The movie script was written by Shuudertsetseg.B and Boldkhuyag.D. The project continued for 5 years and the filming began in 2020. The investment for the movie was covered by Voo and Shuuder Production. The filming process was for 3 seasons, from 2020 to 2021. The movie was filmed in beautiful settings such as Uvurkhangai, Dundgovi, Bulgan, Tuv and Khentii in Mongolia. Lead actress Tserendolgor Munkhbat graduated from Mongolian states university of arts and culture, an arts academy in Beijing, majored in acting in State institute of Theatre arts in Moscow. Most of her on screen fights were filmed without a stunt. Some of Princess Khutulun's stuntmen also took part in Mulan. Lkhagvasuren was Jet Li's stuntman during Mulan. Princess Khutulun is mentioned in Marco Polo's diaries and is the main character from the play Turandot. Khutulun is also shown in the Netflix series, Marco Polo and the character was played by the Korean actress Claudia Kim. Khutulun is the 5th generation princess of Ghengis Khan and is known by the name wrestling princess. The stunt for her wrestling scene in the movie was played by freestyle wrestling world championship Orkhon.P Warrior princess got the best investment awards from Mongolian national movie awards. Red coat was awarded the best male lead. They also made a documentary film about Galdan Boshigt. In 2018, they took part in Khand Van which was another documentary project. The project Princess Khutulun started since 2016 and ended in 2021. They premiered on December of 2021 in Mongolia and was nominated as one of the best 5 movies with the greatest amount of audience. They usually make action historical films. Founded by producer and author, Shuudertsetseg.B.The movie Princess Khutulun was made from author Shuudertsetseg's bestselling novel which shares the same name as the movie. The novel was published in 2018 and has been listed as a bestseller for 2 years. A professor from Jerusalem, and an asian historian, Micheal Biran used the cover of the book for her research on Princess Khutulun. There's also a sequel to the novel, called Khutulun; The legend of the hills . Sas pictures studio bought the rights to Shuudertsetseg's book, The coral bracelet in 2007 and the movie was titled as the movie with the most views that year. Mongol content has also made one of her novel, A world with cloud patterns into a movie. Shuuder production's next project is the Red serpent series, which also takes the idea from one of her novels. They are also planning to make a sequel to Princess khutulun, an action movie, Khutulun raids the Kharkhorum.
