Read more →Sid (Rahul Bose) plays a short, thirty something DJ, who finds himself playing music at Trisha's (Mallika Sherawat's) marriage to Vivek (Jas Arora) in Delhi. However, he witnesses her fight her sense of responsibility and duty towards her parents and the groom, and runs away. Narayanan "Nanu" Iyer (Ranvir Shorey) is Sid's best friend. Shalini (Tarana Raja) is Sid's sister, married to Kapil (Aamir Bashir). Shalini and Kapil have typical married couple fights over trivial matters and Sid is a witness to all that.. Nina Manuel (Sapna Bhavnani) was Nanu's girlfriend. She broke up with Nanu as he had a filthy habit of not taking baths or changing underwear for days. Now she is getting married to someone else. Nanu still loves Nina. Nanu runs a bar, as he always dreamed. Six months later, he meets her again at a DJ competition in Mumbai, which he has just lost, yet again. Before you know it, they're in a relationship (they start with some casual dating, where they end up making fun of each other. Sid is short and Trisha is a typical "delhi" girl) (They both think they wont last as a couple beyond a month), and three years have passed. Trisha thinks she is ready for marriage, and gets down on her knee to propose to Sid. Sid suffering from the typical commitment phobia, is at a loss for a reasonable answer. Nanu also tells Sid that Trisha is not going to abandon her training "investment" in Sid for the last 3 yrs. Sid's mother advises him to marry Trisha asap, as she is taller and at least the kids will be of good height. Anjali (Dracula) (Suchitra Pillai-Malik) is Trisha's friend who hates Sid. Sid tries to win the argument with Trisha, but she ends up crying. In a bid to not lose her, Sid finds himself engaged. But along with the engagement comes a new set of problems - such as shopping for furniture for their home, thinking about kids (and their names. Trisha is upset when Trisha thinks he is not ready to have kids) engagement rings (Shalini wanted Sid to buy an expensive ring, but Trisha had said that she will wear whatever Sid buys. So Sid buys a practical, cheaper engagement ring. This makes Trisha upset and she returns to the store to exchange the ring for an expensive one), and more importantly facing the father of the bride! The father Retd. Major Gen. Veera Bhadra Mallik (Sharat Saxena) has more than one problem with Sid. He doesn't have a future (as a DJ), he earns a lot less than Trisha, and he doesn't seem responsible enough. Sid spends the night at Major Mallik's house, sleeping on his sofa (with a plastic sheet on it).. The next morning Mallik wakes him up really early and takes him jogging. Mallik tries to talk Sid out of marrying Trisha and the same afternoon he takes everyone to meet Vivek (who has just returned from US and has become the youngest COO in all of AP).. at a game of golf, Mallik needles Sid to play and Sid doesn't hit the ball, and his club flies out of his hand and into Mallik car Over an altercation Sid has with Mr Mallik (Sid tells Trisha that her dad cant accept whats happening in her life and Mallik counters that Sid cant understand the role of a father as his own dad abandoned his family when he was a kid), the couple break up. Vivek, Trisha's ex-husband-to-be, is waiting in the wings, to help her broken heart mend. Sid on the other hand, finds himself being wooed by item girl, Tanya (Sophie Choudry), star of the 'Baby Girl vol. 3' video. Sid had run into Tanya at Nanu's bar where he was DJing. Tanya wants Sid to help her produce her next dance video. Tanya asks Sid to come up to her place for "coffee" and he refuses. Nanu is really angry at Sid for passing up on this chance. The next time Sid takes the invite and goes for coffee, but he gets psyched out and cant go through with it.. Shalini finds out and tells Sid that he has to be friends with Trisha, before he can have "coffee" with anyone else.. After a few amusing run-ins (Sid tries to figure out how much has Trisha shopped for (Rs 10500) to get over him), an attempt to be just-friends (Sid visits Trisha on her birthday only to find that Vivek has thrown a big party for her. Trisha tells Sid that she is marrying Vivek in a month) (Sid proposes a dinner between the 4 of them.. its a disaster as Tanya starts choking on her food and Vivek saves her life with the Heimlich maneuver), and a sad-song ("Jaane Kya" sung by Zubin), Sid, finally realizes, thanks to his mother, that his commitment phobia is the result of a childhood scar. His father abandoned Sid and his mother, when Sid was very young. His mother reassures him, that he is nothing like his father, and would make a great husband. Tanya tells Sid that he can never have coffee