Nivedyam tells the story of Mohana Krishnan (Vinu Mohan), who is an outspoken Brahmin boy, who - inspite of being extremely talented artiste - takes up the job of a carpenter in order to earn daily bread for his family. His late father was a famous dramatist who used to fight for the rights of writers. Passionate about music, Mohana gets recommended by his father`s friend lyricist, Kaithapram, who happens to meet him in a composing session, and arrives at the Kovilakom, headed by Ramavarma Thampuram, a pious aged man. This is the watershed of his life, the point where everything starts to change for him.
