Pariah is a tale of the continuous torture inflicted on the outcast Indian native dogs as their value of life is reduced to nothing in the eyes of the judiciary system of this country.

On an early Sunday evening, people of the small town are reading lottery results that are hung on a board. Young man Karel Antos is annoyed that his lottery-ticket missed the main prize, a car, by only one number. Karel is going to the pub to drink away his bad luck with his friend Jirka Broz. The old accountant auditor Zelinka drops a wallet. Karel picks it up and before he gives it back he notices the winning lottery-ticket in it. Both young men accompany the old drunk man. Karel steals the ticket and exchanges it with his own. Next day, Zelinka is found dead. A policeman on patrolling duty is asked to investigate a doctorís house nearby, from where a womanís repeated screams have been heard. The doctor does not let him into the house, insisting that it was his wife screaming due to an injection being pushed and that everything is normal. The policemanís suspicions are not allayed, especially when the neighbors claim they have often heard the wife scream but never seen her. The next morning, the policeman finds the doctor in the police station filing a missing report of his wife. The quaint little misty hill town of Rimtik is shaken when the policemen starts to dig deep into the doctorís queer life.

It has been shot in the scenic locales of rural Bengal where a bag of mixed events take place right from the study of a historian about the Maharaja and the Zamindars by Joy who is lovingly called Magic Dada, to the eccentric preparations of the Mohish Mardini Pujas whose idol gets lost. Rai Raja, the wealthiest noble man in the whole locality is said to have lost his sanity. Amongst all this chaos comes along Gogol, an 11 year old boy with a penchant for solving mysteries.

`Ami Ar Amar Girlfriends` (Me and My Girlfriends) is a chick flick abut three girlfriends bonding. This `chick flick` has been directed by Mainak Bhaumik whose previous films, `Bedroom` and `Aamra` have featured strong female protagonists. In `Ami Aar Amar Girlfriends`, one of the characters is married, the second one is in the process of getting back with an her boyfriend back and the third one is a singleton looking for love.

Three girlfriends--Preenita, Rhea, and Shreemoyee--share everything with one another from the angst of the "will-he-or-won't-he-call" debates, to the addictive gossip sessions, the analysis of dumping and getting dumped, the complaining about husbands, boyfriends, or the lack of boyfriends; over cups and cups of coffee, as they let their hair down on their 'girls-gone-wild' nights on the town.Is this chick-flick a female-buddy film?
