Jack calls in a favor with Sheeran, who arranges for him to perform at Wembley Stadium. Jack confesses to the crowd that he plagiarized the music and that he loves Ellie, and he has Rocky upload the songs free on the internet, sabotaging the record release and enraging Debra. Jack and Ellie return to her home and finally make love. In the morning, Jack equates his feelings for Ellie with how Harry Potter must have felt when he defeated Lord Voldemort, but Ellie has no idea who he is talking about, much to Jack's chagrin. They decide to start a family, and Jack gives up stardom to become a music teacher.

In 1893 Marie was frequently rejected for funding due to her attitude. Marie met Pierre Curie (Sam Riley) in 1894 at a random street when she ran into him and Pierre saw her book and saw she is interested in radioactivity. Marie is a professor at a French university and shares lab space with Gabriel Lippmann (Simon Russell Beale). But she is not respected as she is a female and Polish, and her experiments and lab equipment are constantly moved without her agreement. Marie's sister advises her to apologize, but Marie is stubborn and won't. Marie runs into Pierre again at the theatre and is shocked to know that Pierre knows her name. She is one of the only 23 female scientists in Paris, has read her paper on magnetic properties of steel, and has heard of her fight with Lippmann. Pierre is a renowned scientist and offers his lab for experiments to Marie. She is insistent that she won't be Pierre's mistress and won't accept interference in her experiments. Soon, she figures that the Uranium Ore is more potent than the element itself and theorizes the existence of a new element. Marie is afraid of hospitals as her mother died in one and doesn't accompany Pierre to the Paris hospital for an equipment that will help them identify elements in microscopic quantities. Marie theorizes that Uranium atoms are giving off some sort of energy and transforming into a new element. Up till that point, the uranium effect was considered a chemical reaction with the air. Soon, Pierre marries Marie. Paul Langevin (Aneurin Barnard) is their lab associate. She continues her experiments with more bigger quantities of Uranium Ore. Soon, she is pregnant. She gives birth to Irene Curie (Anya Taylor-Joy). Marie and Pierre are able to isolate a pin-prick of Radium & Polonium from 4 tons of uranium ore. Marie also coins the term "Radioactivity" for the rays coming from these "unstable" atoms. The results are accepted by the scientific community and Pierre makes professor at a prestigious university. Marie is pregnant again. She sleeps with a vial of radium in her bed and soon Pierre falls sick. Pierre convinces Marie not to patent Radium so people can discover the possibilities of their new science. Marie sees Radium being used for X rays and even as a possible cure for cancer. Radium is soon used in a series of commercial products. Pierre takes Marie to a seance where it is used to attempt to contact the dead, but Marie disapproves of spiritualism and the idea of an afterlife after the death of her mother in Poland. Pierre develops a bad rash on his wrist from exposure to Radium and Marie is pregnant again. Ève Curie (Cara Bossom) is born. In 1903 Marie and Pierre win the Nobel prize for discovery of radioactivity. Pierre talks about the dangers of radioactivity (which ultimately lead to the atomic bomb being dropped on Hiroshima in 1945). Marie is super angry at Pierre for going to the ceremony alone (Marie had just given birth) and she thinks Pierre stole her brilliance and made it his own. Pierre's coughing grows and he begs Marie to leave Paris, but she won't budge. Pierre has a coughing fit on the street and runs into a horse carriage and is crushed underneath. Marie is inconsolable. Marie is offered Pierre's job at the university, but she declines at first. Paul advises her to accept Pierre's death and move on. Marie initially dismisses concerns that her elements are toxic but increasing numbers of people die from serious health conditions after exposure to radium. Marie is defenseless and starts an affair with a considerate Paul. Although she receives Pierre's professorship at the Sorbonne, the French nationalist press reports the details of her affair with Langevin and she is harassed by xenophobic mobs due to her Polish origins. A few months later Paul confirms studies that have linked Radioactivity as the source of cancer. Soon, Paul's wife releases details of their scandal to the press. Marie is disgraced and asked to leave France. Paul leaves Marie under threat from his own wife. Marie returns to the house where she attended the seance and tearfully begs her friend, Loie Fuller, who was there to try to use Radium to contact Pierre. Marie wins the Nobel prize again in 1911 for chemistry. She defies the committee's instructions not to travel to Stockholm and at her award ceremony receives a standing ovation from the entire audience. Irene grows up and is a nurse in WW1. she asks her mother to make the war her own war and do something about it. Marie approaches Lippmann for funds to device a mobile X-Ray unit that could determine if troops need amputation at the fronts, before their limbs are chopped off. Marie advises Irene to stay away from radiation as its effects are not fully understood yet. Lippmann again denies Marie, but this she threatens to go to the press and sell her pure gold Nobel medals to raise funds for her machines. She gets her funding. Irene begins dating Frederic Joliot, and Marie initially disapproves of that relationship because of their joint research into induced radioactivity, later asking Irene not to take part in Frederic's future work on this because of possible effects on her health. Although Irene does not heed her mother, together they go to the Western Front together to run the X-ray machine. The machines work and start savings lives and limbs on the battlefield. Scenes of Marie's life are interwoven with scenes depicting the future impact of her discoveries, including external beam radiotherapy at a hospital in Cleveland in 1956, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a nuclear bomb test in Nevada in 1961, and the Chernobyl disaster in 1986. As she dies in 1934, she sees visions of these events before awakening in a hospital room. Pierre arrives and they leave the hospital together. Before the film's credits, the Curies' accomplishments are detailed, including their mobile unit which provided X-Ray for more than a million men during the war "saving countless lives", their research would be used to create radiotherapy, and the Joliot-Curies would discover artificial or induced radioactivity in 1935. Irene went on to win the Nobel prize with her husband for discovery of artificial radioactivity. In France, to this day, radioactive treatment is called Curietherapie. The movie's last image is of a photo showing Marie Curie's attendance at the 1927 Solvay Conference with many other celebrated physicists, including Albert Einstein.

