Vajvuya Band Baja follows the story of three brothers who are eager to get married and end up getting caught in a gamble on love, sex and marriage. The film is a light hearted comedy that revolves around weddings.

Krishna, a young student from a modest background, falls in love with Pushpa, whose brother is politically well-connected. After getting bashed by the possessive brother, Krishna is forced to quit engineering and take refuge at his native village. But the villagers ridicule him by calling him a disgrace to his family- firstly, for getting attacked by a 'low- caste' person, and secondly for letting down his father. Krishna then moves to Mumbai, works part-time and successfully clears the civil service exam to become a district collector.

This film is centered around 'Bhonga' - the sound heard commonly at weddings, DJs, dance bars, mosques.

Halim, who is divorced by her husband is overjoyed, when he comes back seeking her in a remarriage. But in her religion Halim has to undergo something known as Halala, where she has to marry another guy, consummate their relationship, divorce him and get married to her first husband. A Maulana offers to do the needful, according to their customs. Things come to a heady mix when she's confused between staying and leaving the current marriage to the Maulana, who in a little while showered her with love and care.
