A bunch of misfits and gangsters embarks on a journey to find a lost and stolen diamond. Raja lives in Dubai, U.A.E. and is a career-criminal, partnered by his girlfriend, Tina, and her maternal uncle, Chobey. Raja also makes additional money by masquerading as Rahul, the son of Lajwanti, who was killed in an accident. Since Chobey owes money to a gangster named Moscow Chikna, Raja decides to help him out by arranging the abduction of Rocky, a jewel thief, who has a priceless diamond in his possession. If Raja and his gang do not bring this diamond to Moscow Chikna, he has sworn to cut off their arms. When another gangster, JD, finds out about the diamond, he asks them to bring the diamond to him or else he will cut off their legs. The trio abduct Rocky - only to be threatened by a London-based gangster, Chokshi, who has recruited Gunmaster G9, who has threatened to cut off their respective necks if the diamond is not surrendered to Chokshi. Chaos prevails as the hapless trio, their lives complicated by the bumbling Kuttu Pilot, hustle to save their lives - in vain attempts to try and pacify the three gangsters.

A docile man gets enraged when a politician's son throws acid on her face and later kills the miscreant. He is then hunted by the police and politicians who wants him dead. S.P. When he died, he left the business to Arjun. Arjun loves Karan more than his own life. On his birthday Arjun puts everything in Karan and Bindiya's name. Bindiya's father had sacrificed his life for Suraj and Arjun wants to repay that debt and favor on the family. Arjun looks at Bindiya as his own daughter. Arjun eliminates all threats to Karan ruthlessly and without compromise. Karan's feelings for Bindiya are more than just of a friend; however, she is unaware of his feelings and falls in love with a sweet boy named Saahil (John Abraham) gradually. The next day, Karan sees the letter and then tears it apart. His friend Rony (Apoorva Agnihotri) humiliates Saahil about falling in love with Bindiya and being so poor. Saahil gets angry and tries to kill himself. However, when Saahil's brother Sanju (Sunil Shetty), who is a car mechanic (Sanju has a lot of respect for Arjun Rana and considers him his idol), finds him unconscious and badly wounded, he cannot control his anger and goes looking for Rony. However, when Sanju gets to the college, he sees Karan sitting down, wearing Rony's jacket with his name on the back, and starts beating him up in public. Karan is hospitalized when Sanju finds out that he has beaten Karan and not Rony. Arjun, a very powerful and wealthy gangster, wants to avenge Sanju for badly beating up his brother. However, Arjun is unaware of Bindiya's feelings for Saahil and Karan's for Bindiya. Bindiya does not have the courage to tell Arjun the truth, but tells him that she is afraid that he will take action without knowing the full truth about what happened and why.. Arjun is the godfather of the slum where Sanju lives. This slum was established by his father Suraj. Arjun begs the slum leaders to hand over Sanju to him, but they refuse. They tells him that Sanju's brother was also injured and they have a responsibility towards him as well. In response the entire slum is set on fire. Saahil is angry at Sanju and says that he could have also beaten up Karan, but didn't because he knew that the outcome would have been the destruction of the slum. Saahil berates Sanju of being selfish and never thinking of the consequences of his actions. Saahil tells Sanju to give up his violent ways. Sanju hands himself to Arjun and tells him that Arjun misused his power to punish the entire slum for the mistake that Sanju made (of beating up Karan instead of Ronny) (Arjun is shocked to know that his men disobeyed his orders and set fire to the slum). Arjun orders that the slum being rebuilt, but wants Sanju to bear the same pain inflicted on Karan. Sanju is beaten up badly by Arjun'a men and thrown back in the slums. Saahil apologizes to Sanju and decides to leave Bindiya. One month later, Saahil starts working in a cafe after leaving college and his education. Bindiya tries to meet Saahil everyday, but he escapes every time, but soon, Bindiya and Saahil fall in love again (Karan approaches Saahil and says that despite taking the hit and not retaliating, everyone only sympathizes with Saahil). Sanju also approves of her fully knowing that Bindiya is Arjun's daughter. Meanwhile, Karan returns from the hospital and decides to meet Arjun and tell him about his love. Arjun is happy to know that Karan is in love and encourages Karan to throw a party and invite his love to it. Bindiya promises Saahil to meet him at 9 am after that party. when Bindiya doesn't show up, Saahil goes to the party venue. That night, Rony challenges Saahil for a fight. Saahil beats up Rony brutally. Saahil finds out that Karan took Bindiya to a different location, all alone. Meanwhile, Karan proposes to Bindiya. Karan calls Arjun and says that Bindiya is his love and she loves him back (he lies). She tells him that she considers Karan as a best friend but loves Saahil. Karan becomes furious. After beating Rony, Saahil finds out the location and takes his gun to kill Karan. Saahil's