On the southeast Asia island of Tian-Huo, a group of scientists are studying a volcano. Young Meng says to her mother Sue that the snow is on fire, but Sue says that is impossible. Then she realizes her little girl is seeing ash from the volcano. Within minutes burning rocks are flying out of the volcano like meteors, and the people in the base camp have to pack up and leave. Sue is able to put her daughter on one of the trucks but cannot get on the truck herself. Her husband, Professor Tao, tries to get to her in his jeep but he has a wreck. Sue can only say goodbye as she watches a hot cloud of gas rush toward her. Years later Professor Tao talks about this volcano to his class, saying it took minutes to go from seemingly dormant to erupting, and that even Vesuvius gave a few hours warning. Jack Harris has built a resort and theme park on Tian-Huo, believing what he was told about the volcano not erupting for another 150 years. He tells people that tourists pay big money to live on the edge. Experts, however, believe he is wrong about the risk. Now an adult, Meng is putting measuring devices in place at different locations on the volcano. This involves being lowered into a hold wearing protective gear. However, she nearly falls in the volcano when being raised. Two of the researchers are romantically involved. The man is given a ring by the girl's grandfather. Guests arrives at the resort and Harris welcomes them. Then he turns over one of the groups to his wife, who serves as their tour guide. Before she takes them out, she tells her husband she wants him to pay more attention to her. Tao visits the island intending to take his daughter home. He has watched video of the volcano and believes it could erupt, and staying on the island will be dangerous. Meng refuses to leave and shows him a model of the volcano at the base station, which displays all the readings from her equipment. The tour group takes a monorail to the crater. Assured they are entering one of the safest places on Earth, the group is lowered into the crater in a vehicle that is designed to withstand the volcano's heat. Then they exit and look at the magnificent view on a platform outside. The happy couple go swimming but soon find themselves in danger as lava blocks the way they went in. Tao and Meng, keeping in touch with the base station, warn the tourists they need to leave. Finally, the volcano comes to life and they have just enough time to leave. One of the researchers in another location falls to his death, and so do several tourists. When they return to the top, the tour group have just enough time to exit the vehicle before it is destroyed. Although the group used one cable car to enter, they need both cable cars to exit. After Meng teaches someone how to operate the first cable car, she and Tao, Mrs. Harris and several others go in the second car. Unfortunately, that is the car which will not make it to the end, as Meng sees from a distance that its cable is broken. The tourists must jump from one car to the other, and if that's not enough, they must dodge the supporting structures. One does not make it. Meng, Tao and Mrs. Harris remain in the cable car when there is no time to exit, and they fall down the mountain. They are picked up in a jeep after they land by the couple who were swimming. Back at the resort, Harris tried distracting the tourists but they now know what is going on and are panicking, running for the exit. Soon flaming rocks are landing on the resort and some tourists are unable to escape. Those that do make it to boats. The news is worse for the village, where people are running for their lives. There is no route to escape. Meng and Tao must figure out a solution along with the one researcher who stayed at the base station when others evacuated, and he keeps in constant contact. Lava is headed for the village, but it can be diverted by releasing water from a reservoir. The group in the jeep encounters numerous obstacles as they head for the control room that will allow them to save the village. Harris watches several news channels which broadcast in different languages, all of which are focusing on this one story. Then he switches to video of the resort and sees a crying girl. He goes out to save the girl. After seeing the girl's mother has died, he doesn't tell her what happened but hands her the watch his father gave him and asks her to listen to it. He hands her off to someone on a boat but says he will wait for his wife. Then he gets hit by a flaming rock. At the facility where they can release the water, flaming rocks are blocking the group from doing anything. However, a drone has been traveling around the island and it can be used to release the water. The lava is diverted from the village. The girl hopes to rescue her grandfather but when they find him, he can do nothing more than say goodbye. Tao gives Meng a tool that belonged to her mother and tells Meng how much he regrets not being able to save her. A helicopter is on the way, but the group in the jeep has to cross a bridge over a river of lava. The bridge falls before Tao can get across. Tao returns to the base station, which is soon destroyed, and takes a motorcycle. When the helicopter rescues the rest of the group, Meng sees a flare go up and realizes it is her father. A hot cloud of ash rushes through the area where the flare came from and Meng cries, knowing there's no way her father could survive. On a ship, Mrs. Harris sees the girl with the watch and asks about who gave it to her. She is told he did not survive. However, while watching news coverage, the group sees amazing footage of Tao being rescued. Meng is soon happy to be reunited with him, and in flashbacks, Tao is shown studying the model of the volcano at the base station, and then again when he sends up the flare. he disappears into a hole. Back on the ship, he explains what he did. Then the credits roll.

