Penny (Rebel Wilson) has been a small-time con artist in Australia. She attracts young men like Jeremy (Timothy Simons) to blind dates using photos of her "fake sister" Madison, who is really hot. Penny then attends the blind date pretending to "scout" for right guys for Madison. She then asks for money ($500) as Madison is conscious about her small breasts and wants a breast enlargement surgery for her own self confidence. But Penny is chased by the police due to the complaint of a previous victim, and she decides that she needs a few weeks away till things cool down in Australia. Josephine (Anne Hathaway) is a sophisticated con artist with employees under her wing who cons some of the largest billionaires of the country. Josephine hangs around the casinos in the South of France and pretends to have won a lottery of $87 million. Josephine attracts a Danish billionaire named Mathias (Casper Christensen) who has lost big time at the tables (and the casino is no longer extending him anymore credit and won't take jewelry as collateral), with a large cache of her chips and pretending to be new to gambling. The billionaire gives her a large jewelry to buy her chips. She is then "arrested" by the police inspector Brigitte (Ingrid Oliver) (in reality her employees), for being a con artist and for having stolen the chips from an old man named Albert (Nicholas Woodeson). Josephine has to return the jewelry but swaps it for a fake. Their idol is the legendary con artist "Medusa" whose real identity is unknown. The two con artists finally meet on their way to the French Riviera (on a train to Beaumont-Sur-Mer), while Penny tries to persuade a man to buy her a free dinner (pretending that she is trying to raise money for her sister who has been kidnapped). Penny and Josephine are in the same compartment for the night, and Penny admits that she is a con artist, when Josephine asks about her sick sister. At first Josephine convinces Penny that Beaumont-Sur-Mer is a lesbian town, and that she should try her schemes at the next town on the railway line. But the next day, Josephine sees Penny ride into town with a billionaire named Gregor, who was supposed to be Josephine's next target. Penny gets arrested based on a complain by the conned billionaire Gregor (it was a fake arrest orchestrated by Josephine designed to scare Penny away from her town). Josephine bails her out (by taking $8000 of Penny's money to "bribe" the police) and insists her to leave the country as Gregor is a member of the Russian mafia. Josephine drops Penny at the airport where Mathias sees them talking. Mathias confronts Penny on the plane and wants his real bracelet back. Mathias says that his bracelet is worth $500 K and now his wife is filing for divorce as he doesn't have it. Mathias asks Penny is the police woman is part of the hustle. Penny finds out she was conned by Josephine, and she seems to be angered and thinks of revenge. Penny returns to the town asks Josephine to take her under her wing and teach her how to con the way she does. Josephine has no option as Penny threatens to expose her. It works at first as Josephine trains Penny on the physical and psychological aspects of being a female con artist. Josephine entices a Texan billionaire Howard (Dean Norris) to get engaged on the pretext that she is a bankrupt Royal Princess. But then, after rings are exchanged, she introduces Howard to her insane sister Hortence, and says that it is a family tradition that once the marriage is consummated, the younger sister gets to bed the groom or to engage him in a duel. Howard bolts, leaving his expensive ring behind. They repeat the con on multiple rich billionaires. But Josephine refuses to pay Penny any money for her work. Penny leaves to start out on her own and starts to cut into Josephine's con schemes before she can lure the victims. The two try to trap a millionaire at the same time but plot fails miserably. The two then decide to compete to trick a rich technology wizard, Thomas Westerburg (Alex Sharp) out of $500K (which is also Penny's entire net worth). The loser has to leave the country for good. Penny acts as a blind girl (blindness caused due to psychological reasons) who needs 500,000 USD for a corrective surgery that can only be performed by a doctor she made up (Dr Schafhausen). Josephine learns her plot and decides to take the role of Dr Schafhausen who just happens to be visiting the French riviera for a holiday. Thomas begs Josephine to take up Penny's case. Josephine uses every trick in her book to torture Penny in front of Thomas and to get her to give up the act. Schafhausen tells Thomas not to give Penny any money, as that would make her accept that she is truly disabled and then no amount of treatment could help her. Thomas just keeps going along with the flow. Schafhausen tries to shock Penny through various methods (blowing in her face, making her eat toilet dipped food, pretending to hit her with her own walking stick, running into a door, making her run long distances, seducing Thomas in front of Penny) to get her to admit that she can see and is cured. Penny begins to fall for Thomas when she sees that he is a nice guy who wants to create a new application, and both try to get hands on the prize. Thomas tells Penny that he was bought by seed investors for $ 1 MM (for his existing application) and he only has $400 K in the bank and will borrow $ 100 K from his Nana to help Penny. Penny is moved on hearing that Thomas would go broke to help out a stranger. That night Josephine tries to seduce Thomas, but Thomas sends her to a shower and robs her before locking her in his room. Then Thomas gets to Penny, and she gives him USD 500 K as investment in his company. Thomas leaves just before Josephine arrives and reveals that's Thomas was the con. Thomas tricks both women into giving him money for his app, revealing himself to be the grandson of a notorious con artist named Medusa. Thomas meets the ladies again sometime later and proposes that they become a team and together they form a stronger con group.

