`Bhram` is a thriller, directed by Pawan Kaul and starring Milind Soman, Dino Morea, Sheetal Menon and Simone Singh. Media Magnate Nari Hira`s `Bhram` is based on the life of columnist Shobha De. In fact, Shobha De was a protg of Nari Hira, who gave her a break as the editor of the film magazine Stardust. Bhavna Iyer, who has written the story of `Bhram`, was also the editor of Stardust and therefore was in the know-how of the in and out of spicy journalism. The character of Deepshikha in the film is called `Sunita` who is a page 3 journalist by profession, and thrives on writing spicy news of the rich and famous. She is perpetually on the lookout for controversies. She is all out to expose Milind Soman, who plays an investment banker, and destroy his reputation.

Vikramaditya Singh (Lucky Ali) is a teacher in a music school named "Sur" in Ooty where he, with others, polishes every student's voice to make them stars. Vikram is very passionate about music and can play several instruments flawlessly. Vikram is a true master of the violin. Vikram is so perfect that most of his students believe that they can never achieve his standards and tend to give up midway during their training. Vikram has just released a new music album working with his music producer. Vikram believes that if his work is good, it will sell for itself. He does not believe in launch parties, or publicity events. Vikram believes that it is his school that will make him immortal. Harman (Eshan Khan) is Vikram's only friend in the entire world. Although Vikramaditya is a famous singer himself, he is not satisfied with his creations as he is looking for a special person. His heart longs for someone so special that, if worked on, would be a masterpiece who would be known as the worthiest graduate and the world's most talented singer. He accidentally meets Tina (Gauri Karnik), who has a magical voice. Vikram was returning home when his jeep breaks down. Harman asks him to get water and Vikram wander off coming across a church where he finds Tina singing in the choir. He learns about her when she sings a prayer in church. The priest tells Vikram that Tina studies in college and then serves drinks at her sister Rita's bar at night. During the evening, she comes for choir. Vikramaditya decides to take her to his school, where she can pay more attention to singing. Vikram goes to Rita's bar. Vikram tells Rita that Tina has an amazing voice but needs a little work. He offers Tina a place in his school, where a new session is starting in 2 days. Vikram says that he wants to make a star out of Tina. Rita recognizes that Vikram is a famous singer. Divya (Simone Singh) is Vikram's business partner for 8 years and objects to Tina gaining entry without the tough entry tests that other students had to endure, but Vikram overrides her saying that Tina will be his true successor. Vikram says that Tina will be his chance to become immortal in the annals of music. Divya is jealous and says that in her time at the school, Vikram never praised her that way. For training Tina has to shift to Vikram's school and her sister Rita (Divya Dutta), forces her to pack her bags and relocate to Vikram's school. Tina used to help Rita run her bar and contribute to the income of the family. But Rita doesn't want Tina to miss this chance of a lifetime as Vikram is a really successful singer and commercially a superstar. Rita tells Tina that Vikram already gave her a check for Rs 58,820 to hire a replacement for Tina at the bar. Tina starts off by being totally tone deaf and Vikram gives her individual attention to improve her musical and tonic sense. Vikram is also super tough on her and won't let her settle on mediocrity or let her set low standards for herself. He demands perfection. As Vikramaditya improves Tina's talent, she falls in love with him. Slowly, he molds her into a brilliant singer, and she emerges a star. Vikram's usual music producer Vishal (Yashodhan Bal) and his assistant Pooja (Achint Kaur), visit Vikram's school and hear Tina sing. They are mesmerized by her songs and want to sign Tina along with Vikram for his next album with them. In spite of Vikramaditya's dream coming true, he starts feeling jealous when he discovers Tina's success. He is not able to take in the fact that she is better than he is, so he starts competing with her. He agrees to Tina singing a song with him in his next album, but when Vishal and Pooja arrive, he presents Tina's song as his own. It was supposed to be a duet, but Vikram starts breaking her confidence, then dominates and overpowers her. He eradicates Tina from her own creation. Tina is completely broken down and can't understand why this is happening to her. Tina leaves the school. Her song is a blockbuster hit. At a party, One of Vikram's students Aqib (Harsh Vashisht), who was also good friends with Tina, confronts Vikram and accuses him of stealing Tina's song. Vikram throws Aqib out of the school, and for the first time Divya also tells Vikram to confront his own reality that he is refusing to acknowledge. Vikram starts drinking a lot and loses all control. Rita comes by and thanks Vikram profusely for the opportunity that he gave Tina. But she gives him a check for Tina's time at the school. Divya is livid and tells Vikram that he is wrong. Vikram goes to meet Tina and finds that she has become a sister at a convent. Vikram is devastated that he has destroyed Tina's life, but Divya helps him understand that Tina loves him. She asks Vikram not to give up. Vikram pursues Tina relentlessly and reminds her of her love for music. Vikram asks Vishal and Pooja to organize a concert in a week's time. They are super chuffed as this is the first concert Vikram has agreed to in his professional life. Vikram admits to Tina that he was a failure as he got jealous of his own student's success. Tina is moved by this confession and agrees to sing. On the day of the concert, Vikram goes missing and Pooja & Vishal beg Tina to sing to save the day. Tina performs at the concert dedicating her love for Vikramaditya, and the concert is a huge success. Later, Tina goes to meet Vikram at his house, and feels grateful to Vikram and expresses her desire to sing with him. But Vikram rejects her proposal, telling her that she should sing alone and that he wants her to become a big name in the future. A Heartbroken Tina leaves Vikram's house and continues her career, dedicating it to Vikram.