friend takes Ronny to meet Sanju to tell him what happened and Sanju enters Arjun's bungalow to tell Arjun about Karan's reality. He beats up all his goons. Arjun cannot control his anger and starts beating up Sanju. Rony then comes to Sanju's aid and confirms the truth about Karan to Arjun. Ronny tells Arjun that Bindiya does not love Arjun, she loves Saahil. At the same time Bindiya calls Arjun on his mobile, and Arjun hears first hand how Karan tries to bully Bindiya into marrying her. Karan's love turns to a deadly obsession, and he forces Bindiya to marry him on the spot. He finds out that Bindiya had called Arjun and that he is coming to rescue her. Saahil then reaches there and eventually, a dangerous fight ensues between Saahil and Karan. Karan hits Saahil repeatedly with an iron rod in the face and knocks him unconscious. Arjun comes there to rescue Bindiya and talk to Karan. Karan shoots Sanju's arm, while Saahil regains consciousness. Karan is just about to shoot Bindiya and Saahil, but Bindiya tells Karan that she hates him because of his actions. Arjun shoots Karan with tears in his eyes, whilst the latter dies on the spot. Arjun takes Karan's body to the church and is heartbroken. Saahil, Bindiya and Sanju apologize to and pacify Arjun, saying that he was not wrong but Karan.

When his girlfriend is kidnapped by Kashmiri terrorists, a commando is tasked with kidnapping the Home Minister's daughter in order to secure his lady love's release. Major Amrish Kaul resides in Kashmir, India with his family consisting of his wife, Sudha, a daughter and his unemployed son, Ajay. Ajay meets with an accident on 2 occasions as a result of the carelessness of Neha Pandit, a school teacher. Ajay then takes a liking to her and arranges their meeting at a near-by restaurant. They both gets acquainted with each other with Ajay getting to find out that Neha is a widow. She eventually reciprocates his love and they begin to plan their wedding. Neha's father-in-law, R.K. Sharma is against this relationship at first and refuses to permit the couple to marry but eventually they convince him. A few days later Neha is abducted by a group of terrorists and Jihadis headed by the notorious Juned Afghani who is on a mission to free their leader, Naved Rabhani. Ajay is tasked with kidnapping Anita, the only daughter of India's Home Minister, Bhagwat Saxena, in exchange for the safe return of Neha. Anita is under strict security in New Zealand under Ajay's father's watchful eye. Ajay does manage to successfully carry out this task only to learn that he has been double-crossed.

Rajveer's brutal efforts to seek information from Naseer gets him behind bars, as the police refuse to believe that a confined inmate is capable of killing. Kajal's father reports the crime being the eyewitness, to police. When Karan got to know about the report, he enters Kajal's house and starts beating her father. In order to protect her father and stop Karan, she slaps him. For the first time, Karan notices her and gets in eye contact with her which stopped him (as he got stuck with beauty and charm in her eyes). And then Karan goes to Tulsi (Tabu), a prostitute in one brothel where he is not able to forget Kajal's eyes and in frustration leaves the brothel. Karan starts stalking her and when she is stopped by him in a temple. Kajal felt disgraced, faced her fear and without being scared, lashed out on him by criticizing his behavior and thinking that he wants to fulfill his lust for her, after listening to which Karan feels disgusted and leaves the temple. Karen's soft side is depicted where he saved one child, named Timepass, being mistreated by customers at a bar and took that child with him to his place after knowing that he is an orphan and lives on streets and works to survive which shows the reason of his present state, and why he wants to save the child from the horrors of life, and save that child's childhood which Karan had lost. After, Kajal and some other women are on a bus and are being harassed by some goons from which Karan saves them and hands over the goons to the police. After witnessing his courage and goodness in Karan to do the right thing, Kajal becomes infatuated with him and gets interested in him. Kajal becomes friends with Timepass from whom she gets to know Karan more and wants to be friends with him. She approached him through Timepass(child) and meets him regularly and in one meeting she made him realize the true value of friendship which Karan had never known because of his troublesome life. Once witnessing his terror in people she criticizes and asks for a promise to change his life for her. Karan who had never been asked to be good since his childhood, and now this girl wants to see him a changed man, teaches him true values of life, all this makes him want to be a good person. Karan leaves the criminal world to be with Kajal. Karan is now madly and passionately in love with Kajal and can't bear even the thought of losing her. One day at temple Kajal prays for his new beginning by expressing her love and promises that she won't let him be shattered again. Raju (Salman Khan), son of Kajal's father's childhood friend Ramakant Sahaye (Dalip Tahil), is