The journey of a soldier who nearly escapes death at the battle ground and brings back victory to his country.

The film takes place over one weekend. While the mother and her new husband attend a 'couple's retreat' she gives her son to his biological father. The mother reluctantly hands her son over to a man she divorced because of his alcoholism. All Anthony (the son) knows about his father is what he was told by his wife Bonnie. Once alone, Walt (the carpenter father) and Anthony have a series of adventures (the father's truck breaks down, he is evicted from his home) and misadventures (his carpentry tools are stolen). The tools were stolen while Walt was in a bar. This only confirms what Anthony was told by his mother. That is where the father/son escapade starts. The movie follows their efforts to get the tools back. Walt and Anthony run into a weird cast of characters in their adventure to retrieve the tools. The trip allows them to form a bond where none existed before. At the end of the weekend, father, son, and mother have all grown as individuals but the father/son relationship has developed the most.

Charles Farmer, played by Billy Bob Thornton, is a soft-spoken, wellliked, small town family man who has spent years building a rocket ship in his barn. As he nears completion of his project, however, several complications appear in his trajectory in the form of government interference and economic problems. Once the media got a hold of the story, the money woes seemed to make less sense to me. Look for Bruce Willis as a former astronaut, who visits Farmer. We spend the film watching and wondering whether these issues can be overcome and allow him to launch, and whether or not he should even try. Some time after their adventures on Spooky Island: Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo attend the opening of an exhibition at the Coolsonian Criminology Museum, which commemorates their past mysteries with displays of each culprit's monster costume. However, an individual known as the Evil Masked Figure interrupts the event, stealing two costumes using a reanimated version of the Pterodactyl Ghost. Journalist Heather Jasper Howe ridicules the entire gang, starting a smear campaign against them, taking their spoken words out of context. Concluding that an old vengeful enemy is the mastermind, the gang begins revisiting old cases. Dismissing the former Pterodactyl Ghost, Doctor Jonathan Jacobo, due to his presumed death during a failed prison escape three years ago, they suspect Jeremiah Wickles, the Black Knight Ghost and Jacobo's recently-released cellmate. Scooby and Shaggy, after overhearing the others criticizing their tendency to bungle every operation and especially their most recent failure to secure the Pterodactyl Ghost at the museum, resolve to better themselves and act like real detectives. Going to Wickles' residence, the group falls through a trapdoor and into a cage targeting unwelcome callers, but escape due to Daphne's cosmetics. Inside, the gang find an ancient Celtic text that serves as an instruction manual on how to create monsters by combining magic and science. Scooby and Shaggy find a note inviting Wickles to visit the Faux Ghost nightclub and are attacked by the Black Knight Ghost, but escape after fending it off. Before fleeing, the rest of the gang had previously discovered through the book found in Wickles' mansion that the key ingredient to creating the monsters was a substance called "randomonium", the byproduct of certain silver mines such as Coolsville's old mining town. Daphne, Velma, and Fred go to the museum accompanied by curator Patrick Wisely, but discover that the rest of the costumes have been stolen. Heather Jasper Howe turns the city against them. Following the lead from Wickles' note, Scooby and Shaggy don disguises and sneak into the Faux Ghost, only to discover it's a hangout for all the villains Mystery Inc. had previously unmasked. After speaking to Wickles, they learn that he has abandoned his criminal ways. The duo are eventually discovered and they escape through a garbage chute. On their way out, they spot Patrick uncharacteristically threatening someone who appears to be a member of his staff, ordering him to find out who vandalized his museum. Escaping an awkward interaction with Patrick, Scooby and Shaggy spot Wickles leaving the club and follow him. Daphne, Velma, and Fred go to the mines, finding Wickles presenting plans to turn it into a summer camp for children to a group of investors. When they confront Wickles, he states that he and Jacobo hated each other for various petty reasons and that he has no connection to the museum