This movie is based on Bharat Rajpurohit (born April 6, 1944), better known as Charles Sobhraj, a French serial killer of Indian origin, who preyed on Western tourists throughout Southeast Asia during the 1970s.

Suresh 'Suru' Mukund (Varun Dhawan) wants to be a big dancer to fulfill his mother Durgadevi's (Prachi Shah) wish, for which he is supported by his best friend Vernon Monteiro, a pizza delivery boy. Vinita "Vinnie" Sharma, (Shraddha Kapoor) wants to be the best hip-hop dancer. In her time Durgadevi was a Padmashree award winner and a noted artist in the field of dance. Childhood friends from suburban Nalasopara, Mumbai, they form a team called the Mumbai Stunners and participate in a national level competition "Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin" where they are disqualified from the grand finale as their moves are revealed to be copied from the performance act of the "Philippine All Stars" and the judges term them cheaters as Suresh and Vernon had claimed that they were the original choreographers of the routine. After the team is disqualified from the competition, and everyone departs to search for jobs. Suru returns to work in a bar as a waiter, Vinnie rejoins a beauty parlor and Vernon (Sushant Pujari) gets back as a delivery boy where, time and again, they are insulted as cheaters by their customers, their families and even their own friends. The departure of angry teammates adds injury to insult, and nothing is set to be corrected. Suru hopes to remove the negative tag by planning to win a grandeur hip-hop competition in Las Vegas. The competition is 3 months away and Suru plans to assemble a new squad for the same. Suru is adamant that he does not want to wait another year for his next shot at redemption. One day Suru was serving drinks at the restaurant when he watches Vishnu (Prabhudeva) dance in the bar. Vishnu is an accomplished dancer, and Suru convinces him repeatedly to be their choreographer for the upcoming Las Vegas competition. Vishnu was drunk that night, and Suru drops him home. So, the next morning, Suru brings Vinnie, Raghav, Jack (Jack Gill) and Vernon with him to meet Vishnu. They see that Vishnu had mapped out the entire competition on his wall and was extremely well versed with every aspect of it. The team is convinced that Vishnu is the right person to lead them into the competition. Vishnu refuses to train the crew, but Suru is adamant that Vishnu is the man who can train them and help them regain their lost glory. Over the next few days, the crew accompanies Vishnu everywhere to try and convince him to join their crew. Vishnu still refuses to train the crew as he calls them cheaters. Suru admits that they are cheaters but also adds that everyone deserves a second chance. Vishnu asks Suru to arrange Rs 22.6 Lakhs, the expenses for Vegas. Suru says that his dance bar owner Shetty Anna had promised to sponsor the squad and hence the funding is arranged. They audition for people to form a new team, but due to the cheaters tag, they get the most hopeless dancers. But at the end walks in D/Dharmesh who knew Vishnu from before. D then brings in Vinod. The next day Suru's old crew walks in as even they want a shot at redemption. The team starts their preparations for the Bangalore qualifiers, and the team even puts together the travel money for their expenses. They visit the qualifiers in Bangalore, where they are insulted as cheaters, but manage to win it after Vishnu begs the audience for one last chance for the team. Although things are fine, Suru is broken when Shetty Anna (Murli Sharma), the owner of the bar where he is employed, refuses to provide him financial support extending to Rs 25 Lakhs, something he had earlier publicly promised to Suru at the time of the "Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin" finale. Suru says that even if the team finishes 3rd in Vegas, he would be able to return Anna's money. Suru leaves the place, angry at Anna's insulting language for Vinnie. Vishnu gets angry at Suru's inability to arrange team funds. Vishnu is livid that his time has been wasted, and Suru had promised that funding would be his responsibility. However, Vishnu manages to get the money from Raghav Crocxz's (Raghav Juyal) uncle who he convinces, after Suru loses hope. Later they prepare to go to Las Vegas, but Vinod (Punit Pathak), a deaf-mute dancer, learns that Vishnu has ulterior motives to go to Vegas, and, as a matter of fact, he had deliberately impressed Suru and friends to procure a way out for his plan to come to the US. Vishnu had heard Suru talk about the Vegas competition and made sure that Suru and the crew begged him to join them. Vishnu had been trying to get to the US for the past 8 years and only now was he able to succeed. Vishnu tells Vinod that once he is in