Three generations of men stay together in a prestigious Nair family. Narayanan Nair (Jagathy Sreekumar) is the head, followed by his son, Madhavan (Murali) and grandson, Hari. Hari (Prithviraj Sukumaran) has always been very close to his father. But, one day, they have a difference of opinion and Hari leaves for Chennai, not to return for a long time. The software engineer meets Pooja (Padmapriya) and the two fall in love. After two long years, Hari goes home to meet his parents. Pooja follows him and her arrival creates quite an upheaval in the family. But her presence goes a long way in patching up the relationship between father and son.

Iringannoor Bharathan Pisharody (Mohanlal) is a professor at the Sanskrit university. He has been promised to Meera (Padmapriya) who is also his student. On the day of marriage, as bride comes in the mandap, she realises that the groom has gone. The household submerges in sorrow and it becomes difficult to control Meera. The rest is how they find him after years at the most unexpected destination.

Nandagopal, an editor in a leading daily, meets Shekharan, an ex-Naxalite running a newspaper. When Shekharan is murdered for his writing, Nandagopal decides to avenge his death.

Sethu wants to be a policeman like his father but things change when he gets involved in a brawl. The consequences lead his father to worry Sethu is going down the wrong path.
