ACT 1978 talks about a pregnant woman who chooses her own way to condemn the injustices caused by the bureaucratic system.

Software engineer Venkata Krishna Gubbi meets Purple Priya, and falls head over heels for her. But that`s only the beginning his problems. All hell breaks loose once Gubbi finds himself on the wrong side of the villainous Mr. Robinhood and Venkat Reddy, and to make things worse, Priya is kidnapped! What follows is a series of misadventures, as Gubbi and his best friend Nani try to escape the messy situation they are in. But can they?

The film is a story of a common man who becomes a villain, a bad man owing to the treatment of the system. A simple man living a happy life with his family is troubled and tortured by the lawmakers. He is forcefully imprisoned. His helplessnesses breaks him and turns him into an angry human.

This Kannada action entertainer stars Bollywood actress and model, Sameera Reddy. The film also stars Chiranjeevi Saraja. The rest of the film`s cast includes Nikesha Patel, Mukyamantri Chandru, Sharat Lohitashva, Shobaraj, Jai Jagadish, Bullet Prakash, Sharan and Padmaja Rao. The film has been directed by Ayyappa P Sharma, produced by Shankar Gowda under the Shankar Productions banner. Arjun Janya has given the film it`s music score.
