These include defaulters like Anil (Ashish Chaudhary) and his wife, Shilpa Sharma (Neha Oberoi), who have taken a loan to buy their house, car & honeymoon so that they can get married. Anil is addicted to pornographic films, and he spends money to buy pirated CDs of the same. Neha is always angry with Anil because he has a roving eye, and he flirts with attractive women even in front of Neha. Chandrakant (Khulbhushan Kharbanda) lives with his son, Arjun Desai. Arjun parties all night with his friends and returns home late at night. Chandu is worried about Arjun's future, and he says that he wants to do an MBA from London, which will cost a lot of money. Chandu's friends tell him that if he does not provide an opportunity to Arjun Chandu takes a loan to finance his son's MBA dream. The bank gives him a personal loan of Rs 4 Lakhs, at a high rate of interest. DJ Ryan Breganza (Arjun Rampal) had a fickle girlfriend, Nancy (Malika Arora). Ryan borrows cash on his credit card and believes that he wants to die owing money to people. Ryan uses the address of his friends on his credit card applications. Ryan uses the cash to party in expensive night clubs with his super model girlfriend, who has expensive tastes. Prerna Joshi (Urmila Matondkar). Prerna's husband was murdered by loan sharks, but police report says her husband committed suicide. As a result, the bank is refusing to honor the insurance claim. Prerna has taken a loan of Rs 10 Lakhs to pay a local goon Rafiq Bhai to change the police report & claim the insurance amount. The insurance claim is for Rs 2 Crores. Rafiq says that he will asks one of his goons who is already in prison (who was imprisoned after the husband's death), to testify that he murdered Prerna's husband. 1 year later, Anil & Neha are trying to divorce & have stopped paying EMIs. Chandrakant is looking for a job to pay his dues. Chandu gets a job with his previous employer Babu (Anant Mahadevan). Nancy breaks up with Ryan. Nancy says that Ryan is a compulsive liar who gets more calls from banks than from music companies. And he ends up spending all his time hiding from bank officials. Nancy was responsible for Ryan running up credit card bills of more than Rs 3 Lakhs. Prerna is still stuck as Rafiq took the money & died without completing the job. All of them have borrowed huge amounts but are unable to return them. After the bank makes some attempts to recover the loans, the loans are transferred to a recovery agency, in this case to Sattar Bhai. All of them land up with Sattar's collection agency. The collection agency promises the bank to recover the money within a week. The news channels and papers are full of stories of Sattar and his agency using strong arm tactics for lean recovery. Sattar wants to be a politician & his mentor Yusuf Bhai asks him to empathize with people & be nice to them. The mentor tells Sattar that to go do good deeds Sattar needs a good intention as well. Only then the public will trust him as a politician. Yusuf says that Sattar can only be a good politician when the people support him. Sattar would need to remove his fear from people's hearts and minds. Sattar is now the savior and the solution for all those caught in the debt trap. The agency includes employees including Gaffur Bhai (Daya Shankar Pandey), Prem Prakash Patel (Manoj Joshi), Mumbai Central (Snehal Dabi) and others. Sattar starts helping people. Anil tells him that Neha slapped him when she caught him watching porn & he accused her of having sex with other guys. She is also angry at him for not taking financial responsibility of their dues. Sattar sends some of his goons to scare Neha, so that she gets back together with Anil. Chandu tells Sattar that Arjun never went for his MBA after he got hold of the money. Sattar is smitten by Prerna & asks his goons to turn her away as he doesn't want to meet her as a don. He confronts Ryan at his DJ club, when Prerna walks in & Ryan tells him that Prerna is his very good friend. Actually, Ryan didn't even know Prerna, he just took advantage of the knowledge that Sattar was interested in her. But Ryan manages to get Sattar a date with Prerna & then proceeds to teach him manners. At the dinner Prerna is only interested in getting Sattar to help her get the insurance money. Sattar goes on his best behavior & is honest with Prerna. She has a nice evening with her, but says she is not interested in him. Because of Sattar Anil & Neha get back together. Sattar visits Chandu's house & threatens Arjun. This puts him online & he gets a job. He also helps Ryan get a job with a music company & finally impresses Prerna enough that she falls in love with him. Sattar becomes a respected politician & cracks down on unfair lending practices by banks.

