing the Spinosaurus to flee. The next morning, the group makes its way towards the coast but are surrounded by the raptors. They surrender the eggs to the raptors while Grant uses the replica raptor larynx to confuse the pack, which runs off with the eggs. The group reach the coast and see that Ellie had called in the Marine Corps and the Navy to rescue them. They discover that Billy, while seriously injured, has also been rescued. As they leave the island, they see the Pteranodons fly by.

The NDR series robot "Andrew" (Robin Williams) is introduced into the Martin family home in April 2005 to perform housekeeping and maintenance duties. Unfortunately, the elder daughter of the family doesn't accept him, and orders him to jump out the window - injuring his mechanisms severely. The father of the household, Richard Martin, holds a family meeting and stipulates that Andrew is to be treated as a human being, and as a member of the family, rather than a household appliance. They then slowly grow to accept Andrew as a functional member of their family unit. But when Andrew accidentally breaks a glass figurine belonging to "Little Miss" Amanda Martin, to whom he is devoted, he carves a similar figurine out of wood. The family is astonished by this sign of original creativity in a robot and Sir Richard Martin takes Andrew to his manufacturer, NorthAm Robotics, to inquire if all the robots are like him. The CEO of the company sees this development as a problem and wishes to scrap Andrew or, as he puts it, "fix him." Deeply angered, Martin takes Andrew home and allows him to pursue his own development: creating masterpiece clocks and other wood items. He also encourages Andrew to educate himself in the humanities and helps him to understand the concepts. When Andrew is damaged, Martin again takes him to NorthAm Robotics for repairs, but stipulates that if they attempt in any way to alter Andrew's Positronic brain, the company would be liable for the projected revenue Andrew's creativity would generate over his operational lifespan - a sum that would bankrupt the company (since his operational lifespan is essentially limitless). Andrew requests that while he is being repaired his face be altered to convey the emotions, he feels but cannot fully express; thus begins Andrew's outward transformation from robot to android. He is told this would cost an exorbitant amount of money, and prints of a check, to which Andrew replies that the sum is roughly one months of his salary. The CEO of NorthAm Robotics balks and mutters that the sum is "more than he makes in a year". "Sir" Richard is gleeful at this, and says it is quite a "good achievement for...what was it he called you last time we were here, Andrew?" "Household Appliance, Sir." "That's right. Household Appliance." After many years, Andrew has amassed enough money to need a legal adviser and bank account. Andrew eventually asks for his freedom, much to Richard's dismay. Deeply hurt, Mr. Martin grants his request, but banishes Andrew from the house so that he can be 'completely' free. In 2048, Andrew sees Richard Martin one last time, on his deathbed. Mr. Martin apologizes to Andrew for banishing him, telling him it was Andrew's right to have his freedom. Andrew sets out to find other NDR series robots and discover if they have also developed personalities of their own. He spends years searching but finds none functioning. Finally, he stumbles across Galatea, an NDR robot that has been given female attributes and is owned by Rupert Burns, son of the original NDR robot designer. Andrew is attracted to Galatea after seeing her dance, but soon discovers that her personality chip was activated. She becomes a source of great annoyance to Andrew: her personality was implanted by the manufacturers, whereas his developed independently of programming. As it turns out, her owner, Burns, has been working to create a more human looking robot on his own, but has been unable to attract funding for the project. Andrew Martin agrees to finance Burns' research and the two join forces to revolutionize robotics - in the course of which they also revolutionize the field of human prosthetic organs. Over the years, he maintains contact with Amanda, grown-up, married, divorced, and with children of her own - who resent Andrew's friendship with their mother. Eventually, Andrew becomes human enough to fall in love with Amanda's granddaughter, Portia, and she with him. Andrew Martin petitions the World Congress to recognize him as human, which would allow him and Portia to be legally married but is rejected on the grounds that so long as he is in effect immortal, he cannot be human. Over the course of the next 100 years, he proceeds to turn himself into a prosthetic human, thus allowing him to age. Andrew again attends the World Congress, now appearing old and frail. The Speaker of said Congress agrees to debate the issue and asks him why he wants this. He replies: "To be acknowledged for who and what I am; no more, no less. Not for acclaim, not for approval, but the simple truth of that recognition has been the elemental drive of my existence, and it must be achieved if I am to live or die with dignity." Andrew Martin is on his death bed, Portia beside him, when the Speaker of the World Congress finally announces on television the court's decision: that Andrew Martin is recognized as the oldest, non-biblical human being in history, aged 200 years old. The Speaker also finally validates the marriage between Portia and Andrew. Andrew dies while listening to the broadcast. Portia orders their nurse, Galatea, now recognizably human, to unplug her, i.e., shut down her life support machine. The movie ends with Portia about to die hand-in-hand with Andrew, as she whispers to him "See you soon."

This movie is based somewhat more authentically on the Grimm Brothers' story of a young woman who is unliked by her stepmother. When young Lillian's mother dies during childbirth, her father soon remarries the well-intentioned Lady Claudia. However, Claudia's heart is ruled not by her husband, but by an evil mirror with the power to make Claudia Queen over all living things - until they are dead. A failed attempt to murder young Lillian leaves her wandering lost in a deep dark forest where she comes across seven ruffian gold miners. The exiled royal doctor to King Charles II devotes himself to helping Londoners suffering from the plague, and in the process falls in love with an equally poor woman. An aspiring young doctor, Robert Merivel found himself in the service of King Charles II and saves the life of a spaniel dear to the King. Merivel joins the King's court and lives the high life provided to someone of his position. Merivel is ordered to marry one of the King's mistresses in order to divert the suspicions of another one of his mistresses. He is given one order by the king and that is not to fall in love. The situation worsens when Merivel finds himself in love with his new wife. Eventually, the King finds out and relieves Merivel of his position and wealth. His fall from grace leaves Merivel where he first started. With the baby sleeping in their tent, the family is enjoying a barbecue with their fellow campers when a cry is heard. Lindy returns to the tent to check on Azaria and is certain she sees a dingo with something in its mouth running off as she approaches. When she discovers the infant is missing, everyone joins forces to search for her, without success. It is assumed what Lindy saw was the animal carrying off the child, and a subsequent inquest rules her account of events is true. The tide of public opinion soon turns against the Chamberlains. For many, Lindy seems too stoic, too cold-hearted, and too accepting of the disaster that has befallen her. Gossip about her begins to swell and soon is accepted as statements of fact. The couple's beliefs are not widely practised in the country, and when the media reports a rumour that the name Azaria means "sacrifice in the wilderness" (when in fact it means "blessed of God"), the public is quick to believe they decapitated their baby with a pair of scissors as part of a bizarre religious rite. Law-enforcement officials find new witnesses, forensics experts, and a lot of circumstantial evidenceincluding a small wooden coffin Michael uses as a receptacle for his parishioners' packs of un-smoked cigarettesand reopen the investigation, and eventually Lindy is charged with murder. Seven months pregnant, she ignores her attorneys' advice to play on the jury's sympathy and appears emotionless on the stand, convincing onlookers she is guilty of the crime of which she is accused. As the trial progresses, Michael's faith in his religion and his belief in his wife disintegrate, and he stumbles through his testimony, suggesting he is concealing the truth. In October 1982, Lindy is found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labour, while Michael is found guilty as an accessory and given an 18-month suspended sentence. More than three years later, while searching for the body of an English tourist who fell from Uluru, police discover a small item of clothing that is identified as the jacket Lindy had insisted Azaria was wearing over her jumpsuit, which had been recovered early in the investigation. She immediately is released from prison, the case is reopened, and all convictions against Lindy and Michael are overturned.
