Straight-laced Princeton University admissions officer, Portia Nathan (Fey) is caught off-guard when she makes a recruiting visit to an alternative high school overseen by her former college classmate, the free-wheeling John Pressman (Rudd). Pressman has surmised that Jeremiah (Nat Wolff), his gifted yet very unconventional student, might well be the son that Portia secretly gave up for adoption many years ago. Soon, Portia finds herself bending the rules for Jeremiah, putting at risk the life she thought she always wanted but in the process finding her way to a surprising and exhilarating life and romance she never dreamed of having.

The Incredibles is about Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl is happily married couple with supernatural powers but are compelled to live as Bob and Helen Parr since there powers are banned by the government. While Mr. Incredible loves his wife and children, but he has a tenderness to be a superhero and gets a chance to be on an island to fight with a crazy robot. However, Mr. Incredible in a tragedy, and his family gets onto a mission to save him.

Jim and Sara Evers are successful realtors with two children, Michael and Megan. A workaholic with little time for his family, Jim misses his wedding anniversary and tries to make amends by suggesting a vacation to the nearby lake. Sara is contacted by the occupants of Gracey Manor, located in the nearby bayou; Jim, eager to make a deal after learning where the mansion is, takes his family there, meeting its owner, Edward Gracey, his butler Ramsley and his other servants; maid Emma and footman Ezra. When a rainstorm floods the nearby river, Gracey has the family to stay for the night. Ramsley takes Jim to the library to discuss the deal with Gracey, but Jim becomes trapped in a secret passage. Gracey gives Sara a tour of the mansion, discussing his past and his "grandfather"'s death after the suicide of his lover, Elizabeth Henshaw. Megan and Michael follow a spectral orb to the attic, where they find a portrait of a woman that bears an almost identical resemblance to Sara. Emma and Ezra appear, and identify the woman as the late Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Jim meets Madame Leota, the ghost of a gypsy whose head is encased in a crystal ball. He runs into Emma, Ezra and his children, and returns to Leota for answers about Elizabeth's likeness to Sara. It is then revealed that the mansion's inhabitants are ghosts, cursed a century ago by Elizabeth's and Gracey's untimely deaths, and can only enter the afterlife when the lovers are reunited; Sara is believed to be Elizabeth's reincarnation. Leota then sends the Evers to the mansion's cemetery to find a key that will reveal the truth about Elizabeth's death. In a crypt beneath a mausoleum, Jim and Megan find the key, but inadvertently disturb its undead residents. However, they escape with help from Michael, who overcomes his arachnophobia. Leota leads them to a trunk in the attic, which Jim unlocks to find a letter Elizabeth wrote to Gracey, revealing she truly loved him and wanted to marry him, indicating that she did not commit suicide as everyone believed. Ramsley then appears and reveals he murdered Elizabeth to prevent Gracey from abandoning his heritage, as he believed their relationship was unacceptable. To hide the truth, Ramsley traps the children in a trunk and literally throws Jim out of the mansion. As Gracey and Sara rendezvous in the ballroom, she is confused when he asks if she recognizes him, and he insists she is his beloved Elizabeth. The room fills with dancing ghosts as Gracey reveals his ghostly self, but Sara denies being Elizabeth. This gives Gracey second thoughts, but Ramsley insists that Sara is Elizabeth and, in time, she will remember. Ramsley blackmails Sara into marrying Gracey in exchange for her children's safety. Encouraged by Leota, Jim manages to re-enter the mansion, rescue his children, and stop Sara and Gracey's wedding. He gives Gracey Elizabeth's letter and Ramsley's crime is exposed. As Gracey angrily confronts Ramsley, the latter rages at his master's apparent selfishness for loving Elizabeth and summons wraiths to attack the group. However, with the truth revealed, a fiery entity emerges from the ballroom's fireplace and prepares to drag Ramsley down to Hell to face eternal punishment. Ramsley attempts to take Jim with him, but he is saved by Gracey. Sara collapses, having been poisoned by Ramsley during the wedding ceremony, but the spectral orb appears and, possessing Sara. It is revealed to be Elizabeth's ghost, who could only be released from her current form once the truth was revealed. Elizabeth and Gracey reunite as Sara is subsequently revived. With the curse finally lifted, Gracey gives the Evers the deed to the mansion and departs to Heaven with Elizabeth, Emma, Ezra, and the mansion's other inhabitants. The Evers drive across the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway for a proper vacation, accompanied by Leota and four singing busts that they encountered while searching for the mausoleum, strapped to the back of their car.

A cowboy toy, Woody, being the favorite of a young boy, Andy, starts to feel insecure when his owner receives a new spaceman toy as his birthday gift.

