Tum Milo To Sahi is a tale of ordinary people at different stages of life, who discover that `their roots have intertwined so inseparably that they have become one tree and not two!` The film revolves around three different couples at three different stages of life - late teens, mid thirties and late fifties. The three couples either in the `breathlessness of being in love` or are missing `that excitement`. Wherever they may be to begin with, the journey of life makes them discover true love - that which is left over, when `being in love` has burned away. Tum Milo To Sahi is a look at how that love makes the lives of these ordinary people, extra-ordinary!

Rajan Mathur (Anil Kapoor) is a Professor in Urdu literature in Dr. Zakir Hussain`s College. He resides in Chandni Chowk with his activist wife, Roma Mathur (Shefali Shah). Professor Mathur comes across a young boy called Numair Qazi (Anurag Sinha) who introduces himself as a victim of communal riots in Gujarat. But in actual fact, he is a suicide bomber commissioned by a Muslim fundamentalist group to detonate a bomb near Red Fort on 15th August. Despite his deep-rooted fundamentalist beliefs, he sees this as one of the most colorful and loving areas. There is no black and white. Nevertheless he moves on with his mission. Gandhi My Father unfolds the tragedy in the father son relationship of Mahatma Gandhi and Harilal Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi could transform the soul of a nation but could not save the soul of his own son. His eldest son; Harilal carried his Gandhi identity as a curse around the neck.In the shadows of his father, he roamed the streets like a beggar, converted to Islam as a rebellion, then reconverted to Hinduism as a penance and finally drank himself to his death.The movie shows the deep wound that Gandhi carried in his heart, a great human being and Father of the Nation but a failure as a father to his own son. Gandhi struggled personally, socially and politically, but always put his principles and quest for human dignity above everything else.

Ishwarchand Thakur (Amitabh Bachchan) and Sumitra Thakur (Shefali Shah) are a married couple who run a toy factory together. They have a son named Aditya Thakur (Akshay Kumar) who does not have any interest in responsibility or what he wants to do in life. It gets even worse when he elopes with his girlfriend, Pooja (Priyanka Chopra), the daughter of Natu (Boman Irani). When Pooja gets pregnant, both Ishwar and Sumitra decide to make Aditya realize his responsibilities, as he will have to take care of his wife and child. They take drastic measures and throw Aditya out of the house along with Pooja. As a result, Aditya and Pooja live in a room at the back of the house in the garden. The force becomes so bad that Aditya begins to hate his father and they do not speak to each other for a long time. At the same time Aditya becomes aware of his role in life. However, Ishwar has done all this for a reason and is hiding something. Ishwar is trying to make sure that his son is secure but because he is suffering from lung cancer and he wants his son to be responsible. Aditya succeeds in becoming a responsible man and also finds out the truth about his father when his father comes for his performance on the stage. He steps on the stage but instead he asks the audience to pray to god to give a minute of their lives to keep his father alive until his son's birth. His father is alive until his son is born and he names the baby boy 'Ishwar' after himself and he dies. The movie reaches its climax with Aditya welcoming children at his father's toy factory and playing with an alone, disabled boy like Ishwar did at the start of the film with his family there including his toddler Ishwar. The spirit of Ishwar touches Sumitra's flowers in her hair and it reminds her of the old times.

Satya, an ordinary man from Mumbai, finds himself entangled in the relentless grip of corruption and the underworld. Despite his efforts to break free, he struggles to escape its clutches.
