Telugu cinema grossed ₹681.13 Cr (net ₹580.58 Cr) between April and June 2026, selling 3.98 Cr tickets across 9,36,912 shows in 1,671 cinemas. The quarter was heavily back-loaded: June alone contributed ₹359.1 Cr (52.7%) — 2.1× April — powered by Peddi, which grossed ₹247.2 Cr (36.3% of the entire quarter) with a ₹50.4 Cr opening day on top of ₹21.3 Cr in paid premieres the night before. The market remains deeply concentrated: the top 5 titles took 63.8% of gross, the two Telugu home markets delivered 88.6%, single screens drove 56.1% of revenue, and the Friday–Sunday window accounted for 50.3% of all business.
Peddi carried the quarter. One in every ₹3 grossed in Q2 came from a single title — a 36.3% share, 4.0× the #2 film.
June re-rated the market. Occupancy jumped from ~26% in Apr–May to 35.4% in June on 1.68 Cr admissions.
Nizam is the single biggest zone. 36.7% of gross alone — but Andhra Pradesh's coastal & Rayalaseema zones together still out-gross it, 49.8% to 36.7%.
A quiet start, a quieter middle, then June: 52.7% of the entire quarter's gross came in a single month.