enthusiastic, mischievous and flirtatious towards Kajal, and has come back from America to fulfill the desire of his parents for him to marry Kajal. Kajal does not know about this fact. She gets to know about it when she is told by his father about the marriage plans with Raju. She confessed to her father about her love for Karan and refuses to marry Raju, after listening to this and thinking about her afterlife with a goon, her father suffers a major heart attack. To save her father, being the righteous girl and thinking it is her duty towards her father, she agrees to marry Raju. Karan gets furious with this and goes to Kajal's house to beg for her love but Kajal disclaims her love and backs out and asks him to forget her and never to return. Kajal considers the circumstances that how she was helpless to be with Karan and in saving her father's life, she realizes that she should not dwell in her past and it is best now that she should accept the truth and move on. (Again, this shows her power to sacrifice her wishes to do what is morally right for her and what she is supposed to do). Kajal marries Raju. Karan fails to prevent the marriage and is upset, so he returns to a criminal lifestyle. Kajal promises to her father while bidding adieu that she will fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a wife in true and every sense. Raju and Kajal go to their honeymoon and in front of Raju's late mother's photograph, Raju confessed his passionate love for Kajal for years. With time she falls in love with Raju and they both are very happy with each other. They return to India after the honeymoon. However, she faints after overhearing Raju and his father's argument about their illegal affairs in businesses. Through a Doctor Raju gets to know that Kajal is pregnant but she is unhappy about the fact that their child will take born in an environment full of crimes and violence which she has been against all her life and criticizes his business's activities to which Raju replies that he did not know about the illegal affairs taking place, and promises to give her and their child the right environment and leaves Raju's fathers house. Because of Raju's decision, Gajraj worries about his interests in Raju's father's business thinking, Raju might become a danger to his business, and orders Karan to kill Raju. Karan who is unknown about Raju's reality goes to his house to kill him and there he comes across Kajal and finds out that Raju is the husband of Kajal. Kajal after seeing the old Karan in her house gets scared about his return in her life fearing that Karan is after her happy life now. Instead, Karan is on to the purpose of saving Raju now for Kajal's sake. One day after being rescued by Karan from goons Raju (who is unconscious) is taken to his house and where Kajal apologizes to Karan for her deeds with him which is overheard by Raju. Raju tells both Kajal and Karan about his discovery of their past. Raju very wisely understands and tackles the whole situation and conveys his thoughts about destiny's plays and its tricks in their lives that humans are helpless against destiny, but he believes in love and says love is the essence which connects people and that he respects Kajal and Karan's past and praises Kajal's fulfillment of her 'dharma' towards him and says that he will name their child Karan if it's a boy. Then suddenly Raju, Kajal, and Karan are attacked by Gajraj's goons and in escaping the house under attack Kajal suffers labor pains. Karan notices that and takes Raju and Kajal to a safe place. He reaches the brothel and asks Tulsi to help Kajal deliver the child safely. Goons chase them to the brothel where Karan and Raju indulge in a fight with the goons. At one point where Gajaraj is about to shoot Raju, Karan comes in between and takes the shots. Karan dies at the moment when Kajal delivers her baby. and the film ends with Raju holding their son whom Kajal calls with the name 'Karan'.

Ratan Kumar lives a middle-class existence with his wife, Pushpa and son, Sunder. When he is asked to commit a crime for Balram Singh, he does so, but decides to keep a suitcase full of diamonds for himself. An enraged Balram sets fire to his house. Believing his wife to be dead, Ratan flees, is rescued by Dr. Saigal, taken to the palace of a distraught Maharani Maanwati, who has just lost her son and husband, but is placated after being told that Sunder is her son. For years, Ratan, who now calls himself Ramesh, works for the Maharani, and when Sunder grows up, the Maharani comes to know of Ramesh's existence, finds that he closely resembles her husband, and marries him. Shortly thereafter, Pushpa re-surfaces, an enraged Maharani attempts to kill Ramesh, but ends up killing herself, before dying she asks Sunder to avenge her death. Fleeing from Sunder and the Police's wrath, Ramesh is apprehended by the Police, tried in Court, and sentenced to several years in jail. When he returns, he becomes an underworld don, with a sole motive of bringing an end to Balram, little knowing that Sunder, who now calls himself Shyam, is also on the lookout for him, and has befriended Ravi, Ramesh's second son, who was born during his tenure in prison.
