The story of the film revolves around a guy who falls in love with his cousin`s best friend. He goes after his love to Punjab and is confronted by the girl`s brother who challenges the guy to farm and produce more seeds on the fields.

Players is an upcoming movie starring Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bobby Deol, Sikander Kher and Omi Vaidya. Its an official remake of Hollywood blockbuster ``The Italian Job`` Players is Directed by - Abbas Mustan.

Wanted tells the tale of one apathetic nobody's transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. Wesley Gibson was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known. Until he met a woman named Fox. After his estranged father is murdered, the deadly sexy Fox recruits him into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his father's death by unlocking his dormant powers. But slowly, he begins to realize that there is more to his dangerous associates than meets the eye. And as he wavers between newfound heroism and vengeance he also learns an untaught skill to control his destiny.

Two con-men, Inder alias Eena and Deeka has an encounter in a bank. Eena commit the crime but because of Deeka's bad record with the police they are misunderstood and thus Deeka gets a long jail term but manages to escape. He then begins a manhunt for Eena in order to take him to the police station so that he can confess to his crime thus clearing his name; he does manages to get his hands on Eena but he refuses to accept his crime. When his prison sentence is over, Deeka decides to go straight. Unfortunately, while in a bank, he becomes a victim of a bungling bank robber, Inder or Eena (Rishi Kapoor), who needs money to get medical treatment for his mother (Dina Pathak). When the police arrive, they witness Eena with the notorious bank robber, and come to the conclusion that Deeka has gone back to his criminal ways. Deeka's attempts to convince them are in vain, and he must escape together with Eena for now, and he does so. The police are after Deeka, and he must get ahold of Eena and get him to confess to his crime, and therefore clear his name. But Eena is unwilling to confess, and runs away from Deeka. Balbir and Anwar are close friends who are both honest and brave, and always willing to lend a helping hand to any one who is in need, including the people behind a Ashram (resthouse for the poor). They are in love with two lovely ladies Paro and Husna Bano. Balbir's younger brother Vivek is a student and has fallen in love with another lovely young lady Nisha. Nisha is the daughter of Ranjit, a rich tycoon who will do anything to take-over the land and property of the Ashram, demolish it, and begin construction on it. He enlists the help of corrupt Jail Minister Veni Prasad Bhandari and Thakur Shakti Singh. When Balbir and Anwar frustrate his attempts he has them thrown in jail, and has the Ashram demolished by a bomb, placed by an escaped jail inmate. Balbir and Anwar escape from jail and avenge the demolishment and death of the innocent including Babaji by killing Ranjit in broad daylight, for which they are arrested and get a life sentence. The jail they are in is in charge of Jailer Rana Pratap who is a strict disciplinarian, as well as a honest and incorruptible. All three learn to respect each other. Meanwhile Balbir's brother Vivek is framed for the murder of Nisha's mom Sumitradevi and he too gets a jail sentence. Balbir and Anwar jail escapades are frustrated by Rana Pratap. Bombay's Police Commissioner Veer Bahadur Singh, lives with his wife, Sharda, and daughter, Jyoti. When DSP Vishal Khanna arrests two notorious robbers and pimps, Shera and Jaaga, and holds them in a cell, their hoodlum boss, Banarsi Das, kidnaps Jyoti, holds her for ransom, and will only release her after the release of his henchmen. Vishal takes it upon himself to rescue her with considerable success resulting in Shera and Jaaga's conviction and a two year prison sentence. After their term is over, Shera and Jaaga meet with Banarsi Das and plot a devious scheme to turn the lives of Veer Bahadur Singh and Vishal Khanna upside down. Holding a first degree in law; Avinash Kapoor is employed as a lecturer in a college. When he attempt to punish some students for bending the rules; they retaliate by abducting his blind sister, Geeta. Avinash locates them and beat them up; only to learn that he is fired from his job and sentenced to 6 days in jail for contempt of court; after completing his sentence he is unable to locate any job which forces him to re-locate to Bombay; which still does not help. His aggression for cash leads him to deliver a bag to a smuggler named, Mr. Agnihotri; Agnihotri then puts a job proposal to him but he refuses to have any doing with unlawful activities. Later on he is forced to change his mind when he needs money to pay for his mother's medical surgery which Agnihotri provides. After this there is no looking back for Avinash as he continue to climb the ladder working for Agnihotri; Avinash meets and fall in love with a cabaret dancer, Sonia. But Agnihotri's younger brother, Dilip is also fascinated by Sonia; who abducts her and attempt to sexually molest her which forces her to jump to her death from a multi-storied building. Bearing witness to this Avinash loses his cool, locates Dilip and kill him. Avinash is then arrested by the police and his case is called up in the court. This appointment does not last long as some male students decide to make his life miserable, when he resists, they kidnap his blind sister, Geeta, and molest her. When Avinash beats them up, he is arrested, and found guilty by a Judge without even a trial, when he protests, he is sentenced to six days in jail for contempt of court. When he returns he finds that he is no longer employed. He does get employment as a Lawyer for a firm, only to be sacked the next day when they find out he has been in jail. The Kapoors move to Bombay, where his mother has a heart attack and Avinash compromises on all his good values and goes to work for a smuggle and drug dealer, Agnihotri, so as to make payments for his mom's treatment. He falls in love with a dancer named Sonia, not knowing that Agnihotri's brother, Dilip, is also interested in her. Sonia and Avinash get intimate, Sonia gets pregnant, and she moves in with Avinash and his family. Dilip is not satisfied and wants Sonia for himself, so he abducts and molests her leading to her death. An enraged Avinash hunts down Dilip and kills him, thus making himself a target by both the police and the very underworld that he was a part of. Avinash is arrested and held in a cell. It is at this point he decides to spill the beans on Agnihotri and his illicit trades, on the condition that the police offer protection to his sister and mom, which they agree to. All is set for Avinash's court testimony, when he receives a note that his mom and sister have been abducted and he must confess to the killings of both Sonia and Dilip. Rajput began in 1975 as a dream project with all the makings of a blockbuster hit. It had Goldie as the director,LP as music directors; and Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Rajesh Khanna, Vinod Khanna as the lead actors. Following her phenomenal success in Laila Majnu,the gorgeous Ranjeeta was also roped in. As if that was not enough, they also signed Tina Munim some time in the middle of the project. Unfortunately, the movie took seven years to see the light of the day, and it turned out to be only an average box office earner. There is no satisfactory explanation available as to why it took so long. Maybe there were problems with the dates of the overworked stars. To a viewer, the main problem appears to be the the weak story-line which ,it seems, was revised again and again, and it became weaker with each revision. The characters played by Dharmendra and Hema Malini are deeply in love, and they get physically intimate, but their parents-Om Shivpuri and Rehman- are sworn enemies. The result is that Hema gets married to the character played by Rajesh Khanna, and Dharmendra goes to jail as he kills the dacoit who attacks Hema Malini's Doli. Hema gives birth to Dharmendra's son who is raised by Rajesh Khanna as his own son, even though he knows the truth. Bhanu (Vinod Khanna) is in love with Kamali( Ranjeeta) who gets raped by Ranjeet who plays a tyrant ex ruler. Ranjeet is a widower who has a daughter from his first marriage-played by Tina Munim. Vinod Khanna forces Ranjeet to marry Ranjeeta, and kidnaps the daughter (Tina Munim) to settle the scores. Predictably, the kidnapped daughter falls in love with the kidnapper. In spite of the multi star billing, the bizarre twists to the story lead to the evident asymmetry in the relationships as Hema is the heroine for both Dharmendra and Rajesh Khanna; and Vinod Khanna is the hero for both Ranjeeta and Tina Munim. I give full marks to Goldie as he managed to make a watchable movie even though the project dragged for seven years for whatever reasons. Among the actors, Rajesh Khanna has performed the best. Physically, he looks less of a Rajput if you compare him with Dharmendra,Vinod Khanna, and Ranjeet. But his role was meatier, and he did full justice to it as the devoted lover, committed husband, caring and loving foster father, and a brave and intelligent Police Officer. Dharmendra didn't have much scope in the story. Vinod Khanna didn't have too much scope either, but he was the director's darling. Goldie sure gave special importance to his Guru Bhai ( Ref Acharya Rajneesh) ,Vinod Khanna, who gets significant footage particularly during the climax. It should be mentioned that while Goldie and Mahesh Bhatt had deserted Rajneesh, Vinod Khanna was still with the Godman and even went with him to America.He could shoot for the film only when he visited India. The girls were totally ignored except for some scintillating scenes of Hema Malini. Ranjeet was too young to play Tina's father and certainly inadequate to be the main villain. I recall when I first saw this movie, my fellow viewers wondered why Prem Nath was not there in the movie. Certainly a watchable film. The names of the actors should be taken to mean the characters played by them in the film.