Vegas, he will not care about the team and will only focus on what he has to do. In Las Vegas they win the qualifiers. Since the boys were spending the money without restraint, Vinnie hands over all the remaining funds to Vishnu for safekeeping. Later Vishnu leaves the hotel with team money to meet his son Manu (Jineet Rath), whose mother, Swati (Tisca Chopra) is married to another man and has moved on in life. He talks to Manu and leaves with a contented heart. In the meantime, Vinnie gets injured due to excessive rehearsal and is replaced by Olive (Lauren Gottlieb), and Vishnu discovers this while thanking friend Gopi (Ganesh Acharya), who works in a bar-cum-hotel. At the same time, Suru is enraged when he finds Vishnu missing and tries to proceed with jam sessions all on his own, but in vain. Vishnu returns while trying to save the day for Suru from the German team as they get into a fight, later admitting he had made a 'mistake' leaving without permission although he didn't want to lose a family he had yearned to create in years. He apologizes for his behavior. Suru, however, reaffirms Vishnu to be the team's choreographer and they reconcile, and the team enters the finals. Across rehearsals, Olive gets close to Suru, and a jealous Vinnie finally confronts Suru, who initially finds it difficult to confess his love for her as they had been best friends from childhood but eventually gets together with her. Although Olive has feelings for Suru, an in-person conversation with Vinnie assures Olive that Suru had that inherent charm with nothing to do about his sweetness, and Olive agrees to continue with the Indian Stunners after Vinnie recovers. The team enters the final, where Vinod's health worsens during an "assemblage" by the team, and the formation suddenly breaks down even as his friend D / Dharmesh (Dharmesh Yelande), who knew about his tuberculosis problem, tries to support him. Everyone has almost given up after the accident when Vinod tries to encourage Suru, who forgoes the accident, and the others return to make the formation with success with Vinod at the bottom. Although unable to win the competition, they win the hearts of millions, with Suru lending a voiceover narrative about his mother's motivational lessons on dance.

Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji is a slice of life film revolving around three regular guys, Naren, Milind Kelkar and Abhay and their comical encounters with love! This film takes a funny look at love and the extent people will go to avoid it or achieve it!

Maanav is a struggling filmmaker who does not want to compromise on his script. His girlfriend Ruchi is a successful film editor who arranges for him to meet Nitin, a producer. Nitin likes the script but is not very sure of its box office potential. Maanav then suggests a story from the Panchtantra: A woman is caught red-handed with her lover by her husband and yet, she manages to wriggle out of it scot-free! Nitin loves the story but finds it too short for a feature film. Maanav then creates three more stories based on the same premise: in a way, the Panchantra story travels in different versions to the modern times through the film. The four stories are woven together by a common story. Mirch itself echoes this structure, with four stories mingling with the main narrative.

The story of the sequel takes place 6 years after the action of the first film. After his marriage with Ashwini, Varun (Nagesh Kukunoor) decides to stay in India. He starts a Call Centre while Ashwini (Jyoti Dogra) is contemplating starting her own clinic. Life in India is chaotic and not as organized as it is in the states. This includes religious camps playing loud music just outside the apartment building late at night and early in the morning. Still, Varun is happy as he has a great job, a gorgeous wife and no kids. Looking at Seema (Elahe Hiptoola) and Sanjeev's (Vikram Inamdar) family, and after 6 years of marriage, Ashwini wants to have children. Ashwini argues that she is almost 30, and the whole world is pressuring her to have kids in time. Seema and Sanjeev have 2 kids and always look miserable whenever they come over to Varun's to visit. Their toddler is always crying, while their little girl is demanding and requires constant scolding to keep in line. Both Seema and Sanjeev fight over who should watch over the kids. Sanjeev says that he had kids as he was supposed to. Sanjeev says that kids are not that bad if you can hand them off to their grandparents to raise them. Seema is starting a marriage match fixing business aimed at NRI guys coming to India to find a bride. She calls it the IMF "Instant Marriage Fixation". Meanwhile, Ashwini is also about to open her own clinic. She recruits Dr Nath (Prakash Iyengar), who agrees to bring over all his clients in exchange