Even more alone, Poppy starts playing with her lighter, setting a curtain alight. Hearing footsteps, she quickly puts out the fire and runs off. A few minutes later, she looks out her window to see a fire, and wakes Kate and the rest of the school. After the fire is put out, Freddie looks at the damage and finds her lighter. He gives it back to her, refusing to listen to what happened. Poppy goes to the headmistress and confesses. Poppy also asks Mrs. Kingsley to give a letter to Freddie apologizing and confessing her feelings about everything. While waiting for the Honour Court which will decide if she should be expelled, she finds a picture of her Mum and the lacrosse team. Poppy sits with the picture when Freddie finds her crying. After a heart to heart, they are friends again. At the Honour Court, Poppy tells her story while her room-mates find out Poppy was out with Freddie when the email was sent, and Harriet was the only one around. Going to the court,they get the whole school to confess they were present at the fire. Harriet then lets slip about Poppy's lighter being used to start the fire, which only Poppy and Freddie knew about, and accidentally confesses to restarting the fire after Poppy successfully put it out. Poppy is innocent. The movie is left off where Harriet is expelled, and Poppy will remain at Abbey Mount.

The water bailiff, (Ian Holm), guardian and protector of Loch Ness, does all he can to ensure that Dempsey fails in his search and leaves the Loch empty-handed. After the sonar equipment is sabotaged by the locals, Dempsey confronts the water bailiff, who insists that the mystery of Loch Ness will never be destroyed. Dempsey challenges him to "come out and watch him". After scanning the entire Loch and finding nothing, Dempsey declares it is the end of the Loch Ness monster, leaving Adrian crushed, but the subsequent argument between them ends on a slightly re-conciliatory note when Dempsey tells Adrian that, despite his skepticism, he did want to find the monster. Throughout the film, Laura overcomes her initial dislike of Dempsey, and they quickly grow attracted to each other. Isabel possesses a second sight and is able to foretell certain things, such as her mother's growing affection for Dempsey. The day before Dempsey's departure from Loch Ness, Adrian brings him the remainder of Dr. Abernathy's possessions, including his camera. The next morning Adrian is awakened by Dempsey, who says they are going back out for another sweep of the Loch. He reveals that after developing the pictures on Abernathy's camera, the last picture on the roll shows a large, rhomboid shaped flipper submerging into the water. After tracking a 40 ft object chasing a school of salmon, it collides with the boat, sinking it and sending Dempsey and Adrian into water. Dempsey nearly drowns but somehow surfaces after a large dark object is seen moving in the water behind his quickly sinking body. After returning to the inn, he his ecstatic, claiming to have seen the creature while under the water. After Dempsey is beaten up by Andy McLean for "moving in on his woman", Isabel makes him a get-well card which features a drawing of what she calls a "water Kelpie." Dempsey realizes that Isabel, too, has seen the monster, as her drawing of the creature's fins are identical to the picture taken by Abernathy. After Dempsey promises to buy her the red bicycle that she has always wanted, Isabel agrees to show him the monster. Later that day, Isabel leads Dempsey to an underground cavern beneath Urquhart Castle and warns him not to use lights as it scares the creatures. After a startling encounter with some sea otters, Dempsey prepares to leave, humiliated. Suddenly a Plesiosaur rises from the water and Isabel is shown to know it very well, even being able to communicate with it through a series of whistle-like calls. Responding to the calls, a second creature appears, the two animals apparently being mates. While in an astonished euphoria, Dempsey ignores Isabel's warnings and takes a photograph, the flash alarming the creatures, causing them to dive back into the water and cause havoc. Isabel falls into the water and almost drowns, and Dempsey is saved by the furious water bailiff. Dempsey develops the photographs and faces Laura's wrath about him using Isabel and nearly getting her killed. Laura refuses to have anything to do with Dempsey or his discovery of the monster, despite his claims that when he reveals the existence of the creatures, Laura's business will boom as people from all over the world come to the Loch to see the monsters. Laura evicts Jonathan and Isabel is deeply hurt that Dempsey used her in such a way. Upset, but not about to give up his chance at vindication, he leaves for London to attend a press conference where he plans to reveal the photos of the monsters to the world. The water bailiff follows him on the train, imploring him not to reveal the truth of Loch Ness. Dempsey insists that exposure will be best for the creatures, claiming that science will be able to care for the creatures professionally. Scornful, the water bailiff points out the irony in that it was not science that helped his "discovery", but a little girl. He also reminds Dempsey of the harm done to the planet because of science, and that these creatures have survived unaided since before the ice age. At the conference, Dempsey is unable to go through with it and replaces the real photos with Isabel's drawing of the "kelpie", causing an uproar while he discreetly leaves. On the way out, he tells a baffled Adrian that he had the pictures made by computer before he ever came to Scotland. Adrian, knowing the truth, understandingly plays along. Meanwhile, on a bus headed back to Loch Ness, the water bailiff discovers the pictures inside his suitcase and is moved almost to the point of tears. Dempsey returns to the inn and reunites with Laura, along with the red bicycle he promised Isabel. In Loch Ness, the Plesiosaur pair is seen swimming underwater with a baby alongside.