Taxi No. 9 2 11 focuses on Raghav Shastri (Nana Patekar), a cab driver in Mumbai who lies to his wife Sunita (Sonali Kulkarni) about his job (he has lost 23 jobs in 15 yrs because of his bad temper), pretending to be an insurance salesman. Raghav owes 3 months of taxi rent (Rs 30,600) to Tiwari (Shankar Sachdev).. One day, he gives Jai Mittal (John Abraham), the spoiled son of a late businessman, a ride. Jai is fighting for ownership rights of his late father's estate. The cab gets into an accident (Jai paid Raghav a lot of money to drive fast, since he was late for court) with Jai escaping as he's in hurry (and leaves Raghav to deal with the angry mob). Jai loses the key to the vault containing his father's will in the back of Raghav's taxi. Shyam Mittal (Akash Khurana), Jai Mittal's father was sick of Jai's casual attitude towards life. When Shyam died, Jai finds that Shyam left everything to his friend Arjun Bajaj (Shivaji Satam).. Jai had a court case that day and he was heading to the bank vault to fetch the will on his way to the court. His own car was wrecked in an accident the night before and hence he was cabbing it. Jai realizes that he the lost the key, when he gets to the vault. Jai returns to the accident site only to find that the police has arrested Raghav. Jai goes to the police station to demand his key back. Raghav decides to hide it from Jai. Jai is clueless and visits the vault again to get help.. Meanwhile Raghav is being transferred to another station and he encounters his wife on the way. Before she can see him, Raghav escapes from police custody. Jai returns to the station, frustrated, as the vault people wont do anything without the key.. He takes Raghav's address from the Inspector. In retaliation, Jai goes to Raghav's house and tells his wife what he really does for a living. Its 2 pm and Jai is already late for court. Sunita leaves Raghav, taking their son. Raghav decides to take revenge. Raghav and Jai vow to kill each other in their fight for their properties. When Raghav fails to kill Jai (He removes the nuts from Rupali's car tires, which she had lent Jai to try and find the vault key. Jai is stranded on the highway when the wheel comes off and narrowly misses an oncoming truck that plows into Rupali's car) he targets Jai's girlfriend, Rupali (Sameera Reddy). Meanwhile Advocate Shivraj Behl (Nasser Abdullah) and Rupali struggle in court to convince the judge that Jai is on his way. The judge gives a final deadline of 11 30 am the next morning to produce this "other" will according to which Shyam left his property to Jai. Jai and Shivraj conspire to send goons after Raghav to recover the key. But Raghav fights them off. Raghav then chases Rupali, when she leaves Jai's apartment, and she is saved by Jai by hair's breadth. Jai lets Rupali escape and he attacks Raghav. They have a dirty car fight but both survive, but Raghav's cab is destroyed by an oncoming train after its gets stuck at a crossing. Raghav goes to the vault and tricks the staff there to gain access to Jai's vault. He withdraws the will and goes to Jai's place. Jai returns to his apartment at night and discovers the will, torn to pieces and pasted on the wall of his apartment. Jai becomes depressed and lonely after his friends leave him. Rupali dumps him, indicating she wanted him only for his fortune. Jai tries to make a deal with Arjun Bajaj, offering to withdraw the case for half the property. But Arjun refuses as Shyam really wanted Jai to mend himself and make a life without Shyam's wealth. Losing everything that used to be precious, Jai realizes the hard-hitting life and starts respecting his father and his work. On the other side Raghav is caught again by police (when he goes to deposit the fees for his kids school) and taken to police station where his wife tells him his real character and problem within himself. Soon, he realizes his mistake. Jai, having realized the value of close ones, then bails Raghav out of jail. Raghav insists they have a drink and they go to Jai's house for one. They find out that they share the same birthday. Raghav gives back his will, which he had hidden in the sofa, and says that he had never destroyed it - the torn will on the wall is a fake. Raghav then goes to the railway station to stop his wife and son from leaving him, but arrives a little too late. He goes back home where he sees a birthday cake on the table. He feels that he is hallucinating, but gets a pleasant shock when he sees his wife and son standing there, singing him a birthday song (and finds out that it was Jai who brought them back). Jai confronts Arjun Bajaj (Shivaji Satam), the friend and custodian of the property of Jai's father, whom he tells that he has realized the value of life and does not want his father's property and takes a leave. Just as he drives out, his car collides with another car driven by a Woman (Priyanka Chopra), though initially both seem to be angry at each, later Jai apologizes and asks for her number, promising to pay for damages. The movie ends as both smile at each other and drive away; indicating a new romantic beginning.