with anyone other than Trisha, as he is totally committed to her. But it's too late, Trisha has already agreed to marry Vivek. This leads him to Trisha's dear friend Anjali (Suchitra Pillai), who reminds him of Dracula because she always attacks him, for making Trisha unhappy. She helps him crash Trisha's wedding party (by smuggling him inside a big box furniture). The climax builds up, as Sid's job involves not just convincing Trisha that his hang-ups have abated, but also avoid a deadly confrontation with Trisha's father. Trisha wants Sid to make her run away from the wedding, but then she has to take charge as "Mumbai" boys are useless and cant even run away a bride from her wedding. This movie appears to be based on the Hollywood movie High Fidelity High Fidelity (film).

At the same time, Sonia begins to try to seduce Raj, who rejects her. Vikram notices Raj looking at Sonia and casually talks to him about wife swapping and Vicky casually suggests Raj to enjoy with Sonia and asks whether he (Vicky )could enjoy with Priya overnight , this upsets Raj and an argument breaks out between the two men. Raj takes Priya away from Mauritius. However, a couple of days later Vikram and Sonia also return, Raj & Vikram they resolve their issues and become friends again (Raj saves Vikram's life when a car falls on him when he was working under it for repairs). On Vikram's birthday, the two men celebrate by getting drunk together, sharing bottles of alcohol. Once again, Vikram asks whether he could become Raj for one night, which Raj rebuffs, but still, both men end up in opposite houses. The next day Raj wakes up to find a semi-naked woman in bed and realizes he is in Vicky's house. After talking to Priya about the events from last night, he imagines Vicky was able to seduce and convince Priya to go ahead with his wife swapping and making passionate love throughout the night (Although Priya never said anything to that effect, but her half sentences gave that impression). After some time, Sonia is found dead, and Raj is accused of her murder by Vikram saying that Raj spent the whole night with Sonia and additionally his fingerprints are found on the murder weapon - an alcohol bottle. Priya is shocked as she never did anything with Vikram. In jail, Vikram visits Raj and offers him 14 Lakh dollars if he admits to killing Sonia and takes the punishment of life imprisonment (14 yrs). In court Vikram says that Raj took him to the airport bar after leaving the wives at home. But neither had money, so Raj went back to bring his wallet, but instead went into Vikram's house to sexually assault Sonia. Sonia resisted and Raj killed her. However, one of Raj's neighbors is also in court and he remembers seeing that 2 men entered Vikram's house and not one. Raj alleges in court that he went into Vikram's house to warn Sonia about his errant behavior, but then passed out. Determined to prove his innocence, Raj manages to escape from the court and is chased by the Swiss police. He meets Priya, who eventually believes his innocence and aids him in finding out what really happened. Raj tells Priya that he never went to the airport bar with Vikram and wants to prove this. They meet their neighbor who tells Raj that Vikram left alone that night. But later that night 2 men returned to Vikram's house (when Raj was already inside). He decides to search Vikram's house, only to be interrupted by Vikram, who calls the police and then reveals that everything was planned in advance. Raj escapes in Vikram's car with Priya. Raj finds a boarding pass that belongs to Sonia Bajaj from her book in Vikram's car, which states that Sonia arrived in Zurich on 29 December - however, Sonia was supposedly murdered on that night. Raj suspects her to be the woman he saw with Vikram, traveling to Geneva together. In Geneva, Priya finds the address of the woman who bought the ticket to Zurich for the 29th Dec. At her house, Raj finds an insurance officer who is trying to find evidence that Vikram was involved in the death of his wife, in order to receive her life insurance payment of $100 million. Working with the insurance agent, Raj traces Vikram to a cruise ship. There, he sees Vikram dancing with a woman who is revealed to be 'Sonia', alive and well. Raj confronts Vikram, who finally explains the whole devious plan - the woman whom he kissed in Mauritius was his actual wife Sonia Bajaj (Mink Brar), while the woman with him that Priya and Raj were introduced to in Switzerland is his girlfriend Neeta. Vikram, a struggling musician, married the wealthy and glamorous Sonia and convinced her to take out an insurance plan of $100 million on herself. That night, Vikram went to