Fourteen-year-old Max Goof (Jason Marsden) lives with his single father Goofy (Bill Farmer) in New York City, though the two have a tense relationship. Max Goof is an average teenager who pines after his classmate Roxanne, worships the pop star Powerline. Max fears Goofy embarrassing him in front of Roxanne and has nightmares about the same. In the morning, Goofy uses the vacuum cleaner and accidentally destroys Max's Powerline cardboard cutout. Max walks down the street and his dad goofy, gives him a brown bag and kisses him. Max is irritated as he was in a hurry to get to school and Goofy wanted him to clean up his room before leaving. Goofy works as a photographer at a photo studio, with his colleague Pete. Pete tells Goofy how he is taking his son PJ on a camping trip as a way of bonding with him. Pete says that if the kid does not spend time with family, it could mean that they are running around in some gang. On the last day of school before summer vacation, Max shows up at the top of a bleachers, and he trips and falls on the bleachers. His crush Roxanne is standing there. He gets embarrassed when he involuntarily says "Hyuvk!" out of habit and runs away to hide from her. Max has been ridiculed for the whole of his school life, but this is the day when he was going to change everything. Max and his best friends P.J. (Rob Paulsen) and Robert "Bobby" Zimmeruski (Pauly Shore) hijack the auditorium stage in the middle of Principal Mazur's (Wallace Shawn) speech, creating a small concert where Max performs, while costumed as the pop singer Powerline. Mazur eventually catches Max. The performance succeeds in making Max a school celebrity and impressing his love interest, Roxanne (Kellie Martin). But he, P.J. and Bobby are sent to Mazur's office. While waiting for Mazur, Roxanne arrives and speaks with Max and agrees to go with him to a party at the house of Stacey, the class valedictorian, where Powerline's concert will be aired live on pay per view TV. Mazur calls Goofy and forewarns him that Max's actions may result in facing potential juvenile delinquency. Goofy desperately decides to take Max on a fishing trip to Lake Destiny, Idaho, following a map route he and his father took years ago, and the two go into his AMC Pacer station wagon. Max is distraught that the trip could take several weeks. However, he is oblivious to what Max is planning to do with Roxanne. Max stops by Roxanne's house to call off their date and says that he has no choice but to go with his father on this camping trip. When Roxanne says she will just have to go with someone else, Max instead fabricates a story about his father knowing Powerline. He tells her he will be on stage at the concert and will wave at her. Roxanne gives Max a peck on the cheeks, making his day. Goofy plans his own trip (against Max's wishes), with initially disastrous results. Goofy tries to use a camcorder on Max and sees Max is bored and he pulls out a list of things he did with his dad. He turns on a cassette but max switches it off and puts on heavy metal. Goofy and Max get into a tussle over control of the radio/cassette player, until the cassette breaks, and Max gets annoyed that there is no music. Max hurts his father's feelings after his father humiliates him at an opossum-based theme park. They go to see an Animatronic possum show and the Possum's start singing to 'Lester's Possum Park'. They go outside and a giant possum (a person wearing a possum costume) tries to hug Max but Max slaps the possum in the face so that his head goes backward, and a bunch of little kids pounce on him. After, Goofy manages to embarrass Max in front of a crowd of people (when he goes to get his picture taken in a possum hat) and gets him a possum hat as well. Goofy then engages Max in a possum dance, and they both are made fun of by the onlookers. Back in the car, Max yells at Goofy for making him do things that he does not like. This makes Goofy sad, and they drive away. The next day, Max is looking at the water and sees Roxane in a lake of water but Goofy splashes it and asks him how he is, Max slowly walks away. While camping, Pete (Jim Cummings) (P.J.'s dad) and P.J. join them in a huge RV. P.J. informs Max of how all their peers back home anticipate seeing him onstage at the Powerline concert. Following Pete's advice to keep Max under control, Goofy takes his son fishing and performs the Perfect Cast fishing technique, luring Bigfoot to their camp. Pete and P.J. flee, leaving Goofy and Max to spend the night in the car with Bigfoot outside. They cannot drive away as Bigfoot had the keys. At night, while Goofy is still asleep, Max alters the map route to Los Angeles, where the concert is to be held. The next morning, Goofy decides to make Max the navigator of the trip. The two go to several locations that satisfy both of them such as water skiing, roller coasters, fast food, monster truck derby, World's largest house of Yarn, a mime show, bat caverns, baseball game, and changing numerous flat tires on the road. They stop by a motel where they meet Pete and P.J. again. Pete is astounded to see that Max and Goofy are now bonding and having fun with each other. Pete wanted Goofy to enforce discipline on Max and to keep him under his thumb. When Pete overhears a conversation between Max and P.J., he tells Goofy that Max has tricked him in traveling to Los Angeles. Goofy refuses to believe Pete when he says that Max is a bad kid. Pete asks Goofy to check the map himself, but Goofy says that he trusts Max. Goofy says that Max loves him, and that is more than enough for him. Pete says that PJ respects him and that's how it should be. The next day, Goofy doesn't say anything to Max as they drive. Goofy and Max come to a junction: One leading to Idaho, the other to California. Goofy still believes Max will do the right thing, but Max chooses the route to California, making Goofy stop the car at the Grand Canyon and storm off in anger. With the brake loose, the car drives off on its own. Goofy and Max chase after it and end up at the Colorado river. Goofy reveals that no matter how old Max gets, he will always be his son and the two reconcile with each other. Realizing Max had promised to Roxanne to go to the concert, Goofy decides to take him to Los Angeles. The two nearly plummet down a waterfall to their deaths, but Max fortunately saves Goofy, using the Perfect Cast technique. Goofy and Max get to Los Angeles, and they end up onstage and dance with Powerline, watched by Pete, P.J. and Roxanne on separate televisions. Goofy and Max later return to Roxanne's house in their damaged car. Max tells the truth to Roxanne, though she accepts it and admits she always had feelings for him, ever since he first said, "Ahyuck!". Thus, a relationship starts between them. Goofy's car suddenly explodes due to its damaged sustained at the waterfall after it fell, but he safely falls through the porch roof of Roxanne's house, and he is introduced to her by Max.