robberies. The gang then finds a secret laboratory where the costumes are vitalized as real supernatural creatures. Shaggy and Scooby play around with the machine's control panel, inadvertently bringing several costumes to life, and the gang flees with the panel as the Evil Masked Figure terrorizes the city. Escaping to their old high school clubhouse, the gang realizes they can reverse the control panel's power by altering its wiring, consequently destroying the monsters. However, Captain Cutler emerges from the nearby lake, forcing the gang to retreat to the mines, encountering the various monsters along the way. When Velma tries to give Scooby and Shaggy the control panel, they refuse to take it, believing that they will once again ruin everything and admit their feelings of inadequacy compared to the rest of the gang. Velma convinces them they are fine as they are and that they have both been heroes in their own way all along. After escaping the Skeleton Men, Velma finds a shrine dedicated to Jacobo built by Patrick. Eventually, Patrick finds her and proves his innocence by helping her after a catwalk gives way underneath her, but he is captured by the Pterodactyl Ghost. The gang finally confronts the Evil Masked Figure as the Tar Monster captures everyone except Scooby, who uses a fire extinguisher to freeze its body. He reconnects the control panel and activates it, turning the monsters back into their original forms. The gang takes the Evil Masked Figure to the authorities and he is revealed to be Howe. When asked about Howe's reason for committing her crimes, Velma suddenly pulls her face off, revealing her to actually be Jonathan Jacobo, alive and well. Velma explains that she realized Jacobo was still alive after finding a newspaper clipping showing him in front of the museum, the construction of which had begun a year after his apparent death. Having miraculously survived his prison escape, Jacobo sought to get revenge on the gang by discrediting them using his Heather Jasper Howe persona and later ultimately defeat them with his newfound way to create the monsters. Jacobo is soon arrested once again alongside his cameraman accomplice, Ned, and the gang are praised as heroes once more and celebrate their victory at the Faux Ghost with Wickles and the reformed criminals.

Ulysses Everett McGill (George Clooney), a suave, fast-taking convict, escapes from incarceration at a chain gang in rural Mississippi in 1937 during the Great Depression. He is chained to two other prisoners, slow-witted Delmar (Tim Blake Neslon) and hot-tempered Pete (John Turturro), so the three must escape together. Everett convinces them that he has hidden $1.2 million after robbing an armored car, and promises to split it with them. They hitch a ride with an elderly blind man on a railway handcar, and he foretells that they will indeed find a treasure, though it may not be the one they seek. They travel on foot to visit Pete's cousin, Washington Hogwallop, who removes their shackles, gives them new clothes, and allows them to sleep in his barn for the night. However, the trio is awakened by the authorities, led by the partly-blinded World War I veteran Sheriff Cooley (Daniel Von Bargen) after Hogwallop had turned them in for the reward. The barn is set ablaze, but Everett, Pete, and Delmar escape with the help of Hogwallop's rambunctious young son (who drives them out of the fiery barn in a car). They continue their journey, and encounter a religious congregation in the midst of a mass baptism. Pete and Delmar are drawn in and are baptized as well, but Everett resists. They later pick up a hitchhiking young black guitarist, named Tommy Johnson (Chris Thomas King), who claims he sold his soul to the devil in exchange for musical talent. They hear that the nearby WEZY radio station pays people to sing into a can, so they pay a visit to the blind disc jockey (Stephen Root), and sing a version of "Man of Constant Sorrow" with Tommy accompanying them. Calling themselves 'The Soggy Bottom Boys', they are paid $40 in cash and leave satisfied. However, unbeknownst to them, their record becomes wildly popular around the state, with no one knowing the identity of the band. That night, the shadowy Sheriff Cooley and police track them down and find their car near their campsite. Everett, Pete, and Delmar part ways with Tommy as they escape. The next day, they meet famed robber George 'Babyface' Nelson (Michael Badalucco), on the run from police, and accompany him in robbing a bank. After spending the night at a campsite, Babyface gives them a share of the stolen loot and departs. The trio encounters three sirens: beautiful women washing