A man captures a hospital and its staff for his child's operation, which turns into a hostage situation and a media circus. Ravi Rajput comes from a poor family, his father was a foreman at a mill, and could not afford to send Ravi to a private school. Ravi studied in Municipal school, got a job in a mill, got married to Saru, who subsequently gave birth to their son, Gaurav. The proud parents watch as Gaurav grows up, starting walking, talking, and feigning illness just to stay home and watch World Cup Cricket. Then their lives are turned upside down when Gaurav faints while playing cricket, they take him to the nearest hospital in Bandra, where Doctors Nita and Sen inform them that their son is dying until and unless he receives a heart transplant, the cost of which is 15 lakhs rupees. A heart is available for transplant but the hospital will perform the surgery after they receive the money in advance. A desperate Ravi turns to his insurance company, which declines to renew his policy; his employer, with whom he has worked for over 11 years, can only sanction Rs.75000/-. When nothing works out and Dr. Sen informs that his son will soon be discharged, Ravi gets a gun, holds 30 people hostage in the hospital until his son gets the necessary surgery. DCP Rane is assigned to this matter and his orders are to kill Ravi and end this drama. But Ravi persists and finally he is told that Gaurav will soon be operated upon. Relieved, Ravi decides to let go of all the hostages, and it is then that he finds out that a surgery is taking place - but not of his son, but of an elderly politician, the President of the ruling political party, Narayan Swami. Their wives Bhavana (Ayesha Takia), Diya (Esha Deol) and Sonia (Soha Ali Khan) are busy with their everyday lives, and their husbands feel ignored by them. Bhavana constantly uses religion as an excuse to not be intimate with her husband, Diya aspires to be an actress for Mr.Y (Rajpal Yadav) (Y tells Diya to get her beauty sleeps and hence she abstains from sex), and Sonia is a lawyer who is obsessed with doing cases with her partner H.S Gulati (Ali Asgar) (she is a winner and has a constant backlog of cases and as such has never got time for sex and frolics). The three men try to commit suicide as Veer tries to hang himself on a tree but falls, Aryan drinks expired rat poison and Raj wishes he was run over by a train but their suicide plan does not work. They meet Kothari (Satish Shah) who is also trying to commit suicide because he had three companies that have broken down. The three men get a job as Kothari hires them to work for him (the guys save Kothari from suicide attempt and give him ideas to relaunch his products with a different branding which are sure to turn them into a super success). Soon the three men come across Kothari's daughters: Madhuri (Riya Sen), Rekha (Aarti Chhabria) and Dimple (Sophie Choudry). It is not long before they are tempted by them. Kothari wants the guys to date his daughters and then dump them, so that their hearts are broken and then they agree to marry grooms of his choice. Veer goes after Rekha, Aryan goes after Madhuri, and Veer after dimple. The trio are successful in getting the girls to love them, but now don't want to let go. But they are ordered to return home by Kothari (the girls were in France). The girls decides to pursue them in Mumbai. Unfortunately for them, Lucky Bhai (Sanjay Dutt) is out to make their life hell and expose them to their unassuming wives. while the trio were away in France, Lucky Bhai entered their lives by befriending their wives and becoming the "defacto" Rakhi Bhai.. The guys try to convince their wives to let them get married twice.. But Lucky Bhai intervenes and thwarts their evil designs. Undeterred the guys decide to continue dating their girlfriends, but Lucky sees them together at a water park. Lucky tells their wives about their affairs, but the wives refuse to believe Lucky and have complete faith in their husbands. Lucky follows the guys to Kothari's house and meets Kothari. He learns how Kothari asked the 3 guys to woo his daughters. He takes a pic of the 3 guys and the 3 daughters with him. Meanwhile the wives and the daughters meet at a resort and start bonding at home as well. The guys try to uncover Lucky's past, but only find that he is a nationally decorated hero from Punjab, who helped capture terrorists in the state. Things take a serious turn when the guys capture Lucky and wrap him inside a coffin and throw him off a cliff to get rid of him. But Lucky survives and decides to torture the trio.. Meanwhile Kothari is pissed since the guys bought sports car on his dime to woo his daughters. The trio wants to marry the daughters and refuse to adhere to the initial agreement to break their hearts. In response Kothari goes to the wives and admits the truth. Lucky advises the wives to have their own affairs to set their husbands on the right path. But the husbands are pretty pissed to see their wives dancing with their friends.. Each complains how they tried to win their love, without success and hence were driven to cheating on them.. They decide to leave the house. The guys decide to marry the daughters. But on the happy occasion the daughters had called the wives (who are their friends) as witnesses. The whole drama plays out as the wives sign the divorce papers with their husbands and the daughters refuse to marry the guys as they feel cheated and misled. The guys are left alone. Once again the three friends commit suicide by standing on top of a ladder in the middle of 2 buildings. The wives are out there trying to stop them from committing suicide. They join them on the ladder, but they slip and are left hanging as well. Now Kothari arrives with a chainsaw and tries to cut the ladder, as he is pissed she now his daughters hate even the idea of marriage. The wives drop one by one and are saved by Lucky. Raj falls in garbage, Aryan on electric wires, Veer inside a dog van. They all learn their lesson and apologize to their wives.