Emperor Tod Spengo (Jon Lovitz), with General Afir (Thalmus Rasulala) at his side, takes over a small planet at the edge of the galaxy populated entirely by imbeciles, and renames it after himself. He has all the resources of the planet engaged to create his Death Ray to destroy Earth, thus making Spengo the greatest planet of the Universe. When Spengo peaks at the laser's planned point of impact (a Southern California suburb), he beholds housewife Marge Nelson (Teri Garr) and instantly falls in love. Using his Magnobeam (a giant magnet), he kidnaps Marge and her husband Dick (Jeffrey Jones) on their way to their 20th anniversary weekend, hoping to make Marge his queen. Dick and Marge get separated on Spengo: Marge is sent to the lap of luxury, waited on servants with fish or dog heads, while Dick is thrown into a dungeon. In his cell, Dick meets the rightful king of Spengo, King Raff (Eric Idle), who gives him plans for his son, called the White Bird, leader of a band of rebels out in the desert. In the meantime, Spengo finds that his advances toward Marge are failing, so he attempts to read Dick's mind in order to discover the secret to her heart before having him executed. Upon witnessing Dick's devotion to Marge, Spengo's interrogator, Sibor (Wallace Shawn), has a change of heart and helps Dick escape. Despite the stupidity of his captors, Dick is soon discovered and forced down a garbage chute to the sewers, where he encounters a carnivorous mushroom-like creatures called Lub-Lubs and is forced to run for his life. Dick manages to escape the sewers and steal an escape pod, and winds up crashing into the desert, where he meets the rebels led by King Raff's son, Prince Sirk (Dwier Brown) and daughter Princess Semage (Kathy Ireland), all of whom dress as six-foot-tall birds (although such creatures are not naturally found on Spengo). At first, the rebels don't trust Dick, but when Dick reveals that he shared a cell with Raff and that he is on their side, their attitude quickly changes, and Dick rises to the rank of war leader. Using what limited resources he can scrounge up, he devices a plan to sneak back into Spengo's palace and save Marge. In the meantime, General Afir, the only intelligent person among Spengo's forces and resentful of the emperor's antics believes that Dick and Marge are the key to ending Spengo's rule, so he switches the love serum meant for Marge with water and informs her of his intentions to recover Dick. However, Spengo overhears Afir's plan and has him placed into the barrel of the laser, to perish when the weapon is fired at Earth. While Spengo's wedding with Marge is prepared, a detachment of Spengo's soldiers go into the finish the rebels, but find the camp deserted, and one by one they fall victim to a light grenade (which has "pick me up" engraved on it and disintegrates anyone with picks it up) left on Dick's pallet. Simultaneously, Dick and the rebels approach Spengo's fortress inside a large wooden bust of Spengo, which Spengo has brought into the chapel, and into the middle of the wedding ceremony the rebels emerged from the Trojan bust. As the fighting rages into the castle, Spengo retreats to his laboratory with Marge and prepares to fire the laser at Earth. Dick and Spengo clash swords, but neither gains the upper hand. Marge manages to free herself and helps Dick throw Spengo into the sewers, where he is last seen being cornered by the Lub-Lubs. At the last second, Dick and Marge manage to shut down the laser, saving Afir and the Earth. With Spengo defeated as emperor, Raff is reinstated as the rightful king, and he reverses the polarity of the Magnobeam to send Dick and Marge back to Earth. Upon arriving home, Dick and Marge proceed to show their son (Danny Cooksey), daughter (Suzanne Ventulett), and her boyfriend Carl (Michael Stoyanov) slides (including an image of their space journey to the planet Spengo) from what they claim is Santa Barbara. To end their 20th anniversary, they share drinks on the roof, watching the stars from above.
