A crew that reaches Skull Island to map it, is attacked by a humongous ape. The survivors then regroup to find out more about the ape, the island`s natives and underground monsters.

The film is a sci-fi and a sequel to 2011 film Rise of Planet of Apes. Only a few human survivors when threaten to destroy the Ape nation led by Caesar, the war breaks. It is the fittest who will survive.

An origin story in the true sense of the word, RISE OF THE APES is set in present day San Francisco. The film shows mankind`s hubris leads to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. The Oscar-winning visual effects house WETA Digital will employ photo-realistic apes rather than costumed actors.
