THE EMOJI MOVIE is the story of Gene, an emoji that lives inside a texting app on a teenager's smartphone. In Genes world, each emoji has only one expression, but Gene is different - he's bursting with multiple expressions. Gene is worried that if he can't find a way to be normal, he'll disappoint his family, or worse, be deleted. Determined to change his unusually expressive personality, Gene needs a code that will fix his programming and make him like everyone else. With the help of his emoji friends, Gene's search takes him on a fun-filled adventure across the teenager's smartphone, from his home in a texting app through a succession of apps (including a gaming app, a music streaming app, a photo-sharing app, a video streaming app, a dance app, and a file-sharing app). Along the way, Gene finds the code he needs but he also learns being different from everyone else makes him special. In the end, Gene decides not to change to fit in, but to express all his feelings without reservations and be true to himself.

HIT AND RUN is a comedy about a young couple (Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard) that risks it all when they leave their small town life and embark on a road trip that may lead them towards the opportunity of a lifetime. Their fast-paced road trip grows awkwardly complicated and hilarious when they are chased by a friend from the past (Bradley Cooper), a federal marshal (Tom Arnold) and a band of misfits.

Though it's been about twenty years since they have spoken with one another, two estranged soul-singing legends agree to participate in a reunion performance at the Apollo Theater to honor their recently deceased band leader. When R&B legend Marcus Hooks dies suddenly, VH-1 invites his original back up duo, Floyd Henderson and Louis Hinds, "The Real Deal," to appear at a memorial tribute at the Apollo Theater. Floyd, who's bored in retirement, wants this more than anything; Louis, a philosophical ex-con, does not. Plus, there's bad blood between them (Louis's wife Odetta left him to marry Floyd - then left Floyd). Floyd begs, Louis consents but won't fly, so they leave L.A. in Floyd's flashy Cadillac with five days to get to New York. Tad's agents came up with this contest to change Tad's bad-boy image and help his career in getting another big movie part. A date with the sweet and innocent Rosalee is just the ticket that Tad needs, when he falls in love with her. Tad moves to the small town so he can be near Rosalee, and this drives Tad's agents crazy. Rosalee's best friend, Pete (Topher Grace) finally tells Rosalee that he has loved her his whole life.