The story follows Turk Henry (Antonio Banderas); a mega platinum rock star who's married to a supermodel Sheila (Olga Kurylenko) and rich beyond his wildest dreams. Turk was kicked out of his own band when he abandoned them while he was dating Sheila. Turk claims that he met Sheila when he went to a treatment resort for sex addiction. To rub it in, the band went on to be super popular without Turk and sells a million copies of their first album after splitting with Turk. Turk has now not left his Malibu mansion for 2 years. Turk doesn't do anything around the house himself. When he is angry, he orders his house servant to throw the TV into the pool for him. Turk is from Chile but claims that he is from London and cannot speak Spanish. Turk does say that the Mayor of the town erected a statue of him in Santiago after his last performance there. Turk loves the van in his driveway which has been with him since his starting days as a band member. Turk says that it is a reminder of how far he has come. Sheila forces Turk to holiday in Chile (Sheila has to drag Turk out of the house and she claims that she wants to learn about Turk's culture). Unfortunately, they arrive in the winter season and the hotel is near empty. Turk is only interested in drinking beer and sleeping, and thus Sheila is forced to take a tour bus into the jungle to see the Llamas, by herself. The tour bus has 2 more couples with her. One couple on the tour bus had brought along weapons to shoot the Llamas, but Sheila intervenes and stops them from shooting the animals. The animals instead attack the couple, and the man dies with a strong head butt into his chest, and he discharges his rifle which hits the woman, killing her on the spot. Sheila is mysteriously abducted by a group of renegades, ship-less pirates. Sheila is imprisoned with fellow Kidnappees Sandrine (Anna Francolini) & Charlie (Jeremy Swift). Charlie runs a double-glazing company back in London and offers to pay the ransom in windows. Sheila realizes that the gang are not hardened criminals, and the leader Juan admits that this is their first kidnapping, and they have been pirates for less than 9 hours. The kidnappers figure out that Sheila is Turk's wife (as she had a tattoo of his famous band Metal Assassins on her hand) and call the hotel for a ransom of $ 1 MM, which is apparently chump change for Turk. Turk claims that once he paid $2 MM for a tortoise. Turk calls his agents John Hardigger (David Mitchell) in London to ask for the money. John refuses to speak with Turk and that leaves him to deal with John's assistant Marybeth (Aisling Loftus). The money is made available at a local bank, but Turk has to go and pick it. He is terrified to "do something himself". Ben Harding (Mark Valley) is the FBI agent in Santiago assigned to the case. Ramon (Fernando Godoy) is Ben's local liaison. Ben hates Santiago and the decaying smell of the town. Ben believes that Chile is a dead end and would love to go back to the states. He wants to investigate the terrorist angle in the Sheila kidnapping as that would mean a sure-fire promotion for him. Ben doesn't want Turk to get the money as that would mean that the case would be settled soon and no promotion for him. Ben tells Turk that he cannot be allowed to pay the random and fund the terrorists. So, when Turk gets the money, Ben chases him all over town to snatch it from Turk, and Ben is successful in taking away the money suitcase from Turk. On the way, Turk runs into his own statue in the city. Ben warns Turk to stay in his hotel. Meanwhile a soft attraction is brewing between Sheila and kidnapper gang leader Juan Carlos (Ben Cura). Juan reveals that all the gang members are typical middle-class folks, with regular jobs. But their meager incomes were not enough to help them meet their expenses. With no other option, Turk calls Marybeth in code language (as he knows Ben is tapping his phone) and asks her to come to Chile. Marybeth reaches Chile & hires security consultant Clive Muggleton (Martin Dingle Wall), who keeps making inappropriate comic sexual advances towards Marybeth. Ben leans on Clive's company and gets them to drop the case, but Clive approaches Turk