His publishers, hoping that they have unleashed a goldmine, are disappointed with his subsequent works, and soon Shaukat is depressed to such an extent that he almost gives up writing. Then he decides to write a story on a woman named Tamanna, and figures that he will base this story on none other than Antara herself. For this purpose he starts to make note of her every movement, and it is then that he finds out that she has an admirer in fellow-teacher, Yash, a dashing young man - with a bright future ahead of him. Shaukat also finds out that Antara has never mentioned Yash to him, nor has she informed Yash that she is married. Indian Army Major Ranvir Kaul (Amitabh Bachchan) and some 30 of his colleagues were captured in Pakistan and held under brutal conditions for 33 years. The jail is headed by Maj Qureshi (Piyush Mishra), who does not like the brutal torture of the prisoners. Kaul attempts another escape (he steals a lighter from his torturer and uses that to light his guard's face on fire, when he was being transported between prisons) but is caught, beaten, berated and thrown back in prison. Eijaz (Aditya Srivastava) is the ISI officer in charge of torturing them. During the fracas one of his men does flee and through a sympathetic friend, Jabbar (Akhilendra Mishra), sends a letter home. Kaul's wife (Tanuja) and son Gaurav (Akshaye Khanna) petition the Indian Army but the General, though sympathetic, has his hands tied. He raises the subject and Pakistan will deny it and immediately the men will be shot; he cannot authorize Army action absent hard evidence (not just a letter); there are no other options. Kaul's son, Gaurav, sets off to find his father. he is not sure if Ranvir is still alive, but his mother is resolute in her conviction. Other prisoners include Naru (Ashraful Haque), Anand (Rajendra Gupta), Nayyar (Kamlesh Sawant) & others. Gaurav smuggles himself into Pakistan (By getting captured as a Pakistani dead person and is thrown across the border by BSF in a body exchange) (Gaurav travels by train but is recognized by a policeman from the India matchbox he carries. Gaurav manages to kill the policeman and continue ahead) and meets Jabbar and discovers (he captures an interrogates a guard from the first jail) that his father has been transferred to a different prison camp (Since the original prison was being inspected by the Human right commission), Saran Jail under the cunning and sadistic Sohail (Kay Kay Menon). Sohail hangs one prisoner who had tried to escape during the transfer process, on the day of their arrival at his jail. Radhika (Amrita Rao) is Jabbar's daughter and falls in love with Gaurav. Kaul meets another set of captured Indian POWs (Capt. Ajit Verma (Nishikant Dixit)) at this new prison. Kaul attempts another escape. One man sacrifices himself on the electric fence (Actually Ranvir had got the short stick, but his junior sacrificed himself to save Ranvir) as others go through. Sohail bemusedly sighs as the others, once past the fence, are blown up by the landmines (10 soldiers die in the attempt). Kaul and the remaining prisoners are again beaten and kicked back into their barracks. One of the prisoners, Khan (Sanjay Dutt), manages to evade the landmines (by jumping over the dead bodies) and escapes. Gaurav meets him accidentally, while Khan was being pursued by trained dogs and Pakistani military police and brings him to safety. Gaurav attacks a military courier and, using his uniforms, infiltrates a Pakistan Army office block. Gaurav is caught by Eijaz, but Khan had followed Gaurav and saves his life. He steals a set of plans which reveal a water main under the prison. His father and the men can dig their way to this main and crawl out. With great reluctance Khan gets arrested again and tells Gaurav that the escape will happen in 10 days. Sohail correctly guesses that Khan is back for a reason. Khan discloses to Kaul that his son is here; this news, and the water main, is a great inspiration for the men. The men quietly begin digging a tunnel to the water main. They discover the body of an Indian Army Captain Jatin (Raj Zutshi) in the debris under the prison, but this Jatin is among them! Khan and Kaul realize that he is in fact a Pakistani spy. Gaurav and Khan had planned the escape for the night of the tenth and Jatin, the spy, had dutifully reported this back to Sohail. Kaul and Khan decide that the escape will happen on the ninth. Jatin is not told of this, but the men manage to send a coded message to Gaurav. The following day Khan notices the number 9 scrawled on an army supply truck entering the prison: it is Gaurav's reply. He will await the men near the water main outlet on the ninth. On the night of the escape the men overpower the guards (Ranvir stays out of the barracks as the men sneak in a dummy to maintain the head count. Then the major attacks the guards at night to steal the keys and rescues the men from their cabin) and kill Jatin. They enter the water main and begin digging away the last few meters of remaining debris. The knocking in the pipes travels up to Sohail's kitchen sink; Sohail quickly discovers the escape and hotly pursues the men down the pipe. Gaurav digs from the other side and, just in the nick of time, the debris is cleared, and father and son are reunited. The men make it through. One of them (Jatta (Raghuvir Yadav)) sacrifices himself on a land mine inside the water main which caves in and blocks Sohail. Rajan (Arif Zakaria) also stays back at the camp to fire at the Pakistani and prevent them from pursuing his comrades. Gaurav leads his father and the men to a railway line, but the train is delayed till morning. The men split up to avoid detection and arrange to meet at dawn near a border point village. They arrive at the border point, but Sohail and his men are in close pursuit. There is a firefight. Khan puts up a brave fight but is shot down. Ranvir Kaul and Gaurav and the handful of remaining prisoners finally get across the border in a Pakistan army truck. Sohail is right behind them, but his jeep is disarmed and he is surrounded by Kaul and the prisoners. Kaul points to the border line behind them; they are now on Indian soil. Kaul, now an Indian Army soldier, attacks and kills Sohail in hand-to-hand combat, and throws his body across the border. The film ends as Ranvir Kaul and his men are reinstated in the Indian Army and salute the Indian tricolor.