Daughters are Priti (Juhi Chawla), Priya (Simone Singh) and Rani. Ladoo Mama (Shakti Kapoor) is Pratima's brother and lives with Vijay. Ladoo is dating Sweety Aunty (Kunika). Brij (Anang Desai) is a family friend of Vijay. Jagmohan Thappar (Alok Nath) is a business competitor, but on friendly terms with Vijay. Rajesh Purohit (Mohnish Bahl) enters the family, and deviously impresses Vijay with his efficiency, and his eldest daughter Priti (Juhi Chawla) with his charm, whereas his main goal is to impoverish their family and take over Vijay's fortune. Soon, Vijay approves the marriage of Priti and Rajesh who becomes a son-in-law who stays at home. Meanwhile, Ajay falls in love with Nisha (Karisma Kapoor) and plans to marry her. Nisha is Jagmohan's daughter. At first Ajay finds a 100 flaws in Nisha and tells her that she has no sense of dressing. Nisha converts herself to a traditional Indian girl and meets Ajay. Now AJay is interested in her, but Nisha says now she can get any decent guy she wants and starts dating Suniel Shetty to make Ajay jealous. The whole family goes on a picnic to woo Nisha and it turns out that Suniel is Nisha's brother and was only acting to make Ajay jealous. Vijay convinces Ajay to first gain experience in the family business, even though Ajay wants to start his own business. However, ideological differences result in disputes between the two. Hari Singh (Ashish Vidyarthi) is a factory supervisor & union leader who mistreats his workers & gambles during working hours and Ajay sees this. Ajay confronts Hari, who is rude and dismissive towards Ajay. When Hari hits Rajesh, Ajay retaliates and beats Hari. Hari calls a strike. Vijay tells Ajay that he knows everything about Unions and he still ignores this and uses the union for his own purposes. He wants Ajay to apologize to Hari. Vijay forces Ajay to apologize to Hari. Consequently, Ajay stands firm in his decision to start his own business. He asks his father for economic assistance. When Vijay refuses to do so, Ajay takes a loan. When Vijay discovers this, he is furious and throws Ajay out of the house (Rajesh tries to talk to Ajay into accepting Vijay's money and Ajay tells him to get out of his room. Rajesh decides to leave the house (pretending to be offended of being told to leave the house), but Vijay throws out Ajay instead). Ajay finally marries Nisha and they move into their new house. Jagmohan refuses to support Ajay, but Nisha goes against him & marries Ajay. Rajesh makes Vijay sign a power of attorney, without his knowledge, hidden in a stack of normal papers. This is how Vijay goes bankrupt, and all his fortune goes automatically to Rajesh. The lenders arrive at Vijay's doorstep asking for their money back, else they will liquidate all of Vijay's properties, including his house. Rajesh reveals his true nature and it emerges, he was in cahoots with Hari and the money lenders (he had mortgaged the properties for list price, but pocketed half the amount himself). Rajesh knew that Ajay never asked him to leave the house, only his room, but Rajesh deliberately overplayed the incident to get Vijay to throw Ajay out of the house. Priti overhears all this and is shocked. As Ajay finds out what happened, he gets that Rajesh was the one who had incited arguments between the two. Ajay tries to get close to his father again, which causes a crisis in his relationship with Nisha, who is not pleased with Ajay's reunion with his family. Ajay and Nisha get separated due to consistent arguments between them, and while she finds out that she is pregnant, Ajay has already returned home. His mission now is to return his family fortune and his father's faith, as the latter still cannot forgive him their dispute. Vijay and Ajay eventually become reconciled, although he is yet to return the fortune. They get a stay order on the house auction and buy some time to figure the mess out. Vijay rules out harming Rajesh as that would impact Priti. Rajesh begins to treat Priti badly (after Ajay confronts Rajesh and beats him up), and she also comes back home. Ajay is asked by Vijay to get Nisha back home (she had gone to her father after the tiff). But when Ajay arrives there, Jagmohan asks him to sign divorce papers. Ajay brings Nisha home in exchange (in a deal made with Jagmohan only) for signing the divorce papers and asks her not to reveal the truth to his family. But Nisha is shocked when Ajay actually does sign the papers and hands them to Nisha, who goes back home with her dad. As auction is imminent, the factory workers finally realize that they are going to lose everything. They beat up Hari for conspiring against Vijay and his business. Ajay saves Hari and he is grateful. The workers pool their savings and their houses to gather enough cash to buy the factory and the house at the auctions. Ladoo bids against Rajesh at the auction and the winning bid is Rs 125 Crores. Now Ajay has 2 days to pay the money. Ajay then decides to return his family fortune violently (with the full force of all the factory workers) and forces Rajesh to sign another power of attorney which says that the money comes back to Vijay. Vijay uses the money to pay the auction bill. Priti, in a letter tells Rajesh that she can never forgive him for the atrocities he inflicted on her family and orders him to leave for good. Nisha reunites with Ajay when she learns that the divorce was not mutual and was engineered by her father, and the family finally comes together and lives happily as it used to be before.
