War correspondent NATHAN HOLD evades questions of morality and ethics by going underground in the Maremma. While falling in love with EWA, who opens up completely new sides of life for him, the medial flood of information accusing his brother AMON of being a con artist who cheated on his investors by several hundred million, floats like a sword of Damokles above his new life. In the sudden reunion of the two brothers, past and present collide and an atmosphere of suspicion, mistrust and betrayal inevitably occurs. The threat of his own existence forces Nathan to get rid of his values and morals.

Kabede Bimro (Michael K. Williams), an Ethiopian Hebrew in 1979, works with the Israeli Mossad agent Ari Levinson (Chris Evans) to evacuate Hebrew-Ethiopian refugees to Israel. Ari is constantly hunted by the Ethiopian army who is bent on genocide and killing of Hebrews whom they want to exterminate. Thousands have already been killed in the civil war that has dishonored and displaced millions till date. Ari outsmarts the Ethiopian army to save every Hebrew life that he can. While evacuating them, they come across many convoys who were intercepted and burned alive and their daughters brutally sexually assaulted. Ari and Bimro, along with the refugees, cross the river into Sudan, where they are arrested for human trafficking. The CIA (who intervene on request of the Mossad) led by Walter Bowen helps Ari deal with the local authorities in Sudan and gets Ari and his colleague Sammy evacuated. The refugees are still stuck in Sudan and Ari does not have a plan to bring them to Israel. Upon their return to Israel, Ari's colleague Sammy (Alessandro Nivola) says that in an crisis they would need a plan, and Ari never has one as he never sticks to the script and tries outrageous things to save one more refugee that puts the entire group in danger. Ari's wife Sarah (Alona Tal) has also left him due to his obsession with his job that keeps him away from his family for several weeks. Ari realizes that his ability to operate in Ethopia would be improved if he had a cover activity that would give him a reason for having a building and vehicles. He proposes to Israeli intelligence officer Ethan Levin (Ben Kingsley) a plan that would allow him to evacuate significantly more refugees: rent the Red Sea Diving Resort, an abandoned Sudanese coastal hotel, and run it as a front to facilitate moving refugees out of the country by sea. Landing a plane without being noticed is near impossible, so evacuation by sea is the only viable bulk option. It takes 3 days by sea from Sudan to Sinai. He will need a team of agents with an international background. The resort was built by Italians in the 1970's and abandoned 5 years ago as the area of Sudan is ruled by Bedouins (known to cannibalize their enemies) and known for human trafficking. The resort if 50 Kms north of port Sudan. The Sudanese Govt is looking to lease it to boost tourism. The Ethiopians they rescue would have to trek almost a 1000 Kms through the desert to reach the resort. The unorthodox plan is reluctantly approved, and Ari recruits his former Mossad colleagues Rachel Reiter (Haley Bennett), Jake Wolf (Michiel Huisman), Max Rose (Alex Hassell), and Sammy Navon (Alessandro Nivola) to assist him. Ari tells Sammy that this time he has a plan to make a real difference. Ethan warns them that the mission is risky and that there is no Exfiltration plan for the agents in case they are discovered. They are going in without weapons and if found out they will be hanged from cranes in Khartoum. Ari and Rachel pose as American businessmen to lease the resort for USD 350,000 per year, USD 250,000 as rent and USD 100,000 as bribe to the minister. Bimro makes contact with Ari, and they start planning the evacuation of first batch of refugees. Shortly after the team's arrival in Sudan, the brochures they had printed inspire actual tourists to begin arriving at the resort. Although hosting guests was not originally part of the plan, Levinson realizes the tourists will provide cover for the team's operations, so the team runs the resort as a legitimate business while simultaneously evacuating refugees to a waiting Israeli ship off the coast. The refugees are brought from their camp to the resort in the middle of the night and then transported to a ship waiting off the coast, via rubber dinghies. In the first batch, they manage to transport 174 refugees to the ship. Ari ignores Sammy's call for a dry run, and on their way from the camp to the resort, the trucks encountered a random checkpoint which Ari drove through. Sammy remarks that due to Ari's actions, the next time it won't be a random checkpoint. The Checkpoint soldiers report to Colonel Ahmed that the trucks driver was not a Bedouin, but a white man. Ahmed comes to check the resort but finds no bullet holes in the trucks and a group of German tourists getting a sun tan on the beach convinces him that this is a legitimate operation. In fact, the checkpoint soldiers had missed the truck while firing at it, and were just too scared to report that to Ahmed. The plan is initially successful, and multiple extraction operations are carried out (3640 Ethiopian Hebrews evacuated to Israel across more than 17 missions), but the Sudanese Colonel Abdel Ahmed (Chris Chalk) learns of Bimro after interrogating and then killing a group of refugees in the Gedaref refugee camp. Ahmed visits the resort to investigate but does not discover the refugee operation. Walton Bowen (Greg Kinnear) is from CIA and knows of Ari's operations in Sudan. He visits him at the resort to warn him of Ahmed, when he learns that Ahmed killed hundreds of refugees upon discovering them. One night, Ari and Sammy are arrested after an evacuation mission narrowly escapes from Sudanese soldiers. They are released (when Rachel meets the minister and bribes him to intervene in the matter) and return to the resort to find Levin awaiting the duo; he tells the group the mission has been compromised and that it is canceled. Ahmed again visits the resort, and Rachel is forced to kill one of Ahmed's men after the soldier discovers a group of refugees hiding there. To evacuate them, Ari decides to perform a final refugee extraction by cargo plane with assistance from Walton Bowen (Greg Kinnear), a CIA officer. Ari and his team transport the refugees to an abandoned British airfield. The team and Bimro narrowly escape Ahmed and extract themselves and the refugees.

