Shabana, a young college student after serving a term for killing her abusive father is recruited by an Indian spy agency for a highly classified mission.

While on their date, Jai confesses his love to her, she doesn't respond to him then and on the way back home they run into a gang of 4 boys who are evidently drunk and end up eve teasing. Shabana, being the girl she is, gets into a fight and this results in a life defining moment. And it's then that she gets a call from an unknown number. The movie is based on a Gujarati play, which was written by Uttam Gada and directed by Paresh Rawal. The plot moves around Subash (Paresh Rawal) who is a small time crook who cons people for a living. A chance meeting with the ailing Mr Adenwalla (Nasseruddin Shah) gets him a job as his driver. The growing resentment between Mr. and Mrs Adenwalla (Neha Dhupia) fuels his wicked schemes and he soon devises a plot with Mrs Adenwalla to usurp the property. But fate has other plans in store for him.

An acting marriage witness Ankush falls in love with a girl who has been betrayed by her lover. When he returns back, Ankush tries his best to save his relationship. For a fee of Rs.200/- Ankush Ramdev acted as one among four witnesses to couples who come to register their marriages at the Registrar of Marriages in Dariyaganj, Delhi. One day he comes across a single woman from Nainital and offers his services, but the girl tells him that she is waiting for her to-be groom, Dheeraj Ansaria. At the end of the day, when he does not show up, Ankush feels sorry for her, Megha Joshi, and offers to assist her until he gets back. They spend the night at a Dargah, and then go to wait for Dheeraj, who does not show. A penniless and tearful Megha now asks Ankush to help, he helps her again, and falls in love with her, so much so that he considers learning English and re-locating to Bombay. Then he comes across a young man, who later identifies himself as Dheeraj, who is desperately looking for his bride-to-be.