To pay off their gambling debt, four best friends kidnap an organized crime figure having mistaken him for a wealthy businessman. Bobby, Lucky, Jai and Omi are four young men, each one with his own reason to come to the great city of Mumbai. They meet en route to Mumbai and become best friends. Lucky is a cardsharp with a magnificent winning streak. But when he plays his first high-stakes card game, he is cheated into losing by a shady gangster Aslambhai and ends up owing a large amount of money. Omi hatches a plot to kidnap a rich businessman whom he has seen in a bar. The kidnapping goes as planned, but then they discover that the person they have kidnapped is not a businessman but a powerful and deadly organized crime figure named Musabhai. Musabhai would be more than happy to get rid of the four for their nerve but discovers that by kidnapping him, they unintentionally thwarted a mob hit on his life which was to take place sometime later. In exchange for sparing their life, Musa recruits the four youngsters to help him in striking back at his longtime rival Sultan. —Soumitra Bobby, Lucky, Jai & Omi are four close friends, who live in a small town, but have dreams of making it big, especially in a city like Bombay. So they accumulate enough money to travel to Bombay, and live a comfortable life there. Lucky is the card-sharp and he tries his skill with Aslambhai, and succeeds considerably. When his friends coax him to play some more, he does and not only loses everything - but owes Aslam a whooping seven lakh rupees. Since they do not have the money, Aslam gives them seven days to return the money to him or else.... The friends sit and ponder their fate, when one of them comes upon a an idea to kidnap a rich businessman, demand a hefty ransom, get the money, release the hostage, and live comfortably the rest of their lives. After some discussions, they find out that one such businessman frequents a bar every week, they accordingly chloroform him, and bring him to their hideout and tie him to a chair. When the businessman comes he tells them to check in any police station as to his identity. LOC Kargil opens with a dramatic shot of an Indian soldier's wireless set chirping frantic commands from one of the army bases, calling a patrol to report in while the radio operator lies dead in the snow. After frantic attempts from battalions to locate their lost patrols, the Indian Army HQ in Jammu and Kashmir decides to deploy more troops. They suffer a rude shock when company and even battalion-sized attacks are beaten back by the largely unknown enemy sitting on top of the steep and treacherous peaks surrounding Kargil, Mushkoh Valley, Drass, Batalik and the Kaksar sectors. After these terrible and surprising reverses, the decision is taken to go ahead with maximum mobilization and move its best fighting units into the area of operations. Orders are not to cross LOC. The first unit deployed is 1/11 Gorkha Rifles (1st Battalion, 11th Regiment) who are specialists in high-altitude warfare. 1/11 is led by its commanding officer, Col. Lalit Rai (Sudesh Berry), and has the charismatic and brave Lt. Manoj Pandey (Ajay Devgan) leading one of its platoons. Subsequently, the 18th Grenadiers (which was in the Kashmir Valley guarding against terrorist infiltration when they were urgently summoned to help throw out the intruders) are deployed. The Grenadiers were led by Colonel Khushal Thakur (Raj Babbar). Among the officers and soldiers were men like Lt. Col R Vishwanathan (Mohnish Behl), Major Rajesh Adhikari (Karan Nath), Lt. Balwan Singh (Akshaye Khanna), Captain Sachin Nimbalkar (Vineet Sharma), and Grenadiers Yogendra Singh Yadav (Ashutosh Rana & Manoj Bajpai). Other units like the 17th Jat, 2nd Rajputana Rifles, 22 & 16 Grenadiers, 2 Naga, 1 Bihar, 8 Sikh, 18 Garhwal Rifles, 12 JAK LI, 3 Punjab and 13th J&K Rifles are inducted into the theatre of conflict. The first assault is by the 1/11 Gorkhas advance platoon led by Lt. Manoj Pandey which links with the beleaguered and severely mauled Sikh Bn. They follow up to launch its attack on Kukarthang post, a very heavily defended enemy position supported by mortar units and artillery batteries on the Pakistani side of LOC. The Gurkhas take Kukarthang after suffering heavy casualties, revealing that the enemy is a trained army unit being given full-fire support from across the LOC. The second battle is at the strategic Tololing mountain which sits astride National Highway 1, the main supply route for the entire Northern Kashmir sector including Siachen and Leh. Col. Khushal's 18th Grenadiers 1st company, led by Major Adhikari, attacks Tololing. The company is held up midway to the top due to heavy fog; it waits for clear weather. The men when half asleep suffer intense shelling from artillery and mortars, causing casualties and panic. They try to get to safety by moving up the mountain but are pushed down by heavy small-arms fire from intruders dug into the well-prepared position atop the mountain. Subsequent counter-attacks from the Indians are stifled by stiff resistance, in the absence of artillery support for the Indians, claiming the lives of Major Adhikari and Lt. Col. Vishwanathan. The 18th Grenadiers are relieved by 2nd Rajputana Rifles, commanded by Col. Ravindranath (Ashish Vidyarthi), which moves in with an artillery battery of 110 mm field artillery and acclimatized troops. They launch a multi-pronged attack under artillery cover which ends in success but at the cost of losing many officers and ranks, including Capt. Vijayant Thapar (Amar Upadhyay), Maj. Padmapani Acharya (Nagarjuna Akkineni) and Maj. Vivek Gupta (Himanshu Malik). All this happens while the 13th J&K Rifles led by Lt. Col. Y K Joshi (Sanjay Dutt) stands by in case the 2nd Raj Rif fails. The 13th JAK Rif is blooded at Rocky Mount where they take the field after suffering heavy casualties. They follow it up with another victory at Point 5140 where Lt. Vikram Batra (Abhishek Bachchan) distinguishes himself by taking the south face of Pt 5140 without any casualties and is promoted to captain. The decisive phase of the war has come. 18th Grenadiers are assigned to take Tiger Hill, 17th Jat to Three Pimple complex feature, 1/11 Gorkhas to Khalubar Ridge and 13th J&K to Bunker Complex. The Grenadiers take Tiger Hill after a daring stealth attack by the elite Ghatak section, losing its lead Nk Yogender Singh Yadav (Ashutosh Rana). Only one of them Grenadier Yogendra Singh Yadav (Manoj Bajpayee) survives to link up with the rest of the battalion. 