Paleontologist Dr. Grant agrees to give a wealthy couple a tour of Isla Sorna, overrun by dinosaurs, in exchange for research funds, but they turn out to have ulterior motives.

Ben Hildebrand (Mark Harelik) and Eric Kirby (Trevor Morgan) go parasailing over the waters near Isla Sorna, 207 miles west of Costa Rica. The boat's crew disappears, and the top of the boat is destroyed, prompting Ben to detach the line before the boat crashes. He and Eric drift towards the island. Eight weeks later, paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) has made a new discovery about the intelligence of Velociraptors but struggles to secure funding for his research. Grant discusses his discovery of a resonating larynx on fossilized raptor remains with his longtime colleague Ellie (Laura Dern). Ellie is now married with a husband Mark and 2 kids. Mark (Taylor Nichols) works for the state department, specializing in international treaty law. Grant says that the larynx of the raptors was a tremendous evolutionary advantage. This, and his experience at Jurassic Park, leads him to believe that the original Velociraptors were socially sophisticated, and smarter than dolphins, whales and even primates. They were able to hunt in numbers and coordinate their attacks. He hypothesizes that if they had not gone extinct and continued to evolve, their descendants-rather than humans-would have become Earth's dominant species. At a symposium, Grant declares that all John Hammond and Ingen did at Jurassic Park was to create genetically engineered theme park monsters. He says that he has no intention of visiting Isla Sorna. His assistant Billy Brennan (Alessandro Nivola) uses a 3D printer to replicate the Velociraptor larynx. Grant laments that he would have to wrap up his field research in 4 weeks if additional funding is not approved. Paul (William H. Macy) and Amanda Kirby (Téa Leoni), posing as a wealthy couple, offer funding for Grant's research if he will give them an aerial tour of Isla Sorna, claiming they have permission to fly over the island. The Kirbys say that they are adventurers and have been to the Nile, the K2 and the Galapagos. They even claim to have 2 seats on the first commercial flight to the moon. Paul offers a big check to Grant to help him to agree. Grant reluctantly agrees and flies there with Paul, Amanda, Billy, and the Kirbys' mercenary associates Udesky (Michael Jeter), Cooper (John Diehl), and their pilot Nash (Bruce A. Young). During the flight, Grant learns that the Kirbys plan to land on the island; he protests but Cooper knocks him unconscious. Grant awakens to discover that they have landed. Grant is adamant that the island is not safe, even as Amanda calls out for Eric using a loudspeaker. A Spinosaurus approaches the group, who board the plane to escape, leaving Cooper behind as he tries to reach the plane. The Spinosaurus emerges on the runway and devours Cooper. In avoiding the Spinosaurus, the plane clips the dinosaur and crashes into the forest. The Spinosaurus destroys the plane and consumes Nash, who had possession of Paul's satellite phone. Fleeing, the survivors briefly lose the Spinosaurus but encounter a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The Spinosaurus returns and the group escapes while the two dinosaurs engage in a battle, with the Spinosaurus killing the Tyrannosaurus. Grant furiously confronts the Kirbys, and learns that the Kirbys are a middle-class, divorced couple who are looking for their son Eric and Amanda's boyfriend Ben, who went missing on the island. Government agencies declined to help the Kirbys, so they brought Grant along as an expert because of his past experience at Jurassic Park. To their dismay however, Grant explains his previous visit was to Isla Nublar, not Isla Sorna, and as such is just as lost as they are. The group searches for Eric and Ben as they travel to the coast. They find Ben's corpse attached to the para-sail, which Billy takes. They also stumble upon Velociraptor nests, and Billy secretly steals two eggs in his bag. The group find an abandoned InGen compound. A raptor chases them and summons the rest of its pack. The humans flee into a herd of Corythosaurus and Parasaurolophus, causing a stampede, and separating Grant and Udesky from the others. The raptors attack Udesky in an attempt to lure the others out of a tree and almost succeed in attacking Amanda when she tries to descend to help him. The raptors' trap fails, and they kill Udesky before departing. Elsewhere, Grant observes the pack communicating and suspects that they are searching for something; as he tries to slip away, they ambush him. Eric appears, dispersing the attack with tear gas, before taking Grant to an overturned supply truck where he has been taking shelter. The next day, Grant and Eric are reunited with Billy and the Kirbys. The group is then chased by the Spinosaurus but manage to lock it out by entering an abandoned observatory. Grant finds the Velociraptor eggs in Billy's bag, which provoked the earlier attacks. Billy hoped to sell the eggs to fund their dig site. Grant disapproves of this idea, but keeps the eggs regardless, hoping the Velociraptors may spare the group if they are returned. The group unknowingly enters a large aviary used to house Pteranodons, which attack the group and fly away with Eric. Billy rescues Eric using Ben's para-sail but is then attacked and seemingly killed by the Pteranodons. The rest of the group escapes the aviary, unknowingly leaving the door unlocked. They find a boat and make their way down a river. That night, the group retrieves the ringing satellite phone from the feces of the Spinosaurus. Grant contacts Ellie and tells her where they are but the Spinosaurus attacks the boat. Grant ignites the boat's fuel, causing the Spinosaurus to flee. The next morning, the group makes its way towards the coast but are surrounded by the raptors. They surrender the eggs to the raptors while Grant uses the replica raptor larynx to confuse the pack, which runs off with the eggs. The group reach the coast and see that Ellie had called in the Marine Corps and the Navy to rescue them. They discover that Billy, while seriously injured, has also been rescued. As they leave the island, they see the Pteranodons fly by.
