Bharat is the quintessential aam aadmi, who lives in Bhopal. He is a cashier at a bank and like all bankers, has a trusted sidekick his scooter. He is also a part-time actor, and portrays the role of Lord Hanuman at the local Ramleela skit. His family consists of his wife, Nisha, a schoolteacher and his father, Shivnarayan, a patriotic, idealistic man, who dreams of a corrupt-free nation. Then there is Amita, the unwanted guest, who is a call centre employee. She is a pretty young thing, which is enough reason for Nisha to be slightly insecure about her marriage. Nisha is ambitious for her husband, and would like him to be promoted from cashier to manager at the bank. Bharat, however, has other goals. He wants to be Ram, the protagonist in Ramleela. Sattu Tripathi, an extremely bad actor, gets to portray Ram, without opposition, because he is the younger brother of the politician, MLA Manku Tripathi. Both the Tripathi brothers dislike Bharat, for different reasons. Sattu is overshadowed by Bharats superior acting skills on stage, leading to a rivalry between the two. Manku, on the other hand, is miffed with Bharat, because the extra room in the latters house is now used as a re-election campaign room by Mohanlal, Mankus adversary. And then one day, Bharats table-fan gets stolen. The police constable, Parshuram Khushwaah tells Bharat that the local paanwala, Bacchu Gulkand, can testify in court that it was none other than Chunnu Farishta, burglar par excellence, who is responsible for the crime.

Nandu (Bobby Deol) is an orphan turned assassin. He`s framed for a politician`s murder and is on the run. There, he discovers a look-alike who plans to steal his life. The doppelganger travels to Chennai and successfully impersonates Guru, tricking his family and his fiancee. When Guru returns to expose the imposter, no one believes him. A tense battle for identity follows, leading to the moment Guru's dark premonition finally comes to pass. After a tragic accident, the imposter makes one final move to replace Guru forever. Whether the real Guru can reclaim his identity remains to be seen.

Tulasi is a story of Parvataneni Tulasi Ram aka Tulasi (Venkatesh) who is sent by his father to Hyderabad to keep him away from the factional feuds in his native place, Palnadu. He becomes an architect and on one of his trips to abroad, he comes across Vasundhara aka Vasu (Nayantara), who he later marries and raises a family. As he takes them back to his village, he is intrigued by an attack on is father and turns violent. Seeing this Vasu deserts him and their son, Harsha (Atulith). He later realises that his son has a brain clot that is fatal. He summons doctors from abroad to get him treated. Just on the day of operation, his son is kidnapped by gangsters. He saves his son by killing the gangsters. Realising that violence is a neccesary evil that saved her son`s life, Vasu comes back to them.

Fighting against the powers of corruption in this day and age is Sivaji (Rajnikanth) who leads a revolt against educational institutions, who sell seats to the highest bidder. Building his own educational institutions and offering free education, he becomes the target of corrupt officials, who not only try to destroy his credibility but also try to kill him. Sivaji is directed by S. Shankar.