for a 30% commission. Varun always avoids the topic of kids, saying that the two of them are good for each other, and he doesn't want anyone else in their lovely relationship. Varun's call center had a partnership with ICICI Bank to sell their money transfer service to US clients, who want to remit money to India. Azam (Anuj Gurwara) is the supervisor of the call center and he leches on female employees and uses any excuse to get physically close to them. One employee Arti complains about Azam to Varun. Varun removes Azam from his supervisor position and gives him a desk job. To replace Azam, Varun hires a new supervisor, Menaka. Menaka is super confident and promises to increase sales by 20% in a single month. Menaka Gamifies the sales effort and promotes internal competition between employees to achieve higher sales. Meanwhile the guys get together and discuss weighty topics such as infidelity and sex after marriage. The guys opine that Indian men are allowed to look but not touch. Plus, while sex frequency is inversely proportional to the number of years of marriage, the only exception is when the women are trying to have kids. Then, they cannot have enough of it. Sanjeev explains that everything is driven by the ovulation cycle and then the sex stops abruptly, when the woman is pregnant and then its back to begging. Varun realizes that Sanjeev got tricked into having a baby, twice. Seema tells Ashwini not to ask Varun for his permission. She tells Ashwini to trick Varun and says that once the kids are born, he will not be able to live without them. But Seema knows that Varun is too smart and believes that they need professional help. They rope in Sashi auntie (Anu Chengappa). Sashi auntie teaches them about talking dirty and to use the power of their Saree to seduce the man. Ashwini's brother returns from US to get married. The whole family gathers for the occasion and yet again Varun's parents blame Ashwini for not being able to give them a grand-kid and for not staying together with them. The girl refuses the engagement when she finds that Ashwini's brother is currently between jobs. Seema takes on Ashwini's brother as her first client and has the challenge of finding him another bride in 2 weeks. She admonishes Ashwini's brother for having an expectation of finding a girl ranging from Miss India to Mother India in 2 weeks. As Ashwini becomes increasingly desperate to have children, one of Varun's employees, the young and beautiful Menaka (Tisca Chopra), tries to seduce Varun. Menaka keeps running into Varun at the gym and then at a concert. Menaka gets increasingly bold and tries to flash her cleavage at Varun. Without crossing his limits, Varun stops Menaka. The whole incident happens in the office, and this is the chance Azam was waiting for. He decides to narrate the whole thing to Ashwini. However, Ashwini doesn't believe Varun and throws him out of the house. Ashwini believes that this is Varun's way to be rid of her, so he can run back to America. Varun has to go back to his parents. Varun asks Menaka to quit her job just so he can attempt to make things better with Ashwini. Seema tries to explain to Ashwini that Varun did not even touch Menaka and that Ashwini should forgive him. Before Menaka leaves Seema speaks to her 1:1 and is convinced that nothing happened Varun and Menaka. Menaka says that she tried everything to seduce Varun, but he remained steadfast in his commitment to Ashwini. Ashwini sends divorce papers to Varun. Varun tries to reconcile with Ashwini, but she is in no mood. She refuses to trust Varun or even Seema. Matter moves to court. Varun decides to go back to the US after the divorce. In front of the judge, Ashwini cannot speak why she wants a divorce. The judge orders them to stay together for another month before hearing their case again. Ashwini was mellowing down when Varun's parents meet her. They say that in case of a divorce, Varun can marry again, but the society will only blame Ashwini and she will be alone for the rest of her life. Now Ashwini is even more determined to divorce Varun. At Ashwini's clinic, Ashwini thinks that Dr Nath is hitting on her, but turns out that he was only trying to tell her that he is gay. Nath says that the worst part about being gay is the loneliness. Ashwini realizes that a divorce will leave her lonely too. The divorce is finalized, and Varun packs his bags for the US. His parents want him to get married again. Ashwini refuses Seema's call to meet Varun before he leaves for the US. Seema gets Ashwini's brother matched to Arti from Varun's office. At the wedding, Varun arrives unexpectedly as he loved Ashwini too much to leave without her (Plus, Sanjeev booked him on the wrong flight). Ashwini realizes her mistake about Varun and Menaka. She apologizes and the couple reunites.
