Ye Re Ye Re Paisa is a tale of mad and fun-filled misunderstandings, which revolves around the life of five individuals - Aditya, Sunny, Bubbly, Anna, and Janhavi. Each one of them is trying to reach the respective ends in their life personally and professionally, however, fate has other plans for them. They all get into a trouble. Will they be able to get out of it, forms the crux.

Dhudgus, meaning chaos, speaks of human greed and how people try to exploit and take advantage of situations. A young bride loses her soldier husband, and thereby is believed to have brought misfortune to the family. The in-laws and parents disown her, leaving her with nowhere to go. But when the government decides to award her compensation for the death of her husband, things suddenly change.

It is a story of four friends who chose shortcuts to achieve early success in life. Expected ten folds from life in return for no hard work, led them to only a disillusionment and despair. Further on, the youngsters fall prey to a fraud and encounter a huge financial loss. What they are left with is only sorrow and a bleak future facing them but their courage and determination fights back to help the young guns overcome the loss. This game, full of thrills, suspense and constant losses and victories, is Checkmate.

Siddharth Sardesai (Aftab Shivdasani), is a gifted young scientist from the Indian Medical Research center who wants to create another human being, not in a mother's womb but in a science lab as a clone. If he is successful it could be a boon for humanity else it could be a doom for mankind. Siddharth has been experimenting with cloning for the past two years and has been unsuccessful. But he is now confident of succeeding. He needs permission from the Indian Medical Research Center and his Guru and father figure Dr. Krishnan (Paresh Rawal). There are few people who don't approve of his experiment. Amongst them is Inspector Rathod. So Siddharth is shattered when Dr. Krishnan informs him that the permission to go ahead is not granted. Siddharth girlfriend, Aditi (Bipasha Basu) comforts him and suggests that she could speak to her father Mr. Chopra (Tinnu Anand) who is a big industrialist and could finance Siddharth's clone project to help him go ahead with his dream of creating a human clone. After careful thought and consideration, Siddharth agrees to take Aditi's help. He builds his own lab in an old burnt mill and starts his experiment. He first clones a mouse. Time is running out as Inspector Rathod (Rahul Dev) closes on to Siddharth's heels and ultimately Siddharth has to take a plunge and he begins to clone himself. He succeeds but his clone goes missing and all hell breaks loose when suddenly Siddharth is put behind bars for assaulting a girl at a Night Club. Siddharth realizes that it is his clone that is doing all this. But he is helpless, as no one believes him that he has cloned himself, not even Dr. Krishnan. The clone has other ideas. He wants to take over Siddharth's life and starts playing games. He flirts with Dr. Krishnan's daughter Suchitra who loves Siddharth (Preeti Jhangiani) and even impregnates her. To obtain Siddharth's project report, the clone kills Dr. Krishnan and the blame comes on Siddharth who is arrested. Inspector Rathod gets furious and promises Siddharth that he will not let him go out alive from jail. Siddharth is in a major dilemma to prove his innocence of the crime that his clone has committed and eventually his clone arrives in prison and sadistically taunts him over his current state. Eventually, Siddharth is able to convince Inspector Rathod to believe him and works with him to prove his innocence. Siddharth soon discovers that Aditi is responsible for the clone's evil personality and she deliberately helped Siddharth in order to destroy him. Aditi gave Siddharth finance to complete his project but gave the clone an evil personality so Siddharth's life would be ruined. Aditi reveals her reason behind this is because she holds Siddharth responsible for the death of her brother Sanjay. Sanjay was Siddharth's lab partner and dear friend who helped him develop the cloning process and his death lead to the death of Aditi's mother and the destruction of her family. A heartbroken Siddharth reveals that he only wished to honor Sanjay's memory by completing the clone project. Siddharth confesses to Aditi that Sanjay volunteered to do the cloning process first despite Siddharth's fears and died due to the process failing. A shocked and horrified Aditi realizes her grave mistake and urges Siddharth to escape before the police can arrest him. However, the clone appears and disobeys Aditit orders to stand and shoots her dead. The clone escapes and Siddharth and Inspector Rathod confront the clone at his base and learn that he intends to build a clone army and conquer the world. After a long and arduous battle, Siddharth and Inspector Rathod finally kill the clone and Siddharth destroys the clone's base to stop the clone army from escaping. In the end, Siddharth is cleared of all charges by the Indian court which forbids him to continue any further research in cloning. Siddharth also marries Suchitra and agrees to raise the clone baby with her to atone for his actions.

Brave Indian policeman Raj beats up, then arrests Muslim terrorist Khan. This gets him promoted, and he is congratulated by none other than his father-in-law, who is also a very high ranking policeman. Suddenly, Raj finds out that many policemen would like to see Khan go free. He consults his father-in-law and surprisedly finds no support from him. Disagreements and arguments ensue, and his father-in-law gets killed as a result. The Police suspect Raj of killing him, they begin the process of arresting him, and he runs away--while Khan is all set to get freed to do whatever he likes. —Calista Raj Shekhar Azad is a brave and honest cop idolized by wannabe cops all over India. He single-handedly nabs notorious terrorist Wasim Khan. Later he learns that some of his associates in police force are trying to get Wasim Khan out of prison. His investigations in terrorist activities point to millionaire Shankar Singhania. Azad confronts Singhania and the battle between good and evil begins. —Soumitra Raj (popular Indian leading man Sunny Deol) is an idealistic cop who who sets out to nab an extremist saboteur named Wasim Khan (Mukesh Rishi), only to discover that the terrorist's connections extend to a prominent local businessman (Danny Denzongpa) and even to the chief of police (Raj Babbar)--who happens to be Raj's father-in-law. —gavin@sunny_deol2009@yahoo.com DCP Rajshekhar Azad does the impossible by arresting the world-wide terrorist Wasim Khan and locks him in a special cell for interrogation. One by one he finds that the special chosen officers assigned to Wasim Khan cell are seriously beaten up, sustaining various injuries, and he suspects that Wasim is using his officers as a medium to send messages to his men to create mayhem among innocent people. Under these circumstances, Rajshekhar decides to create situations that will force forward the people who are hand-in-glove with Wasim, including multi-millionaire Shanker Singhania and his very own father-in-law, also the DGP Suryapratap Singh. Rajshekhar must now decides to go against his senior and lose his job or be a silent spectator and watch as innocent people continue to lose their lives. —gavin (racktoo@hotmail.com) DCP Rajshekhar Azad does the unthinkable: he daringly, single-handedly apprehends notorious terrorist Wasim Khan. While he receives natural praise and accolades, some within his own police force don't support or applaud this victory. One such person is Director General of Police Suryapratap Singh, who has a secret meeting with Rajshekhar, and asks him to go on sick leave, so that the Government of India can arrange Wasim's release. The fact that Suryapratap is also Rajshekhar's father-in-law adds more pressure on him to submit to his superior or make matters worse by disobeying him and creating a rift in his personal life.