the airport to pick up the real Sonia. He went to the bar to get a witness that he was there, and slipped out to take Sonia home. The neighbor saw Vikram and Soni entering Vikram's house. Vikram used Raj's champagne bottle to kill Sonia and disfigure her face. Then he put Neeta on the flight to Geneva and went back to the airport bar to stay there till the morning. Vikram boasts about having pinned the murder on Raj. However, Raj takes Vikram to a computer and shows him his empty bank account. Raj says that he had guessed the password, "Everything is planned", something that Vikram used to say a lot, and used it to transfer the money back to the insurance company. Raj also reveals that everything Vikram said had been recorded. A fight erupts between the two and Neeta dies in the conflict. Angered at losing Neeta, Vikram gets aggressive, killing the insurance officer and seemingly kills Raj. He chases Priya to kill her too, but Raj is able to save her. Arjun's sister, Seema (Raveena Tandon), is in love with Pyare. Arjun has no female companion and some petty comments are made about his age. Scared, and with the gangsters after her, she calls the police station and asks for Pyare, but since he is not there, Arjun is asked to go to her, and masquerade as Pyare, who had been described as a very good person to Neha by her dead friend. In a considerable amount of confusion, he takes her to Pyare's house and even gets to the extent of asking Pyare to masquerade as Arjun. For a few days Arjun decides to stay at Pyare's apartment, as Pyare. While Pyare is asked to stay at Arjun's house to protect his family. Arjun starts to fall in love with Neha. Arjun and Pyare are asked to meet Madhuri to register an underworld complaint, but Bade and Chote meet her accidentally and are taken for Arjun/Pyare. Both are kicked when they both proposition Madhuri for marriage. Even Seema and Neha mistake Bade and Chote for Arjun and Pyare. Neha finds Bade at the jewelers (where he has just been handed the necklace that Arjun ordered for Seema's Bday) and brings him home. Chote follows him home. Arjun reaches the Jewellers later and finds the necklace is missing. Later Bade and Chote realize that they are copy cats of 2 police officers. They are deputed by commissioner to protect the other half of the Kohinoor diamond which is on display in India in a museum. When Chote and Bade find out, they pose as police to inspect the museums security under office Hamak Jaykar (Asrani). Hamak shows Chote and Bade all security measures and ways to defeat it. Zorawar confronts Bade and Chote for the return of the diamond and parade Seema in front of them. Bade and Chote want to buy time and agree to bring Neha to him and leave the diamond with Zorawar to keep Seema safe. Bade and Chote arrive at Zorawar's hideout and stall them while Arjun and Pyare come with police force and everyone at the hideout is arrested. The crooks leave after apologizing to Neha and Seema for the confusion. However, some of Zorawar's men hijack the police van which is taking Zorawar and his associates to jail. They are stopped on the way by Bade and Chote, asking for a lift. The latter realizes who really are in the van and proceed to badly thrash Zorawar and his men and return him to jail. Arjun and Pyare are criticized for their mistake regarding the hijacking of the van and the two crooks are given a job in the police force by the commissioner himself. Sahil Sinha (Bobby Deol) comes from a wealthy family. He is the stepson of Governor Jaisingh Sinha (Raj Babbar) whom he does not get along with while Jaisingh tries to get close to him. Even Sahil's mother Sharda (Priya Tendulkar) cannot persuade her son to get close to Jaisingh. Sahil enrolls into college and reunites with his childhood sweetheart/friend, Isha Diwan (Kajol). The two drifted apart when Isha was sent to boarding school years ago. Isha's father Ishwar (Paresh Rawal) is the secretary of Jaisingh. Sahil also meets Sheetal Chaudhary (Manisha Koirala) whose father Megnath (Dalip Tahil) is a good friend of Jaisingh. Sahil and Isha fall in love while Sheetal falls for Sahil, believing he is also in love with her. Jaisingh and Megnath learn that Sheetal loves Sahil, so they decide to announce their engagement at Sahil's birthday party. However, this does not go down well with Sahil because he does not love Sheetal and intended to announce his engagement to Isha. Jaisingh and Sahil get into an argument and in a fit of rage, Sahil holds a knife up to his father, being stopped by his mother. Sahil gets heavily drunk at Dr. Gandhi's (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) house, Sinha's family doctor. Gandhi advises Sahil