Guru is an MBA student who is diagnosed with ESP. Since all his visions come true, he runs away to Mumbai when he sees himself stabbing his girlfriend. Unfortunately, he has a lookalike who's a crook. Gurumoorthy (Vijay) is an Master of Business Administration (MBA) college student and is an athlete. He participates in a state level running competition where he meets Sriman who also participates in the competition. Guru understands that Sriman needs to win the competition which will help him secure a job through sports quota as he is the only bread winner for his family. Abinaya (Shriya Saran) is the daughter of a rich businessman Anand Chelliah (Ashish Vidyarthi) and is a friend of Sriman's sister. Abinaya challenges Guru that Sriman will be the winner of the competition. Guru decides to run slowly so that Sriman can become the winner. Later Abi understands that Guru has purposefully run slow behind Sriman and starts liking his character. They become good friends and slowly love blossoms between the two. Suddenly, Guru visualizes a few bizarre incidents which also occur sometime later. Guru consults a psychiatrist and he says that Guru suffers from a syndrome called Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) whereby he can get to know about certain future incidents. Guru worries that such thoughts disturb him mentally and he cannot live a peaceful life. Guru and Abi's parents get to know about their love and they plan to get the couple married. One day, Guru dreams of stabbing Abi and gets frightened that Abi will be killed by himself someday. So he decides to stay away from Abi for a few days and leaves to Mumbai without informing anyone. During the train journey, he sees Prasad (also Vijay), a fradulent bank employee from Mumbai, getting down in a station. Now Guru believes that it would be Prasad, a look alike of Guru, who will stab Abi and follows Prasad. But while crossing a road, Guru meets with an accident and gets hospitalized by the local people. Meanwhile Abi starts looking for Guru as he has not contacted her for a few days. Now, Abi meets Prasad in a shopping mall and mistakes him as Guru. Abi talks to Prasad and takes him to her home. Prasad is money minded and a womanizer, who was once born with a rich and wealthy lifestyle, only for it to end, when his parents died in a plane accident and their business partners took all the money away. Prasad understands that he has a look alike and Abi has mistaken him as her lover. Prasad decides to utilize the opportunity and plan to get married to Abi, so that he can lead a lavish lifestyle, with the help of a corrupt jeweler (Sayaji Shinde) . Guru gets discharged from the hospital and tries to contact Abi. He also comes to Chennai to meet Abi at her house. Now everyone is shocked seeing Guru and Prasad as they both look exactly similar and Abi is confused unable to find who is Guru. Prasad pretends as Guru and makes everyone believe. They conduct a running race to find the real Guru, as Guru is an athlete. But as Guru is not well due to his accident from Mumbai, Prasad wins the race which makes Abi believe Prasad as Guru. The next day, while Abi talks to Prasad, she finds that he misinterprets an event occurred before which makes her realize that it is Prasad who is with her and not Guru. She tries running away from Prasad while Prasad chases her. Guru comes to the rescue and tries to kill Prasad. When Guru is about to stab Prasad, he moves and Abi gets stabbed by Guru. Guru is shocked and Prasad beats up Guru and takes Abi with him. Prasad admits Abi in a hospital and again pretends as Guru. Abi believes that Prasad is Guru. Abi tells that how come someone is try to taking away a girl who is in love with someone else and she says that Prasad must not have born to legitimate parents. Prasad realizing his cheap behaviour, upon hearing this and confesses that he is Prasad and not Guru. Meanwhile Guru also rushes to the hospital. Prasad apologizes to Guru and Abi and leaves the place. On the way, he meets Dhanalakshmi (Namitha) whom he met during the train journey and unites with her.

A software engineer comes to India in order to serve the nation and invest in its welfare. A few corrupt officials and politicians try to stop him while he tries to do good for the poor. Held in a cell, Sivaji reflects how he came to be under police scrutiny and his subsequent arrest for a variety of economic offenses. He had returned to Chennai from the U.S. to live with his parents and maternal uncle, and had hoped to invest money in colleges and hospitals so that people who are not privileged can benefit - much to the chagrin of a sophisticated goon, Adisheshan, who threatens him, and asks him not to tread on his territory. Disregarding this and hoping to get his projects going, Sivaji runs into bureaucratic corruption and red-tape - so much so that he gives in and bribes an official Rs.4 Crores to complete his Rs.200 Crore project. An enraged Adisheshan has the local politician stop the work, but Sivaji bribes the latter Rs.50 Crores, after liquefying most of his assets. While he is busy wooing and attempting to marry Tamizhselvi/Vidyabharti Ramlingam, a new politician takes over, stops his project, and demands another Rs.50 Crores. Unable to come up with the money, Sivaji takes the matter to Court but loses, and is rendered penniless. To make matters even worse, Tamizhselvi refuses to marry him as astrologically they are not compatible. A reckless boy falls for a girl whose disapproving brother is a rich businessman.

Shivaji and his family are uprooted from their community in Sri Lanka and wind up as bonded labourers in Vishakhapatnam. The situation worsens when his jealous stepbrother enters his life.

