An Indian girl who lives in Australia comes back to Karnataka to visit her mother`s grave. This is when she finds trouble and story of Ugramm begins. The movie tells the past story of the lead actor SriMurali and the present story of the lead actress Haripriya and the connection between these two stories forms the crux of the story.

Hare Rama Hare Krishna portrays an unemployed man, Anand (Sri Murali), who bribes an official for a job. When he doesn`t get the job, an angry Anand approaches a higher authority demanding that the money he paid be returned. However, he is framed by the officials and they send him to prison. Although, his fate has other things in store for him as he ends up becoming a don.