and says he will take the case for $ 0.5 MM. The team of Turk, Marybeth and Clive devise a plan to confuse Ben and extract money from the bank to pay the ransom. But the plan goes wrong when Ben follows Clive and seemingly kills him in a hands on fight. With Clive gone, Turk has no option but to deliver the money himself. He takes a boat, but Ben is in close pursuit. But then Clive shows up to Marybeth and says that he faked his death to escape Ben. Marybeth and Clive both decide to help Turk. Turk reaches the kidnappers lair as per the delivery instructions, but first Ben and then Marybeth and Clive also get there. Juan is angry as he asked Turk to come alone. Ben is killed by his own hand grenade as he tries to disrupt the deal between Turk and Juan. Turk declares his love for Sheila and since Juan is a big fan of Turk's band, they make a deal. But when Turk meets Sheila, she asks Turk to prove his love for her. Turk sings an original song for Sheila and wins her back Back at the hotel Marybeth tells Turk that John has drained 4 of his clients bank accounts and disappeared. Turk is broke. He has to take club gigs in the US to survive. Meanwhile Clive tracks down John, kills him and steals the money.

Director Simon West and Nicolas Cage team-up for the first time since the 1997 blockbuster CON AIR for STOLEN, a unique fast paced action thriller that takes place during 10 frantic hours on Mardi Gras day in New Orleans. The film also stars Josh Lucas, Danny Huston, Malin Akerman, Sami Gayle, Mark Valley and M.C. Gainey. The story follows Will Montgomery (played by Nicolas Cage), a master thief who has been sent to prison for 8 years after being double-crossed in a heist gone awry. Upon his release, hes ready to leave his criminal past behind and rebuild his relationship with estranged daughter, Alison Loeb (played by Sami Gayle). Montgomery`s former criminal cohorts and FBI agent Tim Harlend (played by Danny Huston), are all convinced that the loot, totaling $10 Million dollars worth of bonds, was hidden away by Montgomery before he was sentenced. In order to get his hands on it, former partner in crime, Vincent (played by Josh Lucas), kidnaps Alison and demands the loot as ransom; keeping her in a soundproofed trunk of a taxi cab on Mardi Gras day where she is nearly impossible to be discovered. Montgomery has only one day to deliver the $10 Million ransom, but much to the disbelief of both Vincent and the FBI, he does not actually have it. Montgomery is left with only one choice: To trust his instincts and join forces again with another old partner in crime, the beautiful, sexy and smart Riley Jeffers (played by Malin Akerman). Together they must pull off one more heist so he can get his daughter back before its too late. ``I think the cast is outstanding and what makes one movie better or stand out from another is really the screenplay and cast. Croft (Angelina Jolie) in an Egyptian tomb, seeking a diamond at one end of a chamber. As she approaches, she is attacked by a large robot. After an intense chase and battle, she disables it by ripping out its motivational circuits. She takes the diamond, which is revealed to be a memory card labeled 'Lara's Party Mix,' and inserts it into a laptop computer inside the robot, whereupon it plays music. Now it is revealed that the scene took place in a practice arena in Croft's home, and that her assistant, Bryce (Noah Taylor), programmed the robot to challenge her in combat. It is the day of the first phase of a planetary alignment, culminating in a solar eclipse on the Earth, which happens once every 5,000 years. In Venice, the Illuminati search for a key to rejoin the halves of "the triangle," which must be done by the final phase of the alignment. Mr. Powell (Iain Glen), an Illuminati member, makes assurances that they are almost ready, but in reality, he has no idea where to find the key. Croft's butler, Hillary (Chris Barrie), tries to interest her in several projects, but she ignores them. 15 May, as Hillary is aware, is the day that Croft's father (Jon Voight) disappeared many years earlier. She has not recovered from his loss. Later that night, Croft has a dream reminding her of what