Krishna Lanka is an island in Godavari districts. The only way of commuting to that island is by boats. Lots of people die due to bad whether conditions while they travel. Krishna Lanka's President Bullebbai wants to have a bridge to that island which costs several crores. He asks his IAS friend Venkata Ratnam to make his dream come true. Even 20 years after Venkata Ratnam leaving the village, there is no news about the bridge. Bullebbai sends his son Chandu to Hyderabad to meet Venkata Ratnam and know the progress. After coming to Hyderabad, Chandu realizes that Venkata Ratnam is very money-minded and is least bothered about bridge. The rest of the story is all about how Chandu makes Venkata Ratnam get the bridge approved by the government. —Anonymous

The film is about a common man who decides to abolish corruption altogether in the society at various levels. Fifteen Tahsildars are found missing, and the police find that fourteen of them have been released after three days, but one of them has been killed. They find some files and a tape along with the body of the dead Tahsildar. These files carry details of why the kidnapping of the Tahsildars had been done and the reason for the murder of one of them, and have the words A.C.F. written on it. It is understood by the police that these men were the Tahsildars who had indulged themselves in bribery and that they were the top 15 of the list of the corrupt Tahsildars. The A.C.F. sends the tape, with the message that they shall continue the kidnap of the corrupt officers in all the departments and that the No. 1 corrupt shall be sentenced to death according to the law of the Anti Corruption Force. The A.C.F. similarly kidnaps officials from PWD and police department and kills the top corrupt official. There is fear among the corrupt officials. They come forward to file their returns. For a while there are no illegal transactions done, but the corruption soon continues in the society due to the threatening of the local mob to sign illegal documents and accept bribes. Meanwhile, the A.C.F. finds that it is Badrinarayana who is the real reason behind this corruption scenario. Then the kidnapping continues. The case is investigated by group of several old-aged senior level officials who are very slow-moving in their progress. However, Suryam, an IPS-passed guy who is working as a constable (as unable to pay the bribe to get the officer-level job), takes up the case in order to get promotion in the department and moves ahead of those officials in a short time, taking a medical leave. He investigates the case starting with finding of the non-corrupt official in every government office, assuming that official would have collected the information of other corrupt officers and passed it to A.C.F.. He tries to figure out what is the common thing which unites them under one roof. He gradually finds out that they are alumni of National College and working for the A.C.F. under their professor and the leader of the A.C.F., Professor Tagore. Tagore is a simple man who leads a simple life during the daytime along with his adopted kids from different cultures (one is a Muslim, one is an American, and two of the kids are Hindu, etc.). He looks like a timid character, but brave in terms of his actions and he loved by all his peers. Tagore once takes one of his kids to the hospital for treating an injury and finds that the hospital is a place full of corruption who play with the lives of people for the sake of money. Tagore decides to expose the truth and catches them red-handed by faking a dead body as a patient. The hospital, unaware of his plans, continue their treatment even though they know that the person is dead and demand thousands of money for treatment. Tagore produces the documents and receipts related to their fake treatment and gets the hospital sealed by the government. The hospital dean is arrested, but he commits suicide. Badrinarayana, the dean's father, is enraged by this and attempts to take revenge on Tagore. He finds Tagore in the CCTV camera and is shocked as according to him he was dead several years ago. Tagore is a happy professor who lives with his wife Nandini, who is expecting a second child and son. On a Deepavali day, when the whole apartment is celebrating the festival, the entire building collapses due to some fault in the construction of a nearby highway, and many of the residents (including Tagore's uncle, Nandini and Tagore's son) lose their lives. Tagore rushes to the government officials, and he learns that all this was due to Badrinarayana, the owner of a construction company and builder of that highway. Tagore finds that the highway was constructed on loose soil by which the contractions caused to collapse was very well known to him. Badrinarayana and his men thrash Tagore, but Tagore escapes from them. The incidents that he faced at the office and seeing corrupt puppets in the hands of Badrinarayana, he becomes frustrated and he forms the A.C.F. (Anti Corruption Force) to fight against corruption. He also kidnaps Badrinarayana and keeps him under his custody. The constable finally finds out the people working for A.C.F. are the ex-students, and the police force captures all of them. Police men torture them to open the identity of their leader; however, they refuse to do so. Tagore, on seeing his students suffer after Badrinarayana escapes from their custody and kills them, surrenders to the Police and requests the Police to release his students. The rising support for Tagore makes the Chief Minister to meet him for higher appeal. Tagore refuses to appeal as he wants to stress the concept in the minds of everyone that if we make mistakes, we will be punished, and he himself doesn't want to violate it as he did a crime of killing four people. Tagore gives a speech in the court explaining what a student power the country has, but corruption is what is letting it down, also revealing that how he killed Badrinarayana and his brother at the gallows section in the jail. In the end, Tagore is given a normal punishment of five years and is to be released by then.
