Mukunda Murari is a remake of the Hindi film - OMG, which is about a shopkeeper who refuses to believe in the existence of God.

This is a story where entire family is on the run, being chased by goons. It is a dysfunctional family; everyone has their own set of issues with each other - waiting to be confronted. The journey becomes a tool for them to confront each other and their issues. They fight with each other, they understand each other`s point of views, they get to know things about each other that they never knew. It is a journey of fun, realisation, values and confusion where happiness does prevail.

A bunch of misfits and gangsters embarks on a journey to find a lost and stolen diamond. Raja lives in Dubai, U.A.E. and is a career-criminal, partnered by his girlfriend, Tina, and her maternal uncle, Chobey. Raja also makes additional money by masquerading as Rahul, the son of Lajwanti, who was killed in an accident. Since Chobey owes money to a gangster named Moscow Chikna, Raja decides to help him out by arranging the abduction of Rocky, a jewel thief, who has a priceless diamond in his possession. If Raja and his gang do not bring this diamond to Moscow Chikna, he has sworn to cut off their arms. When another gangster, JD, finds out about the diamond, he asks them to bring the diamond to him or else he will cut off their legs. The trio abduct Rocky - only to be threatened by a London-based gangster, Chokshi, who has recruited Gunmaster G9, who has threatened to cut off their respective necks if the diamond is not surrendered to Chokshi. Chaos prevails as the hapless trio, their lives complicated by the bumbling Kuttu Pilot, hustle to save their lives - in vain attempts to try and pacify the three gangsters.

A brainless bimbo is mistaken as a famous miserly millionaire's mistress, the scandal is lapped up by the press and all hell breaks loose. To make matters worse, the millionaire's lazy, clueless son is romantically involved with the girl. A famous miserly stockbroker/financier throws his annoyingly extravagant wife's saffire necklece off the roof of his mansion to prove to her he's not a miser but understands the value of money. It accidently lands on a gorgeous bimbo and breaks her plastic earrings. He buys her matching earrings from a jewelry store and the rumours of his alleged affair with her begin. Meanwhile a linguistically challenged Iranian Chef turned failed hotelier, who owes the Financier a lot of money decides to invite the girl to stay at his hotel so that the financier is unable to foreclose it. Unfortunately the Millionaire's lazy, dumb son falls in love with his father's alleged mistress. What follows is a mad comedy of errors which results in a huge nationwide scandal, divorce proceedings and insider trading which threatens to shake the stock market of the country. —Perry Pictures Parsimonious Indian multi-millionaire is exasperated at his spendthrift wife, and a klutz-like son. In anger he asks his son, Harish, to leave his house and try to find a living on his own. When he finds out that his wife, Kokila, has been squandering his hard-earned money on tons of jewelery, he angrily snatches one of the expensive necklaces, and tosses it out of the window.