17th Jat suffers heavy casualties with Captain Anuj Nayyar (Saif Ali Khan) and several others killed and injured, but is able to secure Three Pimple complex. 1/11 Gorkhas link up with 22 Grenadiers at the base of Khalubar Ridge after braving an intense creeping barrage of artillery. Pandey somehow keeps the sagging morale of the weary unit up till the battalion begins its attack. The plans go awry as Gurkha CO Col Rai is injured by machine gun fire. Pandey volunteers to take out the bunkers which are holding up the attack. The machine guns are taken out, but Pandey is killed in action. The last battle is fought by the 13th J&K attacking Bunker Complex, but the unit gets split up. Capt Batra is sent to link up with Captain Nagappa (Nagender Choudhary) who has been captured one bunker and surrounded by the enemy. Batra links up with Capt. Nagappa but is pinned down himself by heavy enemy fire. He alone takes out two bunkers but is mortally wounded. The 13th JAK pursues the enemy to the LOC but stops due to orders not to cross the LOC. Finally, India declares 'OPERATION VIJAY' a success and victory and secures all its captured heights from the adversary. Just like J. P. Dutta's previous war movie BORDER, the Indian Military provided technical and material assistance during its production and filming. Weapons used in Kargil War like different variants of INSAS rifle family as well as the Famous Swedish Bofors artillery guns and BM-21 multiple rocket launchers. Shivani needs a little help the next a boy named Mayur comes to meet her, but she does extremely well. Mayur finds her funny and engaging and decides to bring his parents for a formal discussion in the next meeting. Meanwhile, Sanju stakes the family jewels kept in Dadi's safe. Shivani has now fallen in love with Sanju. Shivani tells Dadi that she does not want to marry Mayur, so Dadi sends Sanju to convince Shivani. Sanju then brings Dadaji and Mahesh close together and makes them realize that they still love each other. Sanju then cures Satish of his stutter. Sanju wants Shivani to marry Mayur, as Mayur comes from a rich family. After the marriage, Mayur's family will help support Dilip's businesses and Mahesh promises to get funds for Sanju's business investment as well. More and more, Sanju realizes how dear this family has become to his heart. But still the little orphan Munni is at the mercy of Jogiya. There is trouble at Dilip's factory. The union workers go back on their word and demand more money to keep the factory open. The workers have been paid by Dilip's business rival and when his factories are shut, the rivals will take Dilip's orders and cause a loss of Rs 2.5 Crores to Dilip. Dilip bets Sanju to convince Shivani to Mayur, as his family can handle the business. Shivani is not OK to be sacrificed at the altar of family unity and happiness. Shivani challenges Sanju that she will agree to the marriage when Sanju admits that he loves Shivani. Sanju is forced to admit that he loves Shivani. Roshni lives with Sharda and her mother (Kamini Kaushal). Roshni wants to know about her dad, but Sharda would always scold her when she asked about her father, and where he is, or what he looked like. Sharda refuses to answer any questions regarding Roshni's father. After Sharda learns she has cancer, she asks her family friend Ahuja (Anang Desai) to take Roshni to Mumbai, so that she learns to live without her and be independent. Roshni is introduced to Rahul Malhotra (Rahul Roy), and they share a mutual attraction. Rahul is a businessman and trades in export / import items. He frequently travels overseas as well. When Rahul learns that she is an aspiring singer, he assists in her career. Rahul gets her an audition with HMV, and as a result her first song is also recorded. Soon, Roshni becomes a major singing sensation. She has a devoted fan named Jagannath, alias Jaggu (Sanjay Dutt), who is a petty thief. Pakya (Laxmikant Berde) works with Jaggu. Jaggu has been following Roshni's career for 2 years now. Jaggu earns good money by selling Roshni's concert tickets in black and follows her all over the country. Sometimes, he even gets on stage to garland her with money. Jaggu is in love with Roshni, but she rejects him. Roshni tells Jaggu that she has a certain lifestyle, and he is only a petty thief. Jaggu promises to earn enough money to be able to afford all the luxuries that Roshni wants in life. Jaggu robs a bank and buys everything on the list (a mansion, an expensive car, lots of dresses and jewelry and so on). Jaggu is eventually arrested for his crimes by Inspector (Mushtaq Khan). But eventually, Jaggu escapes custody. Roshni's mother reveals on her deathbed that Roshni's father Prakash is alive. Prakash had come from Mauritius to do business in India. They met a club and soon got married. Prakash went to Delhi for some official work. He was forced to abandon his family over a government level criminal accusation. Prakash tried to contact Sharda but Roshni's grandmother's reluctance to allow him back home, thwarted all his attempts. She tells Roshni that that she is free to go find her father. Roshni decides to start in Mauritius. Since Rahul is also in Mauritius, Ahuja asks him to pick Roshni from the airport. Since things are too hot for Jaggu in Bombay, he travels to Hong Kong to tide some time. Jaggu is employed by Prakash, who now lives in Hong Kong. In Mauritius, Rahul and Roshni meet Prakash's brother (Mushtaq Khan), who hates Prakash. He says that Prakash's actions in India ruined the families reputation in Mauritus. When Roshni insists, he reveals that Prakash is in Hong Kong. Roshni calls the number in Hong Kong, but Prakash refuses to accept her as his daughter, even though he remembers Sharda. Roshni refuses to give up and decides to go to Hong Kong. Before the flight, Rahul hides 3 drug packets in Roshni's luggage, and his own ticket is booked in a different name. Rahul and Roshni go to Hong Kong to look for her father, Roshni is arrested for trafficking cocaine, and Rahul disappears. Inspector Phillip (Tom Alter) picks Roshni up from the baggage belt after her luggage is marked by sniffer dogs for drugs. Roshni is quickly found guilty and remanded to a prison where inmates are kept barefoot and in squalid conditions. The warden (Bob Christo) sexually abuses the female inmates assisted by female cop (Kunika). Roshni befriends fellow inmate Angela (Soni Razdan), who is on death row for drugs smuggling. Angela's brother Neel is in the male prison block. Angela bribes the guards to meet him from time to time. Jaggu sees Roshni's picture in the papers and Roshni asks for Jaggu's help in finding her father Prakash. Jaggu tells Prakash that her own daughter is in jail in Hong Kong. Prakash goes to visit Roshni in jail as her attorney. Prakash is really emotional, but doesn't divulge that he is her father. He tells Roshni to accept that she brought the drugs for personal use, and she would go to jail for a few years. As a smuggler, she will be put to death. Roshni refuses to accept a crime that she did not commit. Prakash gets Rahul's photo from a camera in Roshni's luggage. Inspector Phillip wants a bribe of $50,000 to arrest Rahul. Jaggu enters a street fight contest to earn the money to pay off Phillip. Phillip changes the drugs to talcum powder, and Prakash manages to get bail for Roshni at the next court hearing. Roshni starts loving Jaggu. However, a Hong Kong Officer Lee Ming suspects Phillip of foul play and starts investigating the case. Phillip is arrested for bribery and the court convicts Roshni of drug smuggling and sentences her to death. Back in prison, Angela is shot to death as per her sentence, along with her brother. The only way out now is for Roshni to escape prison. Prakash finds that 7 prisoners escaped in WW II from the prison where Roshni has been kept, by using a tunnel network underneath the jail. Jaggu gets arrested for vandalism and is sent to prison. He runs afoul of the jailer and the female cop, themselves lovers, who beat him in front of Roshni. Jaggu ends up in the medical ward. Prakash works to help them escape by arranging a fake passport for Roshni. Roshni bribes the female guard to let her visit Jaggu, but the guard takes the money and refuses to let Roshni go to Jaggu. A fight ensues between Roshni and the female guard, in which the latter is killed. The warden intervenes when Roshni reaches Jaggu and they try to escape the jail via the drain system under the prison. Jaggu attacks and kills the warden. They escape the jail and return to India with the help of tickets and passports arranged by Prakash. At the Hong Kong airport, Prakash is questioned by the police, and Roshni learns that he is her father, and that he had fled the country years earlier when he had been wrongfully accused of treason. Later at Rahul's house, Rahul admits that he had been dealing with drugs that resulted in Roshni's arrest. She slaps him for deceiving her and gets him arrested. With Prakash's blessings, Roshni and Jaggu get married.

The village of Dhauladhar is situated in the mountains set among some of most scenic beauties that nature has to offer. Inder (Tinnu Anand) is a TV serial director who arrives in Dhauladhar to film his latest episode. He hires a guide (Sudhir Pandey) who helps him scout for potential shooting locations. He takes Inder to a large banyan tree which has 2 graves under its vast canopy. An old Medicant (Sanjay Dutt) lives under the banyan tree, who says that the graves belong to Sahibaan and Gopi and proceeds to narrate their story. Sahibaan (Madhuri Dixit) lives a poor lifestyle in a small village in rural India along with her mom (Anjana Mumtaz), dad Balakram (Satyendra Kapoor), and a mentally challenged cousin Kheru (Javed Khan). Balakram makes a living selling dolls. Sahibaan is in love with a homeless laborer, Gopi (Rishi Kapoor), who lives near temples and eats whatever the villagers give him. Gopi plays a melodious tune on his flute, which attracts Sahibaan to him. Gopi works as a shepherd to earn some money for his sustenance. Sahibaan is childish in her behavior and doesn't realize that she is a grown woman now. Sahibaan is 18 years old but insists that her father carries her on his shoulders and plays marbles with the children of the village. Gopi admonishes her and one day she falls into a river. Gopi looks at her water drenched body and sends her home. Gopi is very afraid of the water and says that he doesn't know how to swim. That day she grows up, throws her marbles away and starts helping her mother around the house. Sahibaan learns to cook food and sew clothes as well. She expresses her love to Gopi, who accepts. The area is ruled by ruthless killer, alcoholic and womanizer Kunwar Vijay Pal Singh (Sanjay Dutt). He is sympathetic towards the poor and has a rivalry with the landlord of the nearby province Tikka (Kiran Kumar). Tikka is considered ruthless towards his workers and Vijay stands up to him and his goons and fights for the rights of his village's workers. Vijay increases the daily wages for his workers from Rs 1.5/day to Rs 3/day. Due to this all of Tikka's workers come to work for Vijay and this enrages Tikka. Tikka forcibly takes the workers back to him lumber mills by whipping them and torturing their families. In retaliation, Vijay kills one of Tikka's supervisors. Mrs Tikka (Beena Banerjee) & Tikka's sister Rajkumari Razee (Sonu Walia) live