Arjun, an athlete becomes a star of his college after he breaks another athlete Tinu's record. Unable to stomach Arjun's popularity, Tinu takes the competition between them to a personal level. Arjun, an athlete joined BCM college. He has some intentions on joining there. There he meets Gouri and her brother Gowtham. Arjun joined College in order to participate in the athletic meet held every academic year end. The individual champion of the meet will receive Job and 10 Lakh Indian rupees as price money. Arjun want to become the champion in order to save his younger brother Ani's life who met with an accident earlier. —Arjun

A man accidentally kills his friend while fighting with a man who absconded with his money and is sentenced to death. His only way out is to obtain a letter of pardon from his friend's wife.

A group of students camping in a forest accidentally sets free a spirit that is seething with revenge to kill her murderer. When the spirit begins to kill the students, they call a sorcerer. A college group of anthropology students go to the remote forest are of Muthuvan Mala, under the oversight of Prof. Shankaranarayanan (Raghavan), in order to study the tribal life which had existed there. A student, Sunny (Nishanth Sagar), unknowingly unleashes the spirit of Neeli (Vani Viswanath), who is a ghost seeking revenge against the Thripangod royal family, one of whom (Devan) had killed her and her lover (Vikram). Consequently, Neeli starts killing off the students one by one and the police call for sorcerer Vadakkedath Namboothiri (Prathapachandran) to be summoned.

The sequel to the 1989 classic hit and critically acclaimed Kireedam ("The Crown"), Chenkol ("The Sceptre") deals with the protagonist Sethumadhavan (Mohanlal) who is released from prison after serving time for the murder of the notorious criminal Keerikadan Jose.