clothes in the river, and are seduced by them. Delmar and Everett discover the next morning that Pete has disappeared, and Delmar believes the women had turned him into a toad (which was found in Pete's abandoned clothes). Carrying "Pete" in a shoe box, Delmar and Everett go to a restaurant for breakfast where they meet Big Dan Teague (John Goodman), a one-eyed Bible salesman. Thinking that their box contains money, Big Dan lures them to a field for an advanced tutorial on salesmanship. He violently beats the two men, kills the toad after finding no cash, and steals their car and what money they have on them. Bruised and defeated, Everett and Delmar arrive at Everett's hometown, where he attempts to speak to his estranged wife, Penny (Holly Hunter), mother of his seven daughters. He finds that Penny is engaged to Vernon T. Waldrip, the campaign manager for Homer Stokes (Wayne Duvall), who is running for governor against the grouchy elderly incumbent, Pappy O'Daniel (Charles Durning). Penny refuses to take Everett back, and was so ashamed of his arrest that she told their daughters he was hit by a train and killed. Rejected, Everett and Delmar attend a movie, where a prison chain gang is in the audience. Pete, it turns out, was turned into the police by the Sirens, and is once again in chains. In the theater, Pete advises his friends to abandon their quest, as it is a "bushwhack." That night, Everett and Delmar stealthily break him out of jail. Pete tearfully confesses that, after threatened with death by the authorities, he revealed their plans to find the armored car loot for Sheriff Cooley, whom they finally learn is the one who has been hunting them across the state. However, Everett reveals that he fabricated the story to entice Pete and Delmar to escape with him. Everett had truthfully been arrested for practicing law without a license, and was determined to escape when he heard his wife planned to remarry. If caught, the trio could face an additional 50 years in jail. An enraged Pete tackles Everett. The three stumble upon a Ku Klux Klan rally in a nearby field. Shocked, they see that Tommy Johnson has been captured and that the Klan is preparing to hang him. The trio disguise themselves as color guard members and attempt to rescue Tommy, but are confronted by Big Dan Teague, a member in attendance. The red-robed Grand Wizard, it so happens, is candidate for governor Homer Stokes. After a scuffle, Everett, Pete, and Delmar topple a huge fiery crucifix onto Big Dan, presumably killing him, and escape with Tommy. The four men arrive at a campaign dinner, disguised by long false beards. Pretending to be the hired band, they slip onstage and entertain (Delmar sings an impressive version of "In the Jailhouse Now") while Everett attempts to speak to Penny again. When the men launch into "Man of Constant Sorrow", they watch in awe as the entire audience rises to its feet and cheers, recognizing them as the elusive Soggy Bottom Boys. However, Homer Stokes arrives and tries to reveal them as the men who disrupted the lynch mob in performance of its duties. The townspeople are outraged at Homer's confessed racism, and literally ride him out on a rail. Everett, Pete, Delmar, and Tommy resume playing, and a delighted (and victorious) Pappy O'Daniel joins them onstage and grants them an official pardon. After the event, Penny takes Everett back, but demands that he return to their old cabin and retrieve her wedding ring. The four men depart quickly, as the cabin is in the valley that is due to be flooded the following day. They briefly see Babyface Nelson again, re-captured by police, but in extremely high spirits, happy at the thought of being executed in the electric chair. The men arrive at the cabin the next morning, but to their horror find that Sheriff Cooley and his posse have caught up with them and his men have already dug their graves. As the authorities loop nooses over a tree branch, Everett drops to his knees and prays that he might see his daughters again. At that moment, the valley is flooded. The cabin is destroyed, and Everett, Pete, Delmar, and Tommy surface on the newly-made lake. They retrieve the sought-after ring from a floating roll top desk, and return to town. Shortly afterwards, Everett is happily reunited with Penny and his children. The family is taking a walk through the town when Penny remarks that the ring Everett brought her is the wrong one. She firmly asserts to a frustrated Everett that he must find the original ring (now at the bottom of a lake). Their daughters sing the hymn Angel Band as they cross paths with the elderly handcar operator who had predicted Everett's fate.