with Tiika. Every night Vijay ravishes a new prostitute and sends her away the next morning. Tikka sends an assassin to Kill Vijay, but Vijay kills him instead. Tikka bribes Inspector (Mangal Dhillon) to open a murder investigation against Vijay. Inspector tries to get Vijay's fingerprints on his gun, in order to frame him, but Vijay is too clever and had already worn gloves. One day while chasing a rabbit, Sahibaan ends up in the palace ground of Vijay & is abducted by his guards and left at the mercy of Vijay, but Sahibaan manages to escape. Vijay, however, is unable to get her out of his mind and asks Diwan Durga Singh (Bharat Kapoor) to search high and low for her. The Diwan is able to find her during a Mela and takes several men, sweetmeats, jewelry and clothing to propose to a delighted and disbelieving Balakram and his wife. The same day Gopi was planning to ask for Sahibaan's hand in marriage from her dad. Meanwhile at the Mela, Razee was also present and was attracted to Gopi. Sahibaan's parents are angered when Sahibaan refuses to marry Vijay and asks them to get her to marry Gopi. When Gopi proposes to Balakram, Gopi is humiliated, beaten and asked to leave. Diwan returns to Vijay, who decides to kill Gopi. Vijay locates Gopi, beats him, and throws him in the river. Razee finds Gopi at a riverbank, barely alive and persuades Tikka to take him home. When Sahibaan says that Vijay had attempted to molest her, Balakram refuses to permit her to marry Vijay, despite of the fact that Vijay promises to stop drinking alcohol and having his way with women. Vijay forbids Durga Singh from abducting Sahibaan again, as he truly loves her. Both Balakram and Sahibaan set out to try and locate Gopi, as Sahibaan is convinced that he is alive. They find Gopi's clothes near a funeral pyre (these clothes were discarded by Razee as they were drenched in blood) and assumes that Gopi is now dead. Meanwhile Gopi gains consciousness under Razee's care. Tikka finds that Vijay is in love with Sahibaan. Gopi overhears this and runs after Sahibaan. Razee stops him and tells him that she loves him, but Gopi has already promised himself to Sahibaan. She convinces Gopi to come back and promises to take him to Sahibaan once the rains subside. Tikka agrees to help Razee as he wants to deny Vijay at all costs. Meanwhile Sahibaan gives up and agrees to marry Vijay. Tikka confronts Vijay but is instead beaten up by Vijay. But this gives time for Gopi to reach Sahibaan. Razee helps Gopi and Sahibaan escape, but Vijay pursues them. Durga stops Gopi and Sahibaan by putting rocks in their horse carriage path. Razee dies when the carriage overturns. Durga tries to convince Sahibaan, but she jumps into the river to escape. Vijay arrives and shoots Durga. Gopi jumps after Sahibaan. Vijay jumps to save both but can only flush out their dead bodies.

For years powerful landlords have held sway over the poor illiterate farmers, keeping them impoverished, making them work as bonded laborers for paltry loans they had taken years ago, but which now have ballooned with the interest charged on the principal. One such story is of Mukhiya Hardayal, who is on the Panchayat, and is opposed to the cruel practices of Thakur Sher Bahadur Singh. When Hardayal's wife, Krishna, passes away while delivering their second son, Karamveer, he begins to hate, treat him contemptuously, generally ignore him and holds him responsible for his wife's death. Hardayal spends all his love for his elder son, Suraj, who does live up to his father's expectations and excel in his studies, so much so that the Thakur himself loans some money to Hardayal so that Suraj can further his studies in Bombay. After Suraj leaves, Hardayal finds himself enmeshed in the Thakur's loan, unable to re-pay it with the interest, he is severely whipped and made to work as a bonded laborer. Fifteen years later, the work and the beatings have taken their toll on Hardayal, and his spine is fractured beyond repair. Suraj returns home, finds the plight of his father, confronts Thakur, who in turn offers money so that Suraj can go abroad to further his studies. A grateful Hardayal accepts this offer - only to find out that this was another ploy of the wily Thakur to separate Suraj from his family, make Karamveer and Hardayal his laborers. Hardayal continues to work for the Thakur, hoping that one day Suraj will return and all his troubles will be over. What Hardayal does not know that Suraj may never return home, as he has been apprehended with smuggling drugs - and it looks like the Thakur will continue to have his way with Hardayal and the rest of the villagers.

It is then the underworld and the general community in India is shocked when photographs of both the escapees are flashed across television sets that they are responsible for killing a Police Inspector named Amar Sinha, and that the police have issued shoot-at-sight orders for both of them. Balwant continues to avenge the innocent, not through the rules of the corrupt police, lawyers and an equally corrupt judicial system but as a vigilante judge and executioner, calling himself "Teesri Adalat". All his sentences result in death. Years later, Balwant's wife is still alive but the trauma has left her speechless. She had given birth to twins, Mahesh and Rajesh. Mahesh was separated from her in childhood but Raja lives with her. Mahesh is adopted by Inspector Ram Avtar. Raja has a sweetheart in Kavita and Mahesh woos Sunita. Vicky is determined to get a job in Dubai as he has heard of thousands of Indians making a successful living there. Ravi arranges for his visa and the money to go to Dubai. Once in Dubai, the Kapoors receive no word from him, and eventually give up on him. Vicky has encountered problems in Dubai, as he was cheated out of a job and his visa was obtained fraudulently. In order to remain in Dubai, he must work for ruthless international smuggler Rana (Paresh Rawal), and must earn his keep or be turned over to the authorities.