While suffering from glandular fever, 11-year-old Anna Madden draws a house. When she falls asleep, she has disturbing dreams in which she finds herself inside the house she has drawn. After she draws a face at the window, in her next dream she finds Marc, a boy who suffers with muscular dystrophy, living in the house. She learns from her doctor that Marc is a real person. She visits the house in her dreams several times, each time adding new things to her drawing which also appear in her dream. First she draws stairs so that she can go up and visit Marc, then adding more items to his room and a fruit tree to the front yard. In the real world, Anna's relationship with her mother is strained by Anna's lying, as well as the lingering pain she feels from her father's long absences for work and his alcoholism. Anna sketches her father into the drawing so that he can help carry Marc away, but she inadvertently gives him an angry expression which she then crosses out, and the father appears in the dream as a furious, blinded figure with scratch marks over his eyes. After hiding in a closet with Marc, he suggests Anna lie down and mimic the motions she would use to grab the drawing in real life and tear the part of the drawing containing her father out. Anna does so, barely avoiding lighting the paper on fire, and tears her father out of the drawing in her sleep. This does not work, and her father breaks into the closet and carries Anna away before beating her in the chest repeatedly while shouting "Do you know who I am?" at her. Marc musters the strength to attack Anna's father with a hammer, destroying him. Anna wakes up in the hospital, her health having taken a serious turn in her sleep. It is implied that her dream father's attack was mimicking the actions of the ambulance staff administering a heart massage. Anna's doctor tells her that Marc is 'getting better' but Anna sees through her deception, saying that she knows Marc is dying. The doctor is skeptical of Anna's knowledge, but she provides information she could not have know otherwise. Anna asks for her drawing supplies to be brought to the hospital. While Anna recovers in the hospital, her father returns with her mother to discuss going away on holiday, though Anna is not receptive to her father or the idea of a holiday. She draws a new room for Marc with nicer accommodations, and adds a pencil so that they could add anything they needed while in their dream. When she falls asleep she finds Marc at the lighthouse, seemingly cured of his paralysis and in much better spirits. They spend time together playing on a nearby hill and share a first kiss. Soon after, they discuss drawing a ladder to get down from the cliff to the shore. Marc instead suggests that Anna draw a helicopter, which she declines, saying she doesn't know how. Marc says he can, but insists that he must do it alone in the lighthouse. Anna reluctantly agrees, and Marc enters the lighthouse as Anna tells him "Don't go without me." She soon wakes from hear dream without finding out if Marc had drawn the helicopter. Anna is discharged from the hospital soon after. Her father reveals to her that he has been given a job in the home office and will not have to go away any more, though Anna still acts coldly towards him. Her father tells her that Anna's doctor said that Marc has passed away. Anna says she already knew. The family goes away on a holiday to the seaside, where Anna is still saddened over Marc's death, though her relationship with her father improves somewhat. After father opens the window in her hotel room, Anna sees the lighthouse from her dream on a nearby cliff. She runs from the hotel by herself, overjoyed, but when she arrives at the lighthouse and calls for Marc repeatedly she finds the door locked and Marc absent. She sits on the step, upset, but finds a note from Marc under a nearby rock. The note shows him and his helicopter, along with a message saying that he can't wait any longer, but he will come back for her if she waits. Anna runs to the nearby cliff and calls to Marc. A helicopter arrives, dropping a ladder. Anna hears Marc calling for her, but then yelling to be careful and to stay away from the cliff. As Anna reaches for the ladder Marc continues to yell for her to be careful, until the helicopter flies away and Anna's mother grabs before she can fall off the cliff. The movie ends with Anna in her mother and father's arms, having come to terms with Marc's death, her relationship with her parents repaired.
