Though he works as a hostel warden, there is more to Kaali than meets the eye. Things take an interesting turn when Kaali's path crosses with a group of dreaded gangsters.

Set in Mumbai, Kaala is a crime drama, which showcases the story of a man from Tirunelveli, who migrates to Mumbai, and eventually emerges as a virtuous gangster in the Dharavi slums. Director Pa. Ranjith also highlights the sufferings of Tamil migrants in Mumbai who are often victims of discrimination.

Kabali is a gangster film starring Rajinikanth and Radhika Apte in the lead. This crime action film depicts the eternal victory of good over evil. The protagonist fights to bring justice to the people who suffer.

Directed by P.Vasu, the film revolves around a family, in whose mansion strange things start to happen anfter Senthil (Prabhu) and Ganga (Jyothika) marry against the wishes of their family, and move into this mansion. The incidents are attributed to Chandramukhi-a palace dancer, whose ghost is believed to be haunting the mansion. But is it really her ghost, or any one of the suspicious members of the extended family, will be looked into by ``psychiatrist extraordinaire`` Dr. Sarvanan (Rajnikanth). The movie serves as an absolute treat for lovers of psychological thrillers and Rajnikanth fans.

Bhaktawar is a criminal mastermind who bosses a dockyard and makes all the workers work there without receiving any wages. He is however, troubled by Tiger who is the dockyard`s union leader, but does not harm him because Tiger`s father is his bodyguard. In a meeting between the two, Tiger kills him and runs for his life. Years later, Tiger is shown as a sober man (Shekhar), who has two younger brothers and one of them is a police officer. But past soon catches up with him and now he must run from his brother to not get arrested.

Twin sisters, Anju and Manju, who are separated at birth are brought up differently and have starkly contrasting personalities. Whilst Anju is weak and coy, Manju is bold and carefree. In a fateful incident, they end up being in each other's homes and a series of comedic events ensues.