to reconsider, saying that Sahil will lead a happier life with Sheetal. When Sahil gets home, he is shocked to discover that his father has been stabbed to death with the same knife Sahil had threatened him with. Before Sinha can reveal the name of his attacker, he dies. Sharda finds Sahil holding a knife and assumes him to be the killer. Although he did not see the killer enter or leave, Sahil has one clue - a locket which may belong to the killer. The next day, he is taken to court, where his mother, Sheetal's father, Isha's father and all those who were present at his party testify against him and say that he must have been responsible for his father's death. Sahil is sentenced to 14 years in prison. Before he goes to jail, he is able to hand the locket over to Sheetal. Sheetal visits Sahil in jail and agrees to help him break out. In jail, Sahil relates his story to an old prisoner. The prisoner tells Sahil about an escape route. Sahil breaks out of prison with Sheetal's help. Once Sahil is out, he is reunited with Isha. Both Isha and Sheetal decide to help Sahil prove his innocence by solving the mystery of who killed his father. However, the authorities are on Sahil's track - no-nonsense Inspector Udham Singh (Om Puri) and his team is determined to capture Sahil. Sahil decides to visit Dr. Gandhi, believing he will have a clue. Sahil secretly meets Isha at her home, where he calls Dr Gandhi for advice, and Dr Gandhi invites Sahil to his home. However, he finds that Dr. Gandhi has also been stabbed - this makes the investigation more complicated. Dr Gandhi's servant reports Sahil to the police. Sahil and Isha are soon found by Inspector Singh but narrowly escape. Sahil returns to the city and confronts those who testified against him in court, believing that they all had some motive for killing Jaisingh. Now accused of two murders, Sahil suspects advocate Thanawala (Raza Murad). He enters Thanawala's office and brutally interrogates him, throwing him out from the window of his office. Sahil similarly interrogates Choudhary and Vilas Rao but it leads to nothing. Sahil, Sheetal and Isha trick Mantriji into attending a ceremony and abduct him. When Inspector Singh realizes what Sahil is actually doing, he believes that Sahil is innocent. The murders were committed by two identical knives. Singh finds the same set of knives at Ishwar Dewan's house with two knives missing and arrests Dewan, who confesses. Isha's father confesses to killing Jaisingh because he was angry that Jaisingh would not let Isha marry Sahil: Ishwar is put in prison. Sheetal tells Sahil that the murderer is Ishwar Dewan, and Sahil releases Mantriji. Isha, however, is shocked and tries to attack Sheetal, and later rushes to meet her father. Sahil, now free, returns home and reconciles with his mother and half-brother, Harsh (Master Harsh Lunia). Sahil gives the necklace to Harsh. Harsh opens the necklace and shows it to Sahil, who finds his and Isha's pictures inside. Sahil realizes Isha is the killer. In the meantime, Isha enters Uddham Singh's house and stabs him multiple times. Sahil interrogates Ishwar Dewan, who admits that Isha is the killer. He reveals that while Isha loves him immensely, she has had a massive anger management problem since her childhood, particularly when it comes to Sahil. As a child, she had killed Dr. Gandhi's dog after it bit Sahil, following which she was sent to a boarding school by Sinha and Dr. Gandhi to keep her away from Sahil. After Sahil's argument with his father, Dewan and Isha had gone to meet Sinha the following morning, to request him to unite Sahil and Isha, whereupon the latter rejected and humiliated them in a fit of anger and asked them to leave. Isha was so enraged that she later stabbed Sinha to death. When Dr. Gandhi realized that she was the murderer, she killed him as well. Sahil is shocked beyond words but understands that Isha will try to attack Sheetal next and calls her. He rushes to her house but is attacked by Babu Anna, an assassin hired earlier by Mantriji to kill Sahil and Isha. Sahil is injured but manages to incapacitate Babu Anna and reach the house. Sheetal is fooled by Isha at first, because the latter falsely apologizes for her misbehavior. However, Isha suddenly attacks Sheetal. Sahil arrives on time to save her and pulls Isha off Sheetal, who rushes into Sahil's arms. An enraged Isha tries to stab Sheetal, but Babu Anna tries to intervene and is killed instead. An injured Uddham Singh arrives and fatally shoots Isha. In her final moments, Isha begs Sahil for forgiveness. During the end credits, Sahil is joined by Sheetal in the club that he was seen in at the beginning of the movie.
