But after each story one friend gets scared and goes back to the car. 1) Karan and Anjali get stuck in the forest when their car suddenly stops while Anjali sees Karan going into creep but next moment he is standing besides her claiming to be normal. 2) Anil Manchandani , a smoker, checks into a hotel whose owner is weird and hates smoking. 3) Pramila, a little girl who is not a good student, has several complaints from her teacher; suddenly the teacher gets scared of her when her behavior changes. 4) Homemaker Gayatri finds an apple-seller suspicious; the next morning she finds that things around her house have turned into apples--including her husband. 5) John is waiting outside a graveyard for a lift; when Amar lets him in his car, he reveals that he died few days back. 6) Purab, considered a loser by everyone, suddenly gets the power to STOP things around him. —alex.mjacko@gmail.com Six city students take refuge in deserted ruins when stranded on a highway and start telling one another scary stories to keep amused. The stories include: A husband trying to scare his wife; a man stuck at a creepy "healthy hotel"; a teacher spooked by a child's homework; a housewife scared of apples; a bizarre lift on a freeway; and a college kid with an unusual power. Unlike the usual Indian horror film, this does not resort to sound effects and visuals for thrills. Each sketch has its moments, though a couple of them could have been brilliant with small script changes and a resistance to oversimplifying. Most of the actors do decent jobs, especially Raghubir Yadav as the freaked-out teacher. —Joyojeet Pal A group of friends are stranded in a remote rural area when their vehicle breaks down. After exploring their whereabouts they find an abandoned house and decide to spend the night there, sharing supernatural and horror stories. The friends disappear one by one, and nobody seems to know what happened to them. As the remaining friends share stories of the occult, they realize that some are missing and go look for them. Major Balbir Singh Sodhi (Amitabh Bachchan) attempts to kill Indian Home Minister Veer Bhadra Singh (Danny Denzongpa) but is unsuccessful. He has been identified, and the Army is on the lookout for him to court-martial him. They suspect that he has assumed a new identity, that of Devraj Hathoda alias Dadabhai. Major Ajit Arya (Nana Patekar) is assigned the task to investigate this, and he successfully manages to lure Balbir into admitting his true identity. Then Balbir clarifies to Ajit what the motive was behind his assassination attempts on the Home Minister, and Ajit decides to join forces with Balbir to expose the Home Minister. Then terrorist Ghafoor Changezi announces that no worshipper will be permitted to visit the Holy Shrine of Mata Sheravali during the Navratri Fest, and the Home Minister accepts the challenge, to make himself even more popular. Read more →Raj Mathur (Shahrukh Khan) is a young engineering graduate from Darjeeling who comes to Bombay with only one ambition - to become a big engineer. In Bombay, he arrives in a lower middle-class locality in search of a distant relative, only to discover he has left years before. He spends the night at a temple, where he meets a philosophical street side performer Jai (Nana Patekar), who becomes a close friend and gives him a place to stay. With no connections and no experience, he finds it hard to get a job in the city until a beautiful girl Renu (Juhi Chawla), finds him a job as a trainee with the construction company where she works as a secretary to Chabbria (Navin Nischol). They eventually fall in love with each other. As he becomes successful he gets the attention of Chhabria's daughter Sapna (Amrita Singh). They spend more and more time together and he soon gets caught up in the rich and glamorous lifestyle. Sapna has fallen in love with Raju, but when she finds out that he loves Renu, she is heartbroken. In the meantime, Raju's enemies are conspiring against him and they collapse a bridge which was under Raju's supervision. He gets the blame and soon realizes that the glamorous world of the rich is not what he wants. In the end, Raju decides to leave. Most people were asking Jai when Raju would come back. Jai told them when he turns his head around and looks at Renu, he will have no choice but to come back. Just a second earlier, Jai says "Palat" (meaning turn) then Raju turns and looks at Renu. He and Renu finally get reunited again.

Sometimes they can get temporary jobs selling tea, but mostly they must beg for money and keep out of the way of the police, but they can almost never avoid trouble. —Mattias Thuresson Fed up of being endlessly bullied by his older brother, Krishna sets fire to his motorbike, and his furious mother takes him to the nearby Apollo Circus and informs him that he can only come home after he earns Rs.500/- to pay for the damaged bike. Krishna agrees to this and finds employment with the circus. One day the boss sends him on an errand, and he returns to discover that the circus has packed up and departed. Alone, not knowing where to go or how to earn the 500 rupees he needs, he travels to the nearest big city: Bombay. Immediately robbed of what little he has, he follows the thieves and befriends them. He ends up in Bombay's notorious red-light area of Falkland Road near Grant Road Railway Station. One of the thieves, Chillum, a drug pusher and addict, helps him get a job on the "Grant Road Tea Stall" and changes his name to "Chaipau." He soon discovers that saving money among his new associates in his new surroundings is next to impossible. He also has a crush on young prostitute Sola Saal; he sets fire to her room and tries unsuccessfully to elope with her--which earns him a beating and relieves him of his job. He then works odd jobs to feed himself and look after Chillum, who cannot live without his drugs. He and his pals also break into an elderly Parsi man's place in broad daylight to rob him. One night several of his friends return home to get apprehended by the police and taken to a juvenile home, but Krishna escapes and returns to his world of drug pushers, pimps, and prostitutes.