her father said about the alignment, and an object linked to it called the Triangle of Light. Waking, she is aware of a clock ticking. Searching for it, she discovers a secret chamber in her house with a carriage clock that had spontaneously begun ticking. Bryce probes it and discovers a strange device hidden inside the clock. Since the device resembles a clock, Croft consults a clock expert friend of her father's, Mr. Wilson (Leslie Phillips). She believes it is connected to the "Triangle of Light," but Wilson disavows knowledge of the clock or the Triangle. Croft encounters Alex West (Daniel Craig), a fellow tomb raider with unscrupulous methods. They are attracted to each other, but Croft cannot abide by his for-profit attitude. That night, Croft is contacted by Wilson, who tells her that he gave her name to a man named Manfred Powell in regards of the clock. In reality, Wilson is also a member of the Illuminati. The next day, Croft sees Powell in his home and shows him photographs of the clock. Later, while discussing it with Bryce, she points out that Powell was lying about his knowledge. That night, armed commandos invade the house and steal the clock despite Croft's attempts to fend them off. The next morning, Croft receives a letter from her father, arranged to arrive after the beginning of the alignment, where he explains that the clock is the key to retrieve two halves of the mystic Triangle of Light, which is revealed to be an object of phenomenal destructive power that granted its wielder power over time and space. Initially housed in a city built by those who worshiped the object, misuse of the Triangle's power destroyed the city, and so it was split into two halves; one was hidden in a tomb in Cambodia, the other half in the ruined city itself, in modern-day Siberia. Her father urges her to find and destroy both halves before the Illuminati can find it. In Cambodia, West figures out part of the puzzle on how to retrieve the triangle half, but Croft manages to successfully grab the piece and escape the temple after fighting off and destroying a huge six-armed guardian statue. She and Powell arrange to meet in Venice, since each of them has what the other needs to finish the Triangle. Powell proposes a partnership to find the Triangle and informs Lara that her father was a member of the Illuminati, which she vehemently denies. Though hesitant at first, she, along with Bryce, meets with Powell for the trip to Siberia. Inside the tomb, there is a giant model of the solar system, which activates as the alignment nears completion. Croft retrieves the last half of the Triangle, but when Powell tries to complete it, the halves will not fuse. He realizes that Croft knows the solution to the puzzle and kills West in order to persuade her to complete the Triangle to save both West's life and her father's. Croft reluctantly complies & completes the triangle with a single grain of sand that was hidden inside the clock. As the triangle is completed, the source of power is revealed & they then struggle for control of the Triangle, with Croft prevailing. Croft then finds herself in a strange alternate existence facing her father. He explains that it is a "crossing" of time and space and urges her to destroy the Triangle instead of using it to save his life. She leaves her father and returns to the chamber, where time is slowly running backwards from the point where Powell killed West. Croft takes the knife he threw into West's chest and reverses it, then destroys the Triangle, which returns time to its normal flow and directs the knife into Powell's shoulder. The chamber begins to self-destruct, everyone turns to leave, but Powell tells Croft that he killed her father and retrieved his pocket watch with a picture of Lara's mother inside. Croft fights him to retrieve it, killing him and escaping as the chamber comes down around her. At the mansion, Hillary and Bryce are shocked to see Croft wearing a dress. She goes into the garden to her father's memorial, then returns inside, where Bryce has a reprogrammed SIMON, ready to challenge Croft once again. Hillary reveals a silver tray holding Croft's pistols, which she takes with a smile.