Chandramukhi visits Shimla and learns that she is a reincarnation of Paro, a girl who was raped and murdered. Plagued by her dark past, she attempts to bring the culprits to justice. The setting is in scenic Simla, summer capital of the British Raj in the 1970's. Chandramukhi from Bombay is on holiday with her parents and so is Naresh, a US educated medical professional with his parents. Chandramukhi and Naresh show interest in each other, encouraged by their parents. Choudhary Janak Singh, an important and wealthy man lives with his lawyer daughter Karuna in a lovely colonial period mansion. Their house-guest Mohan, a lawyer from Chandigarh is a protege of Janak Singh. Karuna and Mohan develop a romantic interest. The story of Paro and Madho, who lived in pre-independence India comes to affect the present. Events of thirty years ago in the lives of Paro, Madho,Janak, Saraswathi, the gardener and the disgraced policeman come back to create soulful links between past and present. Themes from the life of Zamindars, British Colonial rulers, parapsychology and law are skilfully twisted, so that most turns in the tale are unexpected. Attention to detail is excellent.

Rajesh Narain lives a poor lifestyle in a small town in British India along with his brother, Brijesh, Bhabi, and a niece, Munni. He attends college and has a sweetheart in wealthy Kamini Sinha, and both hope to get married someday. While Brijesh is actively involved in trying to force their oppressors (the British) to leave India, poetic Rajesh has no interest in politics. Things change when Brijesh gets killed and Rajesh decides to avenge his death by actively becoming involved with freedom fighters so much so that he quickly becomes a thorn on the Britisher's side and orders are issued to apprehend him - dead or alive. He even spurns Kamini, who ends up getting married to a man of her dad's choice. While on the run from the law, assisted by a Pathan truck-driver, Sher Khan, Rajesh finds shelter in the house of his childhood friend, newly-wed Superintendent of Police, Dheeraj Kumar - not knowing that he will soon be confronted by an embittered Kamini, who is the bride of Dheeraj; Sher Khan, who has been arrested and is being tortured may soon reveal Rajesh's hiding place, and from Dheeraj himself when he finds out that his best friend loves his bride. —rAjOo (gunwanti@hotmail.com)
