Chaarfutiya Chhokare is the story of Neha Malini (Soha Ali Khan), an NRI who is returning to India to start a school in Bihar. Though she is initially optimistic and upbeat about the endeavor, she is unprepared for the trials and tribulations that await her. Neha comes across three young boys - Awadhesh, Gorakh and Hari, who seem perfectly normal at first. However, she soon finds out that they are hardened criminals. Once she learns of their activities, Neha sets out to stop the crimes and sexual abuse of children in the village.

It is an evocative and poignant composition consisting of three separate stories set in three different cities in contemporary India. Every story revolves around love, life and loss. The first story enters straight into the heart of Farooq (Ankur Khanna) and Ira's (Soha Ali Khan) relationship in Mumbai. Farooq remains troubled by his own inability to let go of the memories of his dead parents in his ancestral which he continues to occupy and use as the disturbing muse for his own writing. So deeply ensconced in being haunted by his own past, Farooq appears incapable of fully living in the present, to the extent to which he proves powerless in responding to the possibility of sharing true love with Ira. In Kolkatta, the second vignette revolves around Dr. Siddharth Bose (Victor Banerjee), a wealthy Calcutta surgeon in his fifties. Dr. Bose's is stuck in the rut of a loveless, pitiful, and seemingly pointless marriage which he attempts to rattle by embarking on a quick, nervous and uncomfortable affair with a much younger woman. His lover, Lea (Keira Chaplin), is a German on her own journey to discover India, and to some extent herself. Their passionate yet tormented romance lays the groundwork for Dr. Bose and his wife (Roopa Ganguly) to repair their relationship while Dr. Bose simultaneously self-destructs his nascent, doomed affair. The third and final story occurs in the south Indian city of Kochi where the Nair family confronts the sudden loss of a nuclear family member who died serving in the Indian military. One of the Nair children, Naveen (Karthik Kumar), returns from Vienna to try and reconcile the harsh, lonely reality of his brother Keshi's (Shayan Munshi) death with his own inability to connect with his personal and familial history in India and his present predicament of having to feign a relationship with a woman to conceal his love for a man in Europe. —Swarup Basak

An acting marriage witness Ankush falls in love with a girl who has been betrayed by her lover. When he returns back, Ankush tries his best to save his relationship. For a fee of Rs.200/- Ankush Ramdev acted as one among four witnesses to couples who come to register their marriages at the Registrar of Marriages in Dariyaganj, Delhi. One day he comes across a single woman from Nainital and offers his services, but the girl tells him that she is waiting for her to-be groom, Dheeraj Ansaria. At the end of the day, when he does not show up, Ankush feels sorry for her, Megha Joshi, and offers to assist her until he gets back. They spend the night at a Dargah, and then go to wait for Dheeraj, who does not show. A penniless and tearful Megha now asks Ankush to help, he helps her again, and falls in love with her, so much so that he considers learning English and re-locating to Bombay. Then he comes across a young man, who later identifies himself as Dheeraj, who is desperately looking for his bride-to-be. Raj Mittal (Fardeen Khan), Veer Saxena (Zayed Khan) and Aryan Kapoor (Sharman Joshi) are unhappy with their respective marriages even though they love their spouses. Their wives Bhavana (Ayesha Takia), Diya (Esha Deol) and Sonia (Soha Ali Khan) are busy with their everyday lives, and their husbands feel ignored by them. Bhavana constantly uses religion as an excuse to not be intimate with her husband, Diya aspires to be an actress for Mr.Y (Rajpal Yadav) (Y tells Diya to get her beauty sleeps and hence she abstains from sex), and Sonia is a lawyer who is obsessed with doing cases with her partner H.S Gulati (Ali Asgar) (she is a winner and has a constant backlog of cases and as such has never got time for sex and frolics). The three men try to commit suicide as Veer tries to hang himself on a tree but falls, Aryan drinks expired rat poison and Raj wishes he was run over by a train but their suicide plan does not work. They meet Kothari (Satish Shah) who is also trying to commit suicide because he had three companies that have broken down. The three men get a job as Kothari hires them to work for him (the guys save Kothari from suicide attempt and give him ideas to relaunch his products with a different branding which are sure to turn them into a super success). Soon the three men come across Kothari's daughters: Madhuri (Riya Sen), Rekha (Aarti Chhabria) and Dimple (Sophie Choudry). It is not long before they are tempted by them. Kothari wants the guys to date his daughters and then dump them, so that their hearts are broken and then they agree to marry grooms of his choice. Veer goes after Rekha, Aryan goes after Madhuri, and Veer after dimple. The trio are successful in getting the girls to love them, but now don't want to let go. But they are ordered to return home by Kothari (the girls were in France). The girls decides to pursue them in Mumbai. Unfortunately for them, Lucky Bhai (Sanjay Dutt) is out to make their life hell and expose them to their unassuming wives. while the trio were away in France, Lucky Bhai entered their lives by befriending their wives and becoming the "defacto" Rakhi Bhai.. The guys try to convince their wives to let them get married twice.. But Lucky Bhai intervenes and thwarts their evil designs. Undeterred the guys decide to continue dating their girlfriends, but Lucky sees them together at a water park. Lucky tells their wives about their affairs, but the wives refuse to believe Lucky and have complete faith in their husbands. Lucky follows the guys to Kothari's house and meets Kothari. He learns how Kothari asked the 3 guys to woo his daughters. He takes a pic of the 3 guys and the 3 daughters with him. Meanwhile the wives and the daughters meet at a resort and start bonding at home as well. The guys try to uncover Lucky's past, but only find that he is a nationally decorated hero from Punjab, who helped capture terrorists in the state. Things take a serious turn when the guys capture Lucky and wrap him inside a coffin and throw him off a cliff to get rid of him. But Lucky survives and decides to torture the trio.. Meanwhile Kothari is pissed since the guys bought sports car on his dime to woo his daughters. The trio wants to marry the daughters and refuse to adhere to the initial agreement to break their hearts. In response Kothari goes to the wives and admits the truth. Lucky advises the wives to have their own affairs to set their husbands on the right path. But the husbands are pretty pissed to see their wives dancing with their friends.. Each complains how they tried to win their love, without success and hence were driven to cheating on them.. They decide to leave the house. The guys decide to marry the daughters. But on the happy occasion the daughters had called the wives (who are their friends) as witnesses. The whole drama plays out as the wives sign the divorce papers with their husbands and the daughters refuse to marry the guys as they feel cheated and misled. The guys are left alone. Once again the three friends commit suicide by standing on top of a ladder in the middle of 2 buildings. The wives are out there trying to stop them from committing suicide. They join them on the ladder, but they slip and are left hanging as well. Now Kothari arrives with a chainsaw and tries to cut the ladder, as he is pissed she now his daughters hate even the idea of marriage. The wives drop one by one and are saved by Lucky. Raj falls in garbage, Aryan on electric wires, Veer inside a dog van. They all learn their lesson and apologize to their wives.
