Sardar Joginder Singh alias Sardar Saab (Jackie Shroff) and his younger brother (Guggu Gill) act as messiahs for the people suppressed by the rich, wealthy and powerful. They do not shy away from taking law and order in their own hands. Due to the nature of their work, Sardar Saab sends his son (Daljeet Kalsi) to New Zealand, who meets Mehak Arora (Neetu Singh) and falls in love with her. Daljeet and Mehak want to get married to each other and their parents before the rituals take place. Once Daljeet reaches Delhi, Sardar Saab is arrested by the police and he gets killed in a bomb blast. How Daljeet avenges his killing forms the rest of the story.

The film is a remake of a Malayalam action masala flick Pokkiri Raja. After his father disowns him, a businessman raises Surya like his own son. Years later, Surya transforms into Boss and fights for the rights of the deprived sections of society.

Tarun Chauhan, a rookie army officer undergoes ups and downs in his mission and learns the true meaning of 'war' to overcome his weaknesses. Indian Army Sepoy Tarun Chauhan is assigned to proceed to Northeastern part of India that has been rocked by riots and violence with orders to report to his superior, Havaldar Mohammed Ali. Once there, he comes to know that things can be quiet for weeks, following by sporadic violence, and casualties on both sides. His group also comes under attack by vicious terrorists, who like to cut an ear from a dead body, then leave the body as bait, in order to kill anyone who comes to the rescue. This is where Tarun makes his first kill. Then they are instructed to proceed to Bengal in order to counter Naxalities, where Tarun gets to see action almost immediately. Then war breaks out between India and Pakistan and their group is asked to travel to Kargil and guard a bridge.
