One Two Three is a comedy of three men from various parts of India who share a common name ``LAXMI NARAYAN`` due to which various confusions start and the basic plot of the film is established. The three main characters are Laxmi Narayan 1, 2 and 3. LAXMI NARAYAN 1 is played by TUSHAR KAPOOR, a young and aspiring emotional shooter from underworld whose only aim is to fulfill his mother`s dreams of becoming the most popular don. LAXMI NARAYAN 2 played by SUNIEL SHETTY is an automobile salesman from Mumbai whose only aim in life is to keep his boss happy and in course of which he becomes a confused and annoying character. LAXMI NARAYAN 3 played by PARESH sells KACHHA AND BRA in a mobile car on the streets of Chandni Chowk in Delhi. The story proceeds with the three of them reaching a single destination called Pondy for their individual work. The story now is full of fun, comedy and laughter leading to a climax most unexpected.

College-goers Rahul (Akshay Kapoor), Tanya (Tanisha Mukherjee) and Sameer "Goldie" (Yash Tonk) are members of the Kurta Gang. These three friends are also part of a love triangle: Goldie loves Tanya, who in turn loves Rahul. Tanya stutters a little. Rahul wants to become a music director. Goldie is the stylish person of the gang, although he has the habit of exaggerating a little. Even then, Goldie is an honest person at heart. Rahul is short on confidence, and it is Goldie and Tanya who support him and give him courage to perform his music in front of the college. Rahul is completely oblivious to Tanya's feelings for him. Tanya is a poet and expresses her feelings in form of poetry to Rahul, but he considers it as part of her performance and nothing serious. Goldie knew about Tanya's feelings for Rahul and accepted that he would always be Tanya's friend. The situation becomes even more complex when Sonia Kapur (Rashmi Nigam) takes admission into their college. Rahul falls in love with Sonia. Goldie tries his very best to try and get Rahul in front of Sonia and to get her to notice him. Sonia is oblivious to Rahul's efforts to impress her. All these friends continue their education in college and do not confess their love. Sonia and Rahul study at college for 3 years but Rahul does not speak to her even once. After college Sonia begins a relationship with Yash (Kabir Sadanand). Rahul moves from Sanganer to Mumbai to start his career as a music director and decides he would not meet his friends for the next 5 years or till he becomes famous. Goldie gives him his lucky coin at the train station before he leaves. Goldie, Tanya and Rahul had been friends for 15 years. As the train approaches, Goldie mentions in passing about how Tanya pines for Rahul. 5 years later, VK / Vikramaditya Kapur (Deepak Tijori) selects Rahul to direct the music for his upcoming film. Upon reaching VK's office, Rahul realizes that Sonia is VK's daughter. Sonia had spent the last 5 years studying in the US and had now returned to handle her dad's music business. Sonia has no clue that she studied in college with Rahul, and Rahul is very nervous around her. Sonia is impressed with Rahul's music. Yash is the star of VK's company and features in all of their films. Yash has given 12 flops and 6 hits in his career. VK knows Yash is no good, and he only tolerates him as Sonia is in love with Yash. Sonia finds Rahul cute and simple. Meanwhile Goldie has opened a western themed Dhaba restaurant called "Fashion Bistro". Rahul calls Goldie and he is ecstatic to receive a call from his friend. Rahul narrates how he has landed a job of Music Director in Sonia's company, but she doesn't remember him from college. Goldie comes over to Bombay to meet Rahul. Rahul is invited to dinner by VK and Sonia. But VK has to leave to attend to Yash. Rahul and Sonia end up going to a nightclub together. Then Sonia realizes that she studied with Rahul in college. The next morning, Rahul tells Goldie that Sonia kissed him on the cheeks. Goldie encourages Rahul to invite Sonia for dinner, but Rahul fumbles and invites her to his house. Rahul is a paying guest with Mrs. Malhotra (Kamini Khanna), who loves Rahul but is also very strict with him. Goldie helps Rahul with flower decorations, mouth freshener, a bottle of wine and pink theme for the house to salvage the situation. Rahul is very confident as the evening approaches but again gets very nervous as soon as Sonia enters his house. Rahul conks off after 1 glass of Goldie's cheap wine and the evening is a bust. Tanya comes to meet Rahul in Bombay. Mrs. Malhotra invites Tanya into the house with loving arms. But since Rahul is seeing Sonia, as asks Tanya to hide herself when Sonia comes over. Sonia likes Rahul's simplicity and honesty and decides to make him a star. Rahul still considers Tanya a good "friend", while she loves him dearly. VK wants Sonia to dump Yash and go with Rahul, but he also respects her wishes. VK organizes a launch party for Rahul's music. Tanya refuses to go, but Goldie comes. Goldie is a big fan of Sushmita, who is a heroine in the movie and gets chatty with her. Sonia notices this and starts questioning Goldie about who he is and who invited him to the party. Rahul refuses to defend his own friend, which hurts Goldie. Goldie doesn't let Tanya know how Rahul treated him at the party, and so Tanya keeps helping Rahul to get close to Sonia. Sonia gets angry with Rahul when he stares at a bikini clad bimbo, while on a date with her. That evening Sonia comes to meet Rahul at his house and sees Tanya. Goldie was not home. Sonia gives an ultimatum that Rahul has to choose between her and his friends. Once again Rahul fails to defend his friends. Tanya decides to leave and live in a hotel, and when Rahul goes to drop her, he sees Sonia with Yash. Goldie comes back home and yells at Rahul when he finds that Tanya has left to live in a hotel. Goldie tells Rahul that Tanya loves him dearly. Sonia gifts a new car to Rahul and wants a new beginning. Tanya comes to meet Rahul, and again encourages him to profess his love to Sonia. They agree to be friends forever. Tanya decides to leave town. That night Rahul attends the premiere of his movie, the biggest night of his life. As he walks down the red carpet, he is interviewed by reporters and all he can think of is how Tanya and Goldie played a part in his life and his success. Rahul leaves. Yash proposes to Sonia. Goldie reaches the premiere and professes his love to Sushmita. Rahul can't find Tanya at the hotel or the airport, and reaches home defeated. He finally finds Tanya at Marine drive. Rahul and Tanya unite finally.

A serial killer is around which is responsible for taking many lives including that of Malini and her boyfriend. The police are unable to comprehend especially when this killer leaves no evidence at every crime scene. On a college campus in Simla, India there are killings taking place by an unstoppable killer. The main target is a woman by the name of Mehak Gujral who has received several threatening telephone calls and has had many horrific experiences with the killer.
