Based on the age old conflict between North and South Kolkata, Hullor is a comedy-drama that revolves around two couples and one shop. One of the couples is from North Kolkata, while the other is from South Kolkata. Add in an astrologer intent on cheating people and a devotee seeking to build a temple, and the resulting melange will keep you in splits right till the end.

Uma is a story about a young girl who is fighting a terminal disease, a father who is struggling to make his daughter`s dreams come true and about a director whose past haunts him. It starts off with Uma, a young girl brought up in Austria, being recognised with a terminal disease and goes on about how Himadri, her father takes her to Kolkata to fulfil her dream by setting up a fake Durga Puja, the most celebrated festival of the Bengalis.

A group of four friends including Ananta, Sujoy, Ananda and Rajasankar Dhol who are engaged in different professions share a close bond. Ananta, a fashion photographer lives in a rented house, which is owned by Khogen Mal; in a dramatic turn of events, all the friends are forced to live together at Ananta`s rented home. Their peaceful life is disrupted when Khogen catches them red-handed doing mischief with his third wife Tola Boudi and forces them to vacate.

The rival`s son is none other than Abhi himself, who, over a bitter incident in the family had left the village and also his childhood sweetheart Anjali. Will Abhi succeed in marrying Kajol? Or will he come face-to-face with his past, where Anjali still awaits him?

Kanamachhi stars Ankush, Abir Chatterjee, Srabanti and Sananda in leading roles. Srabanti & Ankush are journalists working for a leading newspaper. Ankush plays a photo journalist who does an investigative story that disappoints the political mafia ruling the state.
