Shaji Kailas`s `Ginger` is a humorous tale, set against the backdrop of a village, enroots a road trip. Two scheming thieves Vivekanandan and Najeeb Kecheri plans to rob Harinarayanan and his wife Devika`s house, but in a quirk of fate, becomes a part of their life. Meanwhile, when moneylender Edamuttam Pappachen asks them to do something special for him, the story takes another turn.

Manthrikan depicts an unemployed man who`s trying to get rid of an evil spirit. This comic thriller stars Jayaram as the leading actor with actress Poonam Bajwa opposite him. The film`s supporting cast includes Riyaz Khan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sukanya, Natasha, Anil Murali, Priya, Mukta and Saddiq. The story is about Nandagopan (Dileep), a villager who writes the story of his own life and sufferings and wants Sooryakiran (Kalabhavan Mani), who is a south Indian superstar, to make a film based on it. When the meeting finally happens one night, the star is in a foul mood and behaves rudely with Nandan, who abandons the idea of making the film, but leaves the script behind. Sooryakiran, who always boasts of coming up the hard way, reads the script later and is so moved by it that he decides to make the movie. The film shows Sooryakiran making Nandan`s dream project, overcoming the hurdles put in the way by a caucus of politicians led by a headstrong minister (Devan).

Achanuragantha Veedu (English: The House Where the Father Doesn't Sleep) is a 2006 Malayalam film directed by Lal Jose and written by Babu